I was looking for a cover of The Slits version. This is the closest I've found. I don't know the are intentionally trying to do a Slits cover, but the guitar makes me think so.
Sounds suspiciously similar to another incredibly idiosyncratic and distinctive cover. I'm all for cribbing riffs and I'm usually the first to defend even the most outrageous plagiarism, but this is just plain bizarre, not since Funk #49 have I been so weirded out by plagiarism. It begs the question of why? I suppose they were just having fun, but it's an odd choice.
Relax. Creedence covered Marvin Gaye and others have covered both. Like this: th-cam.com/video/IQxvo_9DEqY/w-d-xo.html If you need to get mad, get mad at Gugu Dolls covering "Give a Little Bit" by Supertramp. Worse, Sugar Ray did a cover of Steve Miller's "Abracadabra" that sounds almost exactly like the original. (Not that I care: I don't like either version.)
@@David-iv6jeyeah but a cover is a cover to say a band is covering a cover is just unnecessary. Artistic interpretation works in many way, either enjoy it or fuck off
Such a huge fan of this interesting and fun version of this song! Excellent job!
Grandioso cover
to me, this is the only possible version of this song: the only one that's actually drunk ❤️
I miss Nick sm 🥺
Cool cover. Different but I like it!!!

I love The Slits version it's unique and good.
This version is terrible but I like it
Cool version. I covered this song myself for my channel.
Playback speed 0.75 much better!😁
Fucking awesome
EDIT Just found that the original is Marvin Gaye's
Hmmm. I think Gladys knight & the Pips recorded it first.
Hahah cool ;-;
This seems to be modified to be faster and high-pitched compared to the real cover?
They covered it several times
This is sped up
Speeded not sped
@@Sharon-ds2bg Both are correct. "Sped" sounds better to me
Vocally, it sounds like a dodgy Merseybeat era effort.
Funny
ciao!da dove hai preso questa versione velocizzata??grazie!
Why is this shit sped up?

Plagiarism? It’s a cover or even a cover of a cover. What a dumb take.

U stole ur name from a soccer team...nice
Fuck, that's a crime against music.
True m8, this is so bad, my ears bleeding
La scopro solo ora anche se è del 2012.. vi siete risparmiati 6 anni di insulti.. orribile..
This is the single worst Motown cover in the history of recorded music 🎶.
This is how u ruin a great song....
Exactly.
Cashovina I'm not a big fan of cover songs but, in my opinion, it's not that bad
