thank you so much! i’m trying this tomorrow! it think i may have cut my drawstring to short and i can’t fully remove it or it will be too big. any tips?
@__sophers__ It is possible to restring a drawstring or add a new one. You could try pinning the drawstring in place with a safety pin while you make the size adjustments.
Thank you mary! I have a pair of capezio with elastic drawstring and the shank lenght is ok, but the heel (exactly where the drawstring is ) is killing me. No chance to cut the upper heels?
If you want to get creative, you can cut it and then restitch it or insert extra elastic and stitch that in. Just be careful if your drawstrings are elastic, be careful to only cut the binding and not the actual drawstring.
That was really educational! I got fitted in these shoes that were too small, but I donated them. Thanks for the tips.
I am so glad the video helped. That was nice of you to donate them 🩷
@@DancewithmaryNYC after my sore toe incident, I just wanted to get rid of them. The studios I dance at have times in the year to donate.
This video helped a lot. 🤩

Try stretching it with water or rubbing alcohol first. See if you can get the fabric to stretch.
@@DancewithmaryNYC i tried with water a few times...

@@DancewithmaryNYC thank you so much for your amazing knowledge :)
One last thought : Have you tried a smaller or thinner toe pad? I like the Nikolay moleskin pads.
