I was hit by a car at 9 months pregnant (while riding my scooter)

As if being pregnant during a pandemic itself was not hard enough, at the very end of my pregnancy (I was 9 months pregnant, with a very big baby belly) a car hit me while I was riding my scooter.
That was an incredibly scary moment of my life and I was in total disbelief and state of shock for hours.
It took me quite some time to calm down and fully realize what happened and what a dangerous episode that was for my baby.
And the worst was that the driver of the car simply left afterwards, police could do nothing and I was left with bruises and a damaged vehicle...
So, this is the story of that day (it happened in September 2020), that I share with the hope that it might inspire other women to be extra careful when approaching the road during pregnancy, and try to prevent situations that are almost unthinkable.
