- In this video, I show you how I make pinch pot mugs. You can make a pinch pot mug using a number of pinching techniques. Here I make 4 pinch pot mug designs using two techniques. I make a couple of bowl-shaped pinch pot mugs. And two cylinder-shaped mugs, one is a tankard shape and the other is a more classical mug shape.
Fabulous video. Thanks for the detailed instructions 🙏🏻🌸
Amazing video and such a gentle tranquil presenter. Thank you very much I learned a lot particularly how to use the various tools to achieve such a smooth finish. 😊
Thank you for this detailed tutorial, I learnt quite a few very useful techniques from it!
Thanks a lot!
Thank you very much for sharing the knowledge
You make wonderful videos.❤
Hello fr South Africa, I also use string to measure,!!!! about to make mugs and tea cups for a tea set challenge I set myself, all hand made inspite of wheel work, ur videos all very helpful , just found u!!
Hi Margot, thanks for your message. Tea set challenge sounds great! Hope it goes well!
Thanks for sharing God Bless
Lesley, I'm loving your videos, but I have a question, how many grams of clay do you use for each mug?
Wow nice video 👍
Thanks!
Nghệ thật vá đẹp👌👍🌹🌹✌
So nice
Do you use always stoneware? Have you been used earthenware? At the moment, i am learning with earthenware,, but, i know that stoneware is better.. thank for sharing your videos!
Hi Marcela, I do sometimes use earthenware. I love the look of red earthenware clays. What type of earthenware are you using?
@@ThePotteryWheel I use earthenware white color from Spain. But, I would like to apply colors like glazes or underglazes. (Marco or Duncan). What do you opinion for example if I use like base white color (engobe) and then to use pigments of color? because in general, this white color is not pure white color. Thank you!!!
Hi i just wanted to ask if you could perhaps make a video on adding relief to a pot and how long, on average, would you say a classic normal sized pot takes ?
Hi Parneet, do you mean, how can you carve into the pot/mug and create a texture? This mug probably took about 2 hours to make. Handbuilding is slower than using a wheel, but it's lovely to do.
@@ThePotteryWheel Hey , i mean like adding clay ontop of a pot for example like adding balls ,etc ??
Hi Leslie, i was wondering if I can use air dry clay on a pottery wheel
Hi Luis, yes you can. I don't think you can use all air dry clay on a wheel, but some is suitable.
Must get myself a shore form! Spelling??
Surform! :)

i don't have that greater thing
Hi Allison, you can buy one from a local hardware store, it's called a surform.
