Z2 still 1# I’ve got one and it’s never broke down,traktor software is easy! Or plug in and use the set up wizard!! After 9 years mine is still as good as the day I bought it from decks uk !! Wierdy!! Big ups man and wot a awesome video!!!
Is this mixer still usable today in 2023? How about the updates?
Used this mixer 1 time but did not get to really use it properly. I've been using a ttm57sl with serato scratch and have no complaints with how close it is to vinyl. Selling it for 300 and for 200 more I'm getting the z2, f1, and x1 I believe so all 3 and using with 2 1200s. With 20 plus years on turntables I'm excited to say that shit is about to get very real. This video helped me make my decision.
After doing lots of research and watching video after video, I've decided the Z2 over the T1 for me. It fits my style of mixing. Mine arrives tomorrow. I'm stoked. Thanks for the video.
Wow that was the best Z2 tutorial walk through ever!! You even showed me how to turn the effects on for Deck C,D.Didn't know that till now. This will make life easier!! Also my set up is exactly the same. No need really for traditional two turntables. Lol

just got my copy of this thing and I must say having rane 59s before this the cross fader is better! Why ? it's becuase the cut laf is smaller by default then in Rane 59s own fader. It's also has very slight amount of resistance in it so that's good in the way that the fader doesn't move accidentally. The fader curve adjuster is very good, you can adjust it so slightly that you can make your cut's just very very minimal amount more round so it's not so 0 to 100, but there is little fade in time :) I Highly recomment this mixer to anyone who is looking for battle mixer! Also I would add that the upper faders has more resitance then crossfader which reminds me of pioneers faders which I like very much, but still you can do your military scratches all day long!
Ty for the video just came out of retirement all my friends are running Pioneer S7 9 and 11 but I saw this Z2 years ago and I wanted this mixer just frustrated I have a Mac Os Catalina 10.12 and I can't run it. If you have a way around it if not I'll have to buy another labtop

Alot of people knock this mixer and think its just a battle mixer! far from it.. i play house music and have the crossfader turned off and this mixer does everything i need it too and much much more! love the remix decks function sound quality is immense!! solid build and setup with my turntables takes 3 minutes!! just like Mojaxx said in another one of his Fantastic reviews this thing is a Absolute Bargain for the money!! i paid £390 of ebay for a virtually new unit and my Pioneer hasnt had a look in since! alongside a X1 u have a more than capable Midi controller setup and DVS works like a dream.
For me this Smash's the Pioneer T1 out the park!

MOJAXX: hey, can you remember the mapping that you did to have your DECK C & DECK D knobs to light up/blink when you had a track/remix deck playing or CUED on the Z2 ? I have a mapping, but I only get blinking indicators on both DECK C & DECK D knobs when I have a track playing.
My crossfader isn't working. I can't figure out if it's a software issue or my crossfader is broken, which would be weird since I hardly ever used it.
If I turn up to a gig, n I’m going straight on after the person playing, how would I set the mixer up without having to stop the music?
can i add you some where maybe FB i recently started using traktor z2 and f1 kontroller been djing for like 18 years now but still on the old technics and a stanton mixer and since this week i bought this upgrade as i wanted to use vynil and digital like you on the video .. .

Hello! How do I set up TRAKTOR Z2 to record my vinyl sets on my computer? My setup is a macbook pro, 2 technics mk5 players, and the Z2 itself.
I have my Z2 but unfortunately, I have no Idea how to work this thing. As I stated, I just got rid of my Pioneer DJM T1, and I hope I didn't make a mistake in doing so. They make these mixers with way too much to learn. I'm sure the Z2 is HOT once I get everything going, but it's a pain in the Ass trying to learn every Damn thing. I'm using both, Technics 1210's and 2 Denon SC3900's..I haven't tried my Technics yet, but I couldn't get any sound out of my Denon SC3900's. If anyone knows how to set this Z2 up, please shoot me an email or text. Much Love
Put in control cds. Make sure you flick channel select to line. And have the traktor button pressed on mixer. On the computer next to track play button, click the cd icon. I have dn3500s. It worked but felt a bit clunky. I only tried it out though, 10mins ish. Sure itll be good. I have 1200s and are loving it.
may as well just use a djm300. great quality and if all is does is cue and filter whats the point? May as well use a keyboard with assignable knobs to midi learn settings for traktor and be done with it.

Hi. So I use this mixer mainly just for drum and bass. So never really use any loop features. I have an issue where I set cue points within the track, when I then choose to use that cue point the blue line appears and eventually skips to it ruining my mix. Is there a way of disabling the looping feature? I thought I’d solved it by pressing the REL/INTL button but then I just disables the cdj. Any advise would be great full.
sup mojaxx,have this mixer in the post,just wondering what laptop you using, i have desktop but need to get a laptop,checked n.i. for minimum system requirements to run traktor pro 3 but not sure what lappy to get as ive read some with the i5 processor dont always work,bit worried if i get one and it wont work when i recieve that sexy z2!peace.

Are the remix decks sync with decks 1 and 2? Can I mix from decks 1 and two and samples from ableton launchpad? Which one is better the Z2 or the xone db2?
Hey man I have a question can you use serato with this mixer or does it have to be with traktor??? Cause I have serato and I wouldn't mind switching I just looking for a good mixer I could do loop efx's and cue points stuff
How do u reset the sync after u turn it off??
Can you do effects with this mixer on Normal record/vinyl when not using the DVS part? I see people using effects on digital but not a normal.
You can! Hit shift + the traktor button on the Z2. Traktor will change to Live Mode and you can use the effects while using ordinary CD-players or turntables. Just make sure you set the BPM in the main traktor window because else you will get crazy stuff going on. Traktor doesn't read the BPM from the live input sadly enough.

I Have a problem with the stripes, they load, but they load realy short, and I don´t now why. This happen after upgrading, I fill sick about it.

I think there’s still nothing like it in that pricerange and you can get a used one for about 200-300 € - if you dont like it you can pretty much sell it for what you paid for it then
@@MilanFourTimesEight very tempted to buy one of these mixers. It's moving from serato to traktor I think is the most difficult choice to be honest.

The z2 also works with classic vinyl, but you can’t use the fx, you can only use the filter

The Pioneer djm t1 kills this for a traktor certified mixer.I bought the t1 over this toyish lookin thing.Pioneer all day!
I'm usually a Pioneer user when it comes to mixers, but the Z2 really is a lot more impressive than it might look at first glance. That T1 does look great though, I'm hoping to compare that at some point.

It's a timecode vinyl, can buy them on nativeintruments I think

My reference to you is DO NOT BUY TRACTOR DJ SOFWARE OR CONTROLER.
1. customer support is poor, example: they don’t know answer, they will hang up on you But first good luck of finding their contact phone number
2. Tractor DJ software audio has pop,,click, audio freeze, audio cut out, audio slowdown and has glitchy sound.
3.there is no solution to fixing all these problem and thinking about refund u can forget it because you won’t get a refund.
