I have been natural for 12 years and I am going back to being relaxed. The maintenance is time consuming and frustrating to me. I am going to miss it but I can’t deal with it anymore. 😩
I love watching relaxed videos. I have relaxed hair because I am a busy wife and mother to a toddler so having relaxed hair is so much easier for me. Plus it is easier to maintain in my opinion. 💗💗💗💗💗
I’m thinking about getting a relaxer this week . I’ve been natural for almost three years . This is the longest I’ve been natural . It’s just too much for me .
I’m enjoying your process. You’re so gently and patient. I’m thinking of perming my 16yr old’s hair but don’t trust everyone. Don’t want her first experience to be traumatizing.
Soooo excited! I’m getting a relaxer after 5 years this weekend. I can’t wait. This is exactly how I used to wear my hair. In a wrap with a few tracks added. Can’t wait!! I looooove the way you speak! 😍
I loved watching this video, getting ready to relax my 6+ years natural hair because I want something different. My hair is kind of thin on top and was just wondering if I could sew in or clip a track or two and then I see this video. Thank you so much.
That’s a great way to apply the product, I wish I came to you the day I relaxed my type 4 natural hair, I went to the wrong salon, She even made me pay extra for her to add the relaxer but left the salon with 2 types of hair, the bottom relaxed and afro on top 😅
I’ve been natural my whole life but I almost chopped off all of my mid-back length hair this morning after a mishap. I found a great lady to fix it but I’m ready to relax NOW! Rushed to your description to book my slot, only to realize you’re not in the US. Omo!!!😭😭
Aghhh, I really wish I could get my hair relaxed by you😩. I’m thinking about relaxing my hair again it would be 5 years since the last time I did it, but I’m a bit concerned because I have a really sensitive spot in the middle of my scalp, and I don’t want nothing bad to happen. Can you advice me on what to do with problem? It was an amazing video 🥰❤️
Ive been natural 12 years and im really considering going back to relaxed hair! I have hair down the middle of my back and the maintenence is just so much to deal with
I wish you were in NYC. You're the first hairdresser that I've heard mention that some of your clients do not want their hair too straight! The amount of times I have to explain this and the hairdresser is looking at me like I have 2 heads! 😅
Lucky for residesnts of Lagos. I wish I knew of a salon in London that was this gentle with relaxing hair. I want to get mine relaxed but I have no idea which salon to go to
Turned out great 👌 ..how does one maintain relaxed hair? Like, if I'd like to wash it more often or use a lot of gel to style it, what products will maintain my hair's health?
I have an extreme sensitive scalp so even when sectioning my hair my scalp hurts and that is before the relaxer. Because of this I do not stretch my relaxer for more than 8 weeks because the longer I wait the more texture I have and when a comb goes through that part it hurts. I relax my hair because having 4C hair was painful for me because of my sensitive scalp. I was thinking of buying numbing cream to put before my relaxer but if you have any other advice I'd love to hear it 😊
You need to try and stretch for longer. Do a deep conditioning treatment about a week before your relaxed and do a protective style like flat twists. It’ll keep it stretched and it won’t hurt for your next relaxer.
I use summit sensitive scalp base cream it’s in a white container with red words. It’s been around for a very long time. Works great. I wouldn’t be able to handle the burning without it. Even if I don’t scratch my scalp burns so bad. I have sensitive scalp as well and dermatitis
Massage your scalp with marijuana (weed) oil. I infuse marijuana with olive oil. It works really for me. My scalp became very sensitive during my first pregnancy and with the second pregnancy it got worse.
Nice job, I self-lax I don't get burning on my scalp anymore because I rarely use oils as they irritate the scalp if you leave it on longer than a few days if you don't wash hair every week. why the extension I have never done that I can't stand them to be honest..
beautiful result. I want do just 2 questions : 1) can you do discoloration and tincture after this treatment? 2) Should shampoo be done after treatment? because they told me that you should not do it for 3 days after the treatment, because if you shampoo they burn your hair. if you have to make the shampoo, do you want to neutralize that?
Good morning im Ronelle from South Africa the Salons here don't do that nap in of the hair I hope I say it right they sew the bundles of eg Brazilian hair in .I must say you are excellent with hair I watch you videos but im deaf but when you do a client hair im glued too my phone ❤❤❤❤
I wish I saw this video yesterday before I got my hair burnt today 😭 I have been natural for almost 5 years now, and decided to relax my hair,, and the hair stylist burnt my hair and scalp, and half of my hair fell off because of too much combing, I don't even know what to do,, I have regreted and cried,, just wish everyone is as professional as this in their various fields
yeah... im gonna do it myself. Im watching lots of videos on youtube. successes, fails, all of it. I'm scared to go to a stylist cos looooots of bad "professionals" in the community. At least if i fuck up its my own fault.
Hi!! I’m getting a virgin relaxer dec 7th😬I am super nervous I bleached and colored my hair in august plus this will be my first ever relaxer 😅😅😅what preparations do you recommend?
Braids after a relaxer is detrimental! You need to wait at least 3 months for any kind of braid after relaxer. I've been relaxed for years. I know, not think.
I never liked my hair when it was relaxed and it never grow past my shoulders. Been natural for 10 years and it down my back and so long. But whatever work so some
I need one so bad. I cant afford having natural hair anymore and i have scalp psoriasis and its so hard to treat with natural hair. Also dont have enough time to take care of it anymore
Hello nice job, my ends turned out not straight on my natural hair it is now 8 weeks. Can I put more relaxer on my ends when I relax again just because the ends didn’t straighten as well the first time around
Is it possible to relax just my roots? My hair shrinks too much and I want to stretch a little without having to stretch with a stretcher all the time. And I want to do it myself. I do not want it to be really relaxed just stretched out I still want an afro 😢 is this possible? Pls pls reply me
😂😂😂, not interested in your comments 😂. Love it! Great application 👌🏾
Honestly not interested 🤣. & thank you 🥰🥰

