An entirely freely improvised live modular synth set, using a 6U case, a 1010 Music Blackbox, Roland TR-6S, Eventide H9 and Elektron Digitakt. I had only the first couple of minutes prepared in my head, processing piano samples, but the remainder of the set just flowed from there, without my quite knowing where it was to lead.

I watched this set live, after waiting almost 30 years to see you play live after coming across your track on the Trance Europe Express 2 CD back in 1994 - it was worth the wait!

About 10 minutes into it I was taken back 30 years to listening to Scanner 2, a real favourite of mine back in the '90s (I'd never heard anything like it). This is all just so damn beautiful and subtle.

Whats so special for me is the radio tones, and all of the blips, bleeps, and spacey, electronic bliss that you do so very well. You are seriously the best, and I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to experience the wonderful music, and electronic brilliance that you produce. If only I could experience you live, that would be the ultimate.

These are some mastery sounds and textures. Good to play them on a big system, bet it's even better at a live venue.
Yes, it felt so special at the time. Most artists had used beats for the duration of their sets so decided to hold back for ages until the first clues of rhythm even began! And at volume it was truly awesome!
@@RobinRimbaudScanner I recently had the opportunity to attend a performance of Valery Vermeulen (Mikromedas) in the ASIL labs (UGent), it has a huge number of speakers where this would sound so at home.
