- In 2023 CSKA and the Ministry of Youth and Sports present a plan for the construction of a new stadium, on the site of the Bulgarian Army, in Borisova Garden. The new stadium will have 18,000 seats and will cover UEFA category 4.
In October 2023, a building permit was issued by the Metropolitan Municipality. The last match at the Bulgarian Army Stadium is between CSKA and Ludogorets on December 10, 2023, and the demolition of the old stadium began in early 2024.
The new stadium should be completed in 18 months.
