I love this videos!!! You explain so well! I'd love to see a video of a really hard 3d tracking, all the work around that we can do in order to achieve a good tracking in the worst case scenario. Thank you for this awesome content.
Thanks! I think I'm camera tracked out for tutorials for a little bit to keep things fresh on the channel but I will definitely get to that eventually!
What if the XY axis be predefined using F-Spy or Perspective Plotter in a certain frame then copy the camera parameters like focal length , position , rotation and then paste those after camera tracking .
Unfortunately both of those are only really for blender workflows and don't work well with syntheyes. You can think of the process we show in the video with perspective lines as the exact same thing those programs allow, but syntheyes version of them. There's no need to do those since this process does the same thing and better
Why so you use after effect for camera tracking instead of blender's camera tracking system? Is there any particular reason? Should I start using after effect too?
I actually don't use After Effects. The program I use is SynthEyes. The reason I use that is because it has much better results than anything blender could ever do. Hope that helps.
I really love the way you are explaining but, can you please make a tutorial on how to perfectly object tracking in syntheyes I really wan to know that.
Hello Jacob. Thanks for all these videos! They are VERY well made. I noticed you are not longer using Blender's Camera Tracking tools in your latest videos. Have you found them lacking...? I know Syntheyes has been around for a long time (before they were bought by Boris FX). Will this be your new recommended workflow/software now?
Yes I recently found the syntheyes to blender workflow much better for my professional work. SynthEyes is so much more accurate than blender for camera tracking and for my professional clients, I needed to take a step up. Blender camera tracker is fine for simplistic scenes but I found for feature film level tracking, it was falling behind. Hope that helps and thanks for the kind words!
When you export out of syntheyes using the blender method, it actually exports out a py file as well. You can then open blender and go into the scripting tab, open the py file, and then execute the script, it will import the same data in manually. There's not really a point to do that, but the option is there if you need it!

Awesome stuff! Thanks for the tutorial
Thanks so much! Glad you liked it!
@@Jacob_Zirkle Btw It would be awesome if you did more tutorials on syntheyes 😊
God bless you for this bro. You did this for me, I appreciate greatly
Of course! Thanks for the comment and hope this helps!

@@Jacob_Zirkle thank you
thanks! although I'm a 3dsMax Vray user the lens axis tips were awesome!
Thanks so much! Vray just came to blender so can't wait to try it out
❤❤❤thank you so much sir
Of course!

I really wan to know that.
Thanks for the comment! I'd love to eventually explore object tracking in SynthEyes but I don't have any experience. Maybe in the future!
Such a great video and would be great if you could do more syntheyes videos
Thanks so much! More syntheyes videos are on the horizon

Thank you very much , How can I open it manually in blender?
