Hi, thanks for the video, there's one other section you didn’t cover which affects a lot of commonwealth citizens, section 2, (1)a-b. I was born in Nigeria but my father had a cukc status, this route requires the child to apply for ROA, live in the UK for 5 years before applying for your 1st passport.
My sun born in the UK he it 9 years old now it's holding ILR for 1and half years .. Parents just got LTR. On appendix fm...... When can my child get british citizenship.... Or British passport???????
Hi thanks for video, my son born in jan 2010 but I got my ILR in sep same year , he is 14 now and he has ILR under his mum name , I just want to apply and register him as British, my wife just applied separately for citizenship and I need to register my som , there is question asked : Are either of the parents of the child (as stated in this application) applying for naturalisation as a British citizen on an AN form? (Required) Yes No I would still like my child (as stated in this application) to be registered as a British citizen even if my own application for British citizenship is refused. (Required) Yes No What should I say ? Can you help me on that thank you
Hello, thanks for the video. I have a question if I may ask: If I have an acquired British citizenship and my wife has ILR and we have been living in the UK with our children for 6.5 years; can we apply to register our children under 18 born outside the UK for citizenship? What is the route for this scenario?

Yeah you absolutely can
You can naturalise it
Your child (born outside of the UK) will already be a British citizen as long as you are a British citizen otherwise by descent.
No need for the child to be registered or naturalise.
