      Wow, I guess the Mnweni area was much more remote back then! The roads now extend pretty far into the foothills.

    Haha yee preparation is key. Positive can do attitude ... Just came back from my 3day champagne Castle. Loved it. I'll be back soon

    How cold did it get at night

      I did not have a thermometer, so cannot give exact temperatures, but it did drop below freezing at some time during the night.

      Yes, I am. They have different sections around the country. It is best to join the section closest to you.

    that looked like an awesome trek, how many miles did you cover ? & any idea about total height gained

      Thanks! The total distance was 70km (about 43.5 miles) and the total elevation gain was 4500m (about 14 700 ft)
