    Great job, I have been mulling around a similar concept in my head to build a foldable bar for wedding and event rentals. The bins on the shelves is a genius touch! Freakin Awesome!

    Are your walls 3/4" thick and the shelf supports 1 1/2" thick boards? If so does that seem to make it a little heavy?

    • @loungelogikk1083
      @loungelogikk1083  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, the walls of the main bar frame are 3/4" boards (trimmed 1x4's) but the shelf supports are actually full size 1x4's (true to size, so 1" thick). That helps keep the weight down while still providing a wide enough ledge to support the shelves. The bar is heavy, around 200lbs when fully assembled, but the individual pieces of the 6ft version are manageable by a single person (we recommend 2 people for the 8ft version simply because of how big it is).

      They are detachable 22" stainless steel bottle rails. The ones in this video are from Krowne, but they unfortunately no longer make them. We currently use a similar rail from TableCraft that can be purchased from most restaurant supply stores in person or online.

      All of the vertical boards in this build are 1x4's which are glued together with dowels to keep everything straight. The height of the boards varies depending on if levelers or casters are used, but we generally aim for a finished counter top height of about 44" from the ground.

    • @loungelogikk1083

    What type of hinge is that??

    • @loungelogikk1083
      @loungelogikk1083  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As a standard we use a total of six 3" steel surface mount hinges with non removable pins on both our 6ft and 8ft folding bars. For heavier frames, such as when we use casters instead of levelers , we swap them out for stronger 6" strap hinges.

    How does the top attach?

    • @loungelogikk1083
      @loungelogikk1083  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The counter top simply sits on the top of the bar frame, no hardware required, and the perimeter trim keeps it in place.

    • @loungelogikk1083
      @loungelogikk1083  ปีที่แล้ว

      The bar in this video is a 6ft bar and its overall dimensions are 71"W x 27"D x 44"H. We can also build this design at 8ft wide, which is more comfortable for 2 bartenders to operate from.

    can you tell me the hinge name exactly?

    • @loungelogikk1083
      @loungelogikk1083  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      For this particular bar we use 3" surface mount hinges that can be purchased in pairs from McMaster-Carr. When we need something more robust, such as when we build the frame with casters, we switch to 6" wide strap hinges.

    This is rad! What bin system is used here? And the black material? It has holes in it?

    • @loungelogikk1083
      @loungelogikk1083  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks! We use Cambro poly boxes for the wells and add a valve to the bottom of the center well to drain into the jug below. The black material covering the shelves is a layer of interlocking bar mats which creates a raised, non-slip work surface.

    • @MezcalBuzz
      @MezcalBuzz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@loungelogikk1083 thank you for replying! What size Cambros did you end up using?

    • @loungelogikk1083
      @loungelogikk1083  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For this configuration we use two 4.75 gal. 14"x18"x9" Cambro boxes on the sides and one 13 gal. 26"x18"x9" Cambro box in the center (the one with the drain). We've done other configurations as well: 2 large wells on the ends, 3 evenly spaced small wells, and even no wells at all. The great thing about building each to order is we can configure the shelves to exactly fit what our customers need.

    • @loungelogikk1083

      Those are called bottle rails or speed rails and can be purchased from most restaurant supply stores. The rails in this video were made by Krowne but as far as we know they discontinued the product during the COVID years so we've had to switch to a different brand.

    • @loungelogikk1083

      We use Cambro poly food boxes (full and half size) for the ice wells in this build. We've used both white and clear versions on our builds, but I think those are the only two colors Cambro makes in this particular style. They can be purchased from most restaurant supply stores (we get ours from a local Chef's Toys) or online.
