Washing the feet of one another is a sign of Christ like humility and love in the person doing the washing. It actually is a beautiful thing. Showing humility and love should be something we all do. It does not mean we condone what others do, only that we love them. Christ did not condone sin. We are to pray for all people, even our enemies. Bit deeper than that. Considering that in the context of Christ washing the feet of his disciples it's taken for granted that he is God incarnate. So you can't view it from the perspective of one person washing the feet of another but how it would feel if who you believed to be God started washing your feet. It's not meant to be an act of atonement. Which is what the commercial seems to be indicating. All these white people washing the feet of the oppressed to atone for the sins of our ancestors and the very "sin" of being born white. It's message is confused and muddled to say the least.

Looking at the commercial, all of the washees look like they feel like they DESERVE to have their feet washed by the washers. Their expressions are haute and looking down their nose at the washer. When Jesus humbled himself to wash his followers feet it highlighted for his followers his willingness to lift us up from our lowly lives and make us all worthy of respect, not by disrespecting himself but in putting himself into their position. This ad makes it look like they *deserve* this treatment, and we should all kiss their little toes. The other point was that, in society then, most of us *were* undeserving of such treatment, but Christ loved us so much, he did it anyway.

The stern words of Jesus were never meant to be "inclusive". Jesus said, "For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law-" This is not a hateful message, but one of a choice, because with Christ, one needs to choose which side of the fence they wish to be on. Jesus said, "He who is not with me is against me." This idea that God accepts all people, regardless of their beliefs or behaviors is totally against God's teachings. I would just add that the modern equivalent is a pastor cleaning up a mess in the church because the janitor was sick. People 2000 years ago walked around barefoot and the custom was to send a servant to the door and wash the feet of house guests before they came in. This was to prevent the street dirt from messing up the house. It was not something people of Jesus' caliber did. "Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them." - John 13:14-17
So yes, he did wash feet, including the feet of a traitor AND demanded his followers to follow his example!
But not not only that, he picked this gesture of 'washing feet' as expression of faith up form Mary Magdalena, a PROSTITUTE!
"When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them." - Luke, 7:36-38
" Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven-as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little" - Luke, 7:44-47

Edit: my point wasn't stated clearly, it bothers me because of the effect. If you produced a commercial targeting unbelievers with the gospel, you'd be spreading God's word to them and would likely have some number of people curious enough to pursue the truth. By making a commercial that targets Christians for not doing enough you're dogpiling in us, and it's reaching a smaller target demographic and also not really going to lead many people down to path of salvation. Like the leftist propagandists in that campaign, you left a key part in the message of Jesus in the Gospel...SIN NO MORE! Tell me, would you call the sodomite at the last picture a sick sinner in need of healing? Jesus would. L5:30-32 Yes he chastised Pharisees for not welcoming sinners...but He also called the latter to repentance and healing and to stop sinning. You left that part in your quotes. Why??!!!

I really don't think people can be reminded enough that God/Jesus didn't preach hate. People seem to need to be reminded constantly, actually.
In this commercial I see people stopping what they're doing to tend to another human no matter what's going on at the moment. No matter their opinions or religious beliefs or politics. Switch the characters in the pictures in your mind once you've watched how the commercial is presented. Still applies. Still a great message to present. It made a lot of people stop and look and think for a minute.

Jesus did preach against hate: He said the 2nd most important commandment was to love your neighbor as yourself, and also said that whatever we did for the least of our brothers and sisters, we were also doing for him. He didn't walk around washing feet like the ad suggests, but ignoring that inaccuracy, the message was a reminder to love the sinner, hate the sin. The people in the ad getting their feet washed are generally people that conservatives look down on the actions of (illegal immigrants, aborters, etc). It was to remind us to recognize them as human beings even if we believe their actions are wrong. Judge and you shall be judged, and not one of us is perfect!

The choices of the people that were choosen in the ad actually show that they must believe white people have more humility than others, just as Jesus had. In truth there are people of all races who have Christ like humility, not just white people.

"Go and sin no more" Jesus accepts those who WANT to change and stop sinning not those who dwell in their sins.
They are literally telling people whatever they do its fine, when that's not true. God loves everyone but that doesn't mean he accepts all behaviors as the same. There is a reason God is referred to as a father, he loves all his children but that doesn't mean he won't get mad at them or even punish them for deliberately doing the wrong thing.
