  • Unknown to most people and not yet considered a tourist destination, Araceli is an adventure and a true "off the beaten path" location! We couldn't find much info about it (how to get there, where to stay, etc) so we decided to figure it out ourselves.
If you do decide to venture here, just know that tourism isn't a thing quite yet. Be patient, be flexible and always be respectful towards the locals!
Next video is a boat tour of the islands surrounding Araceli (you won't want to miss it)!

As a Filipino American, this makes me so happy! A couple things to know about the Filipino culture...
    1) 99.9% of us (because there are good and bad people everywhere) LOVE tourists and seeing people in our country warms our hearts, so don't be surprised if people invite you to dinner or constantly try to feed you! Our people's love language is FOOD and the Filipino titos and titas (aunties and uncles) and the Lolas/Lolos (grandma/grandpas) will try to feed you or give you free food lol. You won't go hungry in the Philippines, even those who barely have anything to eat will still find a way to make you a plate of food.
    2) If you make an effort to speak Tagalog (even a basic & polite "Thank you so much" - "maraming salamat po"), that will make the locals love you even more! It's just the utmost sign of respect
    3) Don't be surprised if people ask to take selfies with you, especially Jen because she's gorgeous and resembles Kate Middleton (you're quite the stud yourself, Rafael! lol) I'm sure some locals will want to take photos of you guys
    4) Don't be surprised if someone invites you out for karaoke night...Filipinos LOVE to sing! (And you'll probably hear at least one or two renditions of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" LOL ;)
LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! Can't wait for the next video...

Guess what? I've heard of Araceli once from a local who lives there. I was at the Manila airport bound for PPS, and struck a conversation with a guy in line to check in. He was flying to PPS, then taking the bus to Roxas, then banca to his home in Araceli! He said it was a 6 hour trip from PPS. He came up to Manila to do his Christmas shopping. I could see he had new runners on too! I liked your island hopping experience. Wow (being the only tourist there).
I've seen some of your videos, and nice to see that you actually give out precise information about the place, how to get there, costs etc.

The locals will always be friendly especially in the not so touristy places... Thank you for appreciating my country...despite my age I still want to see and explore the islands...i need not go elsewhere if its tropical vibes im looking for!

That's a beautiful long beach. Seems like you had a real local experience as you traveled using jeepney and a 6-hour? boat ride, with the locals, like the locals do. Also, Jen's excitement seems so genuine as she gets off the jeepney. Awesome content! Thank you! 👏👍

Would like to try that trip when permits. Boat rides for that long are exciting. If I may, would recommend the northern portion of Philippines, if you're a land/mountain type of individuals, you'll most likely like it, but even if you're not, you'll be swayed to like it, at least. Specific place to visit is called Batad rice terraces. Plenty of people though, but hey, can't complain. Like we're in a bumper-to-bumper traffic and yet we complain, and yet we're part of it. 😂

Hi, sorry for a delayed comment. PH is focusing to other priority projects not on tourism really. Meanwhile, (NGU) Non Gov't Units, Locals are practically on their own, no gov't help or subsidies to sustain their daily needs. FYI: Boracay came into picture because of the foreign & local vloggers,it became popular. As a result, PH Pres. Closed it down from tourist 6months for needed rehab. The place was totally abused, became uncleaned, overcrowded & environmental violations committed mainly by big commercial hotels, unorganized vendors, pity crimes by local guests & even foreign visitors were rampant then. Now it's more secured, under gov't direct control & supervisions. Eco Tourism would prevail.Positive outlook... Boracay Now & the rest, worldwide soon to follow. Come back 2 to 5 yrs. from hereon & witness the big stunning difference. Thanx, our best of luck to you, from the Philippines. ✌ 💞

That's not a nice thing to say...jeepneys are a part of every day life for many locals.