Then you all wonder why your hair ends break. You are supposed to start from the roots.

Story of my life ,and I'm going today to relax it
Same it’s been 9 for me but girl… same!
Same I’m almost 13 years natural relaxing my hair today
yes! im here watching this video for the same reason the maintenance is too much

@@tiffanyarmstrong8247 does relaxer damage your hair, like would you have to shave it all and grow it back for it to look normal again?
Girrrlll!! Relaxing + Cornrows + Sewing= Traction Alopecia!! Braiding freshly relaxed hair?!? Wow!!
I’m like braids n sew-in after relaxing that’s a lot
A big dam mess😂
I get what you're saying, but it's just 3 tiny braids in the back
I’m not saying it’s the best thing but me personally I have very thick and resilient hair so I used to do this a lot to be honest
Right now I'm thinking about relaxing my hair again, cause basically natural hair is killing. It so hard to manage.
You are not a hairdresser , you are a professional stylist !
Her hair is stiff but some people aren’t looking for bounce, they just want it to be manageable and it looks great.
Too stiff for my liking but too each it’s own

If you decide to do it. I recommend you make sure she keeps her hair oiled and moisturized!! Or it will break off and fall out!!
You did gorgeous on relaxing her hair. It looks so beautiful on her.
I have natural hair all my life and now i am ready to relax it. Thanks for your video.
Don't 😭
Finally! Someone who doesn’t start from the scalp.
That’s because it’s natural hair

Team relaxer!!!!! ❤. Always been. Don’t even know what my natural hair looks like. 😂. Welcome back sis
I'm excited because I get my natural hair relaxed and a rinse added this coming weekend.
My fav part about getting the relaxer is the shampoo and conditioner part because it feels like mint so cold and calm 😩

Love how you were honest....
Loved the detailed description for the steps.

You should detangle the week before too. Instead of right before the perm
Base the scalp with Vaseline the night before. It helped me

She just wanted more length because she had ah event, so that’s why we added the extensions.
The best I've seen. Can you make one on a short 4c hair as well?
nice job, customer is very talkative though

Ladies don’t do a sew in directly after a relaxer it will make your hair weak and easily prone to breakage
This is not a sew in. It’s literally just 3 tracks/lines. Calm down
