Zongzi is a traditional Dragon Boat Festival specialty. A good Zongzi comes from very complicated cooking procedure and carefully selected ingredients. Glutinous rice, braised pork, shiitake mushroom are basic ingredients. Differ from specialties of areas, peanuts, salted duck yolks, shrimp, taro and scallop are common of Zongzi.

With due respect to the old formula , fat pork should be replaced by lean ones ,with consideration of heart disease. Young ones usually throw away the fat pork which turns out to be a waste. TQ
