I'm pretty sure they were all appreciating it, it is a small garden so they're unlikely to go out of earshot!

Unfortunately it seems in this day and age most people take musicians and even virtuosos like Gordon for granted. We have so much of everything and in immediate demand that people.like Gordon arent respected as much as they should be.
I saw him play at Derby in the 90s and wveryone was rapt.

I live in Brecon South Wales. About 10 years ago.... There's was an ad up in the Theatre window saying this guy was, playing. I'm a guitar player myself.... But had never heard of Gordon. So I decided to check out a song or 2 on TH-cam. This being one of them, and The Dodo's Dream. I find him mind blowing. I told my best friend Jon about him.... He's also a guitar player.....and was equally blown away. So we decided to book 4 tickets..... 2 for our girlfriends at the time. We went..... And there was only about 50 people there. Gordon was sat on the stage. And the chairs we were sitting on and for the other people also..... We actually on the stage also. So we were sat literally 12 feet in front of him. He was absolutely mind blowing. He talked between songs. And he had a screen behind him. That would display imagery of the albums in relation to what he was playing. One photo came up of him and Brian May. About him working on this song with him. I'm a massive Queen fan also. And it was at that point..... With him mentioning other people that he knew and worked with over the years...... That I realised how well known and respected he was in the music/guitar world. I just remember thinking how lucky and privileged I was to be seeing and listening to him. The tickets I think were 8 - 10 quid. Worth every penny. And I have acquired some albums of his since. An absolute genius. What a legend. 🎸

It's great to see Gordon Giltrap playing his signature model guitar. I have one of these (guitars) too, and it is my main acoustic, and a lovely guitar. Great video - thank you for sharing :))

In the 1960s my dad worked with a very young Gordon in woolwich, when GG came to do a gig in my dads hometown many years later and we all dutifully trooped off to see him.
My dad showed Gordon a flier he had from the 60s and G asked if he could have it. He didn’t remember my dad, but my dad was chuffed to see his old apprentice doing so well.
My dad was a painter and decorator, nothing to do with music!

Brilliant, Gordon. Have always admired your skills, since I first heard them during your solo performances on the Buskers' Tour in 1969....
