Sewing a dress out of a vintage bedsheet | New Look 6262 pattern and a double bed sheet

I finally decided to make the jump and sew a dress out of a vintage sheet I thrifted last year 🪡 I used my trusty New Look 6262 Pattern and made some changes to the neckline and waist. This was my first time attempting to pattern hack but I think it turned out great In the end!

You could always put a band through the middle to lengthen the bodice xx

Did you understitch the facing cause that will help it to stay down

I've made upv the bodice but I'm confused by the long waist darts, they go right up onto the boob itself. Is that right? I lowered them to below the boobs but it doesn't look right either.
