    Thank you this is a very helpful tool. Because everyone has different tension, likes different yarns and hooks, it's smart to let them do their own calculations with the tools you provided today.

      Usually the first chain of anything is a + Number but not always the case so if you look for the obvious repeats and go from there, it should work.

    Hi Mickey,
    It's been years, but I’ve been thinking about what you said regarding the yardage estimate when upsizing a project. Since yardage is a measurement of length and most patterns provide the overall size of the project, wouldn’t it make sense to take the length and width of the baby blanket, calculate the square footage, and then divide that by the yardage listed in the pattern? This would give you a general multiplier to use for scaling up based on your desired dimensions. I might be over simplifying but welcome everyone's thoughts.

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's another ball of wax. Technically but then you need to know how many inches (cm) is a repeat to know how many times to repeat. Bodies don't grow by the same dimensions. It's why a baby sweater isn't done the same way as an adult sweater.

    • @annbashir5888
      @annbashir5888 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheCrochetCrowd ohhhh that’s interesting. I’ve seen videos for baby dresses n I’ve seen suggestions to make other sizes by the measuring method, another was change in hook size. Thank you so much for your help. Really appreciated

    Have tbis 4 lefties?

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's the same principle for lefties. The diagrams can be read from left to right or right to left, they are not just for right handed people. It's a myth. You could draw the diagram opposite to what I did and you will still have the same results.
