Fun fact about the first game: Reynor and Clem announced they'll both play Random for the 1st game, and they randomly ended-up with both their main races. That's why they went "XD" "lame" during the game. I was in the crowd for the tournament. c:

@@WinterStarcraft Yes, before the match they said on scene they were going to play random for the first match, but sadly... Well you know the rest of the story ^^
The colours look awesome because they chose the right colours for their races. Other colours can look good, but, at least in my opinion, the best colours for teran are red or blue, for zerg, green or purple, and for protos it's blue or yellow.
Nope, Zerg players will say Terran is op and Terran players will say Zerg is op. That’s how human beings work. But if you look at the results, tournaments winners are more often Zerg players.

I like the green color for zerg. Different colors every so often is nice. Should probably avoid ever picking purple for zerg, though, for obvious reasons. EDIT: removed comment about red-green colorblindness, I was wrong
Hey, red-green colorblind person here. Most people with this form of color blindness have no problem distinguishing between obvious red and green. It’s only when the colors are more subtle or mixed, like red-brown, green-brown, etc., depending on lighting, where it’s a bit harder to tell. It could be that it’s much more severe in some, but most people I know with red-green would be totally fine with the colors in StarCraft
I think that this shows how Zerg players need to be creative, need to task risks to beat Terran players, where Terran can just have a huge bio ball with lame medivac instant-loading units, and simply wreck havoc without much investment.
Yep, I often have to go insane playing as fast as I can just to beat some brainless 70 APM mech player. It’s truly not fun to play ZvT at all, nor balanced. Maybe it’s balanced if you have 500 APM, idk.
For game 2 there's a few things I wanna point out that I feel pro players need to start looking at. 1: Upgrades. Clem could've traded 1 Medivac for 1 weapon upgrade, and I believe at a few points he would've been able to pick a Mutalisk for it. On top of that, just the overall DPS is a significant increase, which is obvious why that's good. It would've in theory made Medivacs slightly less necessary as fights would've been shorter and Mutalisks would have to retreat sooner if not die. 2: Killing overlords. At about 23:30, Clem could've taken not even 10 seconds to gun down 6 Overlords. Hindsight is 20/20 and I can see the exact supply here, but Reynor ended up at 92 supply. Killing those 6 Overlords would've cut 48 of that, leaving him sitting at only 44. The lowest Reynor went down to was I believe 54, meaning he'd have to build 2 Overlords just to not be supply blocked, but that's also not considering the roughly full minute that Reynor had to not need to build ANY replacement overlords. In other words, taking those 10~ seconds to kill 6 Overlords would've cost Reynor AT LEAST 18 seconds in building Overlords to stop being supply blocked, on top of 100 minerals a pop which at that point he was super low on minerals as well. He wouldn't have been able to get enough out for probably about 30 seconds before he could build any meaningful reinforcements to defend which he ALSO would've had to mine more to afford in the first place. In other words I think if Clem killed those Overlords, he would've had enough time bought from the supply block to kill the lair in the main base, and possibly get a more favorable trade with less reinforcements or a better position to fight. Alternatively, it could've forced Reynor to stop his attack to defend due to being unable to build at home, but I believe that'd heavily favor Clem still as well as Reynor still managed a handful of picks on SCVs before having to retreat.
Ahhhh!!!! Holy Crap 💩!!🎉🎉 Winter Casting SC2. Jimmy!, I don't know why or how but I haven't been getting my daily dose of these. Perhaps it's my business lately. Maybe my schedule, at any rate I'm here

Hi guys, I have a question: If you killed all nyduses and there happens to be units inside, would they be revived when you rebuild the nydus later or are they all gone forever?
can you imagine playing in a high stakes tournament and agreeing with your opponent you'll both roll random knowing you could get 2 out of 3 races that are NOT your MAIN? and you BOTH GET YOUR MAIN?! i can 100% see why they'd both laugh and agree its lame it went that way it would have been interesting to see Reynor as terran and Clem as Zerg or perhaps a Protoss mirror
Game two this very extended base trade. If reynor just builds like 2-3 spines and plays around those on a ramp or clem makes a single bunker as a holding position to gather marines. they probably just win off that move alone. Like right here 28:39 if reynor just has like 3 spines on the hill because its scrappy game or just near his expansion not even on the ramp just around his base so he has a place to group queens/lings up and defend safely this push is just useless as fuck with no tank.
Are build times/production times faster in SC2 or are people just THAT much better/faster than in 1999-2005?? 9-10 minutes into the game and having 5 bases and 167/198 supply was beyond unthinkable in 2005.

@double2254 Nah, I just don't see it unless Clem gains a repetitive stress injury. Terran is just simply too strong against Zergs of equal skill. The recent winrates don't lie - both Protoss and Terran this month hold about a 55% winrate against Zerg and the number of games played in the Alugulac balance report shows Zergs at the top level aren't even playing much vs. Terran. TvP for the month is at about 1k games, PvZ is at about 700, and TvZ is at less than 500. Looks like they're just checking out of the matchup.
