A new TwoSun that I was unaware of but is likely to be my latest addition to the family. Personally, I'm fine with 14C28N steel so that's certainly not a drawback IMO. Thanks for the review and the "debut" of the TS 279.

You certainly deserve more subs. I'll be in on that GAW although my luck has been consistent with all the other knife channels I sub to. Translation ; no wins :( This is another winner from Two Sun. I love a folder with good blade to handle ratio. I'm very happy with 12c 28n steel as want to get some use out of all my folders. Another good review, I'll keep watching & writing long-winded comments.

Very interesting. I like the unique blade shape and seems to be on par with twosuns typical quality. Great review 👍

Love a large recurve. If they upgrade the steel I would definitely buy one

Thanks! Seems like 80% of TS's new offerings are Sandvik. However, if you check out Outpost 76 on YT, his cutting tests with their Sandvik is very close to his tests with M390. Unfortunately, we collectors are somewhat obsessed with "salon steels" that never get tested in everyday use. However, while I'd pay $200+ for S35VN, S90V, CPM20CV, or M390, I never would for Sandvik. Yet, that's what some very nice looking newer TwoSun models get at auction. Buyers drive the price.... LOL! 😬🗡️😬

Yeah and if they upgrade the steel prepare to pay a lot more... I paid $62 which is a great deal.

Really beautiful design. I do agree with you, and most "twosun fans" as far as I've heard, I guess.., but yes the Sandvik steel, both the 12C27 and the 14C28N versions don't seem to be working great with the satine polish which Twosun tends to favor on their knives/blades. I haven't really figured out what it could depend on, however I do have some speculative theories, which, being a layman when it comes to these things I tend to not be to "loud about". Not that it's anything bad or wrong, it's just that there are several knives in my possession that don't really have scratches as such, but rather some type of horizontal.. almost like "swelling lines", which from my limited knowledge of the manufacturing process and metallurgy overall should be something other than "conventional scratches"🤷‍♂️.
My theory is that it just may be a result of the grinding process, because if the gring is done by cnc "laser" machines, the steel can heat up to the point where these "vanes" (as I call them from the lack of knowing better terms) ..could perhaps be created. But as I said, it's just a theory based on not much more than my lack of real knowledge, but also coming from a point of interest in the brand, I think the overwhelming amount of.., anyway, I would very much like to find out, and I've been trying to look for answers online, however not overly persistently to be perfectly honest, then again I haven't really gotten any conclusive information/answers from anyone else who has noticed the same occurrence either, but as you mentioned, a user knife doesn't have to/isn't meant to necessarily be "a safe queen" of sorts. However I think I'm noticing an increasing improvement in when it comes to this, but the other thing you've mentioned is still true, the fact that the blades are more prone to scratches, real scratches that is, as well, which is equally puzzling because the heat treat seems to be good, HRC is where it should be for these types of alloys, and even the real life tests have shown good, and in some cases "relatively great results", better than a number of the (tested knives with) blades in ie. D2 steel. I recently received the TS249 in 14C28N (Wong design with the milled out holes on both sides of the titanium frame, rather small knife but beautifully designed), ..anyway, that one doesn't have the same polishing, it doesn't show those often rather beautiful vertical grid lines either, so it's kind of "less polished" (again, lack of better vocabulary, but I kind of noticed that first on the short clip which was/perhaps still is available on Aliexpress, the Twsun Cutlery Store (and yes, tho O is not present in the "Tw'O'sun" part of the name, but apparently it is owned by the same original owner of the company
so🤷‍♂️, it's not unusual in these huge online markets, managing those couldn't be an easy task. But if get the chance to, do take notice to this, it could be just a "one time thing" as I only have one of this model.
However the TS251 (also Wong designed Ti-Cf Inlays on both sides, kinda wavy top cleaver style blade - knife😓, long sentences..)😄.., that one is stone washed, and I think it pretty much eliminates or at least masks very well this "problem", and aside from that it also looks really good.
And I have noticed that Twosun has started to use the acid/stone washing treatment more often lately, before there was only a couple of models with a stone washed finish, one of which was/is the Wong designed "Railway knife" TS104. Satinefinished blades can be beautiful and Twosun is doing it very well with any of the other steel types, the PM alloys are usually perfectly finished, so it would make more sense to focus on the Sandvik blades primarily, ..at least imho..,😴 ..I don't blame you, I almost fell asleep during this.. whatever I spent an hour on here😂✌.
Great review, loving the design, can't wait to receive one of them, hopefully, the other is..
I definitely have a slight problem with collecting, it's more the time it occupies than the funding, although if one happens to have an unconventional lifestyle even normally simple things can be complicated and time consuming. The world is a mess, bank offices are clean but the money is. ..money, it's circulating and does strange things to lots of people. The world is a mess, a clean slate would be in order, no.?. How.. I sure do not have any of these answers, nor do I care, ..actually I do don't I do care so but do how crazy to be to as I but why, I am tired, sleep can do, not easy in any case though necessary for as the air..🃏
Thank you for sharing, Respect and ATB.

Nice looking knife. If the handle was a bit taller, I'd be all over it. If the price is right, I might add one to the collection just for style points.

The hand fit is good, although a bit slick. Should be available at auction on eBay at around $75 or less. Thanks for your comment! 👍🗡️👍
