The first step when connecting aluminum fence to a masonry column or any wall is to determine the finished height of the fence. The next step is to get a center mark on wall where top of fence bracket will attach. Then by holding aluminum fence panel jig up to the desired height and centered on the wall mark use a 4 foot level to make sure the fence panel is straight up and down or plumb. Once you have it level use a marker to mark the holes in side of the aluminum bracket to mark where you will drill your holes.
Now that you have the bracket holes marked remove the panel and use a hammer drill and a masonry bit and drill the holes for each aluminum fence mount or bracket.
Once holes are drilled you can then use a cordless drill with a nut driver and attach each fence bracket to the wall.
Another aluminum fence installing tip is if you're attaching them to split face masonry columns the brackets might not sit level. If that is the case use a grinder with a diamond cut blade to grind ever so slightly to make the area flatter so the aluminum fence bracket will set flat and solidly against the column.
