Hmmmmm... Gonna be honest I think the difficulty settings in this game are kinda busted. If I turn tire wear up, it should just turn everything up, both player and AI. Having different settings with different values doesn't make sense at all, or make it fair. May have to give up on the pit stop idea if we can't balance it right :(

TmarTn2 when I start to lose traction I’m sliding all over the place. I do not see this with the AI, rather the AI cars start to slow down. When you set the 4X tire wear, I believe this does apply to the AI but you do not see them sliding around turns. Although I’m sliding all over the place I believe the drive assist keeps me on the track. If I turn off drive assist, I need to slow down or game over.

One thing i noticed about Bristol, following the darker part of the track (the tire marks part) on the turns helps a lot. Keeps you away from the wall when the turns turn into straightaways (somewhat on Bristol). Don’t really gotta brake much just lift on the gas a little

If u dont understand how steep the banks are at this track, visit around christmas time when they have the christmas light show ur allowed to go once around the track to go to concessions in the middle of the track.
The thing about setups at short tracks is center rotation. You want the car to hit the center of the corner, and rotate down the track a bit. So seems how you were almost hitting the wall in practice, you might want to loosen it up a bit for some better drive off.
Trev you can look in the bottom at the map and see where the cars are that are behind you and you can press A to see lap times and how far ahead or behind you are you can also press Y to get a mirror
Hey trev as a major nascar fan heres a tip for toy in NASCAR pit stops aren’t determined by how worn your tires are their determined by the amount of laps cars can go before running out of of furl and they stretch pretty close to the limit usually only 2 or 3 laps before they run out
I usually do 100% races on the Nascar games, and I usually pit when there's 2 laps of fuel remaining. If it's a caution, I do whatever the other cars do.
Also, if you want to see at least one scheduled pit stop you have to have 13% race length minimum with 4x wear. That will get you to run out of gas before finishing the race. Ideally you want to play 25% race length with 4x wear so it's equivalent to a 100% race with normal wear.

I live about an hour from Bristol motor speedway so it’s cool to see this race track in a game I’ve been to it before (just the truck race though) at Christmas they have a thing called speedway in lights and you can actually go in and drive on the track... trust me the banks are steeper than what you think!!!
Btw there are 2 numbers on the track in bottom left, the second number that isn’t yours is either second place if you are first or first place if you are not in first

I noticed when you turn up the AI tire wear they tend to slow way down after 8 to 10 laps. Tire will blow around 9%.

A tip for pit stops is that you need to be going 45 mph or less and you won’t have to take a penalty.

I play a bunch of NASCAR games, but unlike Trevor, I'm a pretty aggressive player. Like I won't hesitate to wreck another car if it gets in my way.

The 4x tire wear and fuel consumption IS for both you and the cpu. Setting more wear for the AI gives you an advantage.
