    I've had 2 boats will collars on them now ,and I can honestly say they are awesome and completely worth the money and the funny comments you get from "non believers"
    My 4.5 m now behaves more like a 5.5 m which gives me more confidence and peace of mind.
    Great video, cheers

      Yeh mate apart from not being the best looking addition to a tinny, I can't see what other mod you could do that transforms a boat like these do. Cheers, ORT

    Thanks for this! So you don’t glue the collar to the hull at all?

    • @ourrealitytravels
      @ourrealitytravels  ปีที่แล้ว

      No worries, it was something I looked for when I put the first collar on so thought it might help some people out.
      No glue on the smaller boats, its says optional in the instructions and I think required for larger boats. No issues without it on the smaller tinnies I've done. Cheers, ORT.

      Not sure mate, give Kapten Boat Collars a call, they might have a fitter down there. Cheers, ORT.

    Hey mate have you had to tighten up the screws on the collar yet?

      Yeh mate they recommend after a month. I nip them up every few months, but they dont really come that loose. Cheers, ORT.

    Hi Brett, How is the slime line collar going compared to the maxi collar

    • @ourrealitytravels
      @ourrealitytravels  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Its good, but not as good (as to be expected). I'm going to do a full review of it soon. If you don't need to save weight or space, I'd go the full collar. But in saying that the slimline is still night and day from a tinny without a collar. Cheers, ORT.

      Hey mate.
      I'm about to order a set to fit the new F370 Quintrex. Torn between the Slimline and the Maxi. Is the Maxi a fair bit better for stability?

    They’d collect some nice salt behind them.I’m sure they’re work great but geez they’re ugly and putting holes in my boat is a big no for me.
    Great job explaining mate.

      Haha they certainly dont win any prizes in the looks department. I've not noticed any issue with salt but 100% there will be some get in, no way to stop it. The holes is hard one to commit to, but honestly I've given them a good bashing on two boats now and no issues. They effectively give you level floatation so its worth it IMO. Cheers, ORT.

    Still no leaks? Im really considering this but something about putting holes in the hull i just dont like im sure its fine but everywhere theres been a hole on my hull of a boat ive owed be it for the live well or the transducer even the holes where the rivets that hold in ya drain plugs go always end up leaking over time even if its only the smallest leak its something that ive never liked idk what it is if its the silicon or what but somthing always ends up leaking where theres been a hole made even my dads old quintrex topender leaked from where the transducer and where the livewell came into the boat and that was done at quintrex by the factory and it still ended up leaking so idk i just dont trust it i am tempted to give it a go though

      Yeh mate its certainly the hardest part about it all. But in all honesty, not a drop. You need to retention them occasionally and I reckon after a few years it would be worth putting new rubber seals on them. The thing is, they are all pretty much above the waterline so its such minimal risk. Cheers, ORT

      Thanks, the one in the vid is the Slimline collar from Kapten Boat Collars. If you dont need the slimline the normal one is called a Maxi Collar. I'd recommend the maxi if you can. Cheers, ORT.
