It'll be interesting to see how or if your gait changes with the gym work. Hope you're back running fully soon 🤞🏻

so the bottom line is everybody has unique biomechanics, so there are no "best" shoes, just shoes that work more or less with your individual biomechanics...
    Speedy recovery!

I think Saucony Triumph 22 could work for you as well. It is a PB foam but not as soft as in Endorphin Speed (or PWRRUN+ in previous version) and with the injury in your calf healing, the 10mm drop will reduce the loading on your calf.

This was great. I currently run in the Ghost 16 and found I have less calf tightness. I went from Hoka Arahi 7 which I didn’t like at all. I felt every bit of the road in them. I’m currently on a deep dive of the podcasts. Really enjoying them.

Based on logic I’d advise the Pegasus 40 for your feet.. the glycerin 21 should be quite soft not?

I had this done when I was diagnosed with Morton’s Neuroma in my left foot. I went there thinking I needed insoles, however after this analysis it was clear where the problem was. I went from facing injections and surgery to following simple exercises that changed how my feet landed and carrying on running with no problems. I didn’t even need the insoles. My before and after scan pictures show how effective it was. Absolutely a must for any runner in my opinion!

Just wondering how much analysis was done of your footstrike whilst running? Walking and running are different movements and the loads developed on your feet differ massively. Would a deeper analysis of running movement result in different outcomes?

Listen to what he says … walking does give a truer reflection of gait

Really interesting, thanks for sharing. It is amazing that it was possible to recommend a type of shoe with a drop size and type of foam density. 👍

Really quite a good video. But it confirms what I have thought since the Alpha fly 1. Any TH-camr who says that they don't like it and can't run in it, inevitably turns out to be a poor quality runner with pretty bad form (usually heel striking). The same with other super shoes generally too. These shoes are designed with the elite in mind first and foremost and they all land mid to forefoot and running at a speed which is essentially sprinting to the rest of the world. The shoe dynamics are set up in a way to encourage that style and so if you put a runner with poor form in them, then you will see the same complaints over and over. Most runners of marathons are basically mis sold super shoes. The time threshold seems to be approximately 3.30-3.40 marathon runners and quicker benefit and those slower don't.

Absolutely agree with the advice on the glycerine. Both the support under the foot due to Brooks’ standard supportive insole and the foam composition which is slightly firmer than most other brands. Since you mentioned fatigue during your long runs, the GTS version might work even better. The GTS is slightly firmer and the support only works when you are pronating too much, so not when your legs are fresh.

    Very interesting indeed.
I also had a similar evaluation made some time ago, at a local clinic, as a basis for recommending custom orthotics. The main issur for me - and it might be also your case - is that my running form is somehow different than my walking form.
One simple difference: I walk with a higher cadence, but I run with a lower cadence - maybe because I do not have the muscles to sustain a long run at high cadence. Of course my form is shit at the end of a long race, but this is anothet story.
In principle, I believe you should learn from the evaluation, find a tredmill running evaluation for running and see how the conclusions will fit your running workouts. There are machines that also measure muscles - or you can find a good masseur that can also give you a good indication on how your muscles are.
    Speedy recovery!

My left arch is a high arch, right foot arch is medium. Plus, my left foot is bigger ( 11.7") right foot (11.2") plus my arch is longer on my left foot. Two different feet basically. It's amazing what these scans show!

Very good and interesting video, started watching before work and came straight back to it as soon as got in! I have never had any analysis of my gait at all, beyond me(who knows f all!) fipping my shoes over and noticing they wear in the same way on both shoes but the left always slightly ahead.

We did all of that when I worked at the Dallas Running Company store in Grapevine Texas. We also, had people run in a treadmill and video taped them running too. We used an Aetrex scanner in which we emailed copies of foot shape and other info

Very interesting not seen this before, when I had my gait analysed its was a slow motion camera on a treadmill. Found that I over pronate on my right. Long story short I recently got injured and they think I have a weak right glute which I am building up. They think this could be what was causing me to over pronate, crazy how everything is linked
