After a week of youth season going hunting with my grandpa's friend, the one day that he doesn't go with me I shoot 2 with 1 shot and those were my first turkeys. I called then by myself and I just turned 15.
Glad Janis got to hang out with the THP crew and better yet he got to experience warbs hand signals and turrets bodily functions. Congrats on a beautiful Tom and as always be safe and stay healthy my friend.

I just noticed you have the Latvian lover with you guys LOL that’s awesome!!!....Turkey legs are pretty good but don’t forget about the dark meat on the back plus the heart and liver are amazing with Peppers and onions!!! Steve Rinella (meat eater) wild turkey breakfast sausage is amazing best thing to do with the wild turkey bar none!!!! Last year I used all the scrap meat wing, thighs, dark back meat and ground it up for the breakfast Sausage. This year I will invest breast meat for my breakfast sausage!
Janis seems to be a addition to camp. He is a good cook and gets all jacked up when the birds are coming in. That was fun watching him being on edge( can i shoot, can i shoot). Good stuff yall

Yall boys came right thru my town. My son and I went out on his first hunt that morning and it sure was cold. But he go to hear his first gobble at 5 years old. But soon as he got off the roost wind was so strong he moved off.

My son's gonna hunt with my Dad on opening day this year and I'm more excited for them and that memory than I am for my own hunt.
