@Ngaire Wood they are the sweetest but they shed nonstop since they’re part lion head- brushed mine out for an hour and he still shedding the same amount. Barely made a dent.
Buns are so vengeful. You pick them up or do something they don't like, and the pee just comes out.
They’re probably scared…do u handle them a lot? Mine don’t scratch me or pp on me. But I’m with them everyday all day..

When I had my bunny there is no way he would let me cut his nails. It was definitely a job for the vets office. And they even said my rabbit was "more opinionated than most rabbits", and "more difficult than others" lol. I miss my boy.

The towel is smart 😂 I just brush my bun on the rug then lint roll after. He does not like to stay in one spot though so I basically end up chasing after him🥲 he doesn’t mind the grooming, he’s just being a trouble maker

Look online for where to find them, usually around your rabbits bum, it may take a bit to find them so give bunny lots of treats and praise. Then just clean with a damp q-tip or paper towel! Careful, it STINKS

@@alisonmccainthey're two glands left and right of the bum and they're in a spot where the skin is folded. So it's difficult for bunnies and for us to find them. Also it's very dried and needs enough time to moisture it before removing it.
@@alisonmccain some bunnies dont/cant clean themselves enough. it could be for many reasons like if they're overweight or disabled, but like the other person said it's also a hard area to find anyway. sometimes it's also just hard to clean if it dries or gets caked on so they need help.
one of my bunnies is on the chubby side and has trouble to clean her scent glands so I have to do it for her.

Rabbits, there are some days I can clip their nails and groom them and there’s some days they say no way Jose. Lol and those leg kick scratches. People have questions when they see them on my arm lol I completely understand.

It costs you your sanity haha. My Flemish giant doesn’t love being brushed or having his nails clipped, and my lionhead, even though he is the smallest, puts up a big fight. Luckily my little Rex is good about it

I HATE trimming nails! Makes me so anxious 😰 I have to hold them while my wife cuts them. Shaving our Angora, Silkie, is stressful too! Ellie and BoBo are in very good hands. 🐇🥰👍 My wife has a scratch on her boob that's left a scar from over 4 years ago from our first bunny, LB. 😮

@@BoboEllieBuns that's a very good idea! We have too many to send to get groomed, we'd have to win the lottery! 😂 We bought some great rabbit clippers for Silkie, they work like a hot knife through butter. Makes shaving her a breeze! 👍

My female is hard to catch. My male is polite but he do flip. I'm scared because of his back. If it's normal?
My bunnies never pay me for their excellent grooming :( (BTW I use a folded cotton rug on the grooming table rather than a towel so if my doe is being fussy ("Someone tried to touch my feet!!!" is the most common gripe) she can dig dig without it causing an issue.) My bunnies' grooming care also includes cleaning poop off back end (for my senior bunny who has arthritis and can't groom as well) and cleaning up drool for my special needs/dental disease bunn, and giving her her daily injection. Likely, they're both pretty agreeable...as long as I don't try to take tufts off my girl's feet!
My bun also has arthritis, his hind legs were curling under him and hopping was difficult. Now with pain medication he’s doing very well!
