I remember having a plush version of Banjo and Kazooie and also Mumbo as a kid. I used to play with them around the house, pretending they were going through different worlds. :)

Thanks for doing this, Scykoh. My N64 began resetting itself randomly during play, so I couldn't finish the first Banjo and it kept me from playing the second. It's nice seeing a full 100% of this game. Keep up the good work! :D
Aw, I should have asked this last video, but I would have loved it if you referenced the Resident Evil "I Got A Shotgun" gag once Banjo actually whipped out Kazooie as a gun. Didn't remember how early the FPS sections would appear.
I didn't catch the first two when they were uploaded, so can I just say I've been so hyped for this Let's Play ever since you said you'd be playing this game sometime after Banjo-Kazooie. This is a childhood favorite of mine and is still one of my favorite games. Combine that with one of my favorite Let's Players and... :D

I actually think the homing eggs are more trouble than they're worth, if I remember right. All I know is, I don't have them on when I play.
Also, I wonder if the Ekum-Bokum song actually means anything or if it's just catchy music.

noobtube887 I think that events and story make it darker, the topics they use are a bit darker, yeah, and there's so many more deaths in this one. For example, that gray Jinjo family :´(, The game takes on alcoholism (The captain that lost its ship), gambling, death of many characters... etc. I myself didn't notice this as a child because they're also vague about such things but as an adult yeah, this was probably not an E game :P BUT the jokes they make, particulary kazooie, are simply hilarious, which in my opinion make it a more "fun" game to play. They were both really really great, though.

Interesting. I played the original Banjo-Kazooie, but I never owned this, so it is interesting to see how it blends elements from other Rare games together. The addition of the scoped-in kazooie is clearly something brought over from DK64, a game Rare made between the original and this. It's odd that you say the controls are finicky, as I do not remember having problems with that in DK64, which came out earlier than this. You say the FPS section feels like DOOM, but again, this looks to me like they coded in parts of Goldeneye 64 (also made by Rare). The enemy layout for the FPS section seems pretty sparse, probably because the N64's hardware would have chugged hard from having to render in more than two or three enemies at once.

I honestly didn't find the homing cheat useful. Whenever I would want to shoot something, it would target an enemy. It just became more of a bother than not.

How is it that Kazooie has NOTHING TO SAY about the fact that she is being grabbed by the neck and used as a gosh-dang pump-action shotgun? I expected Kazooie to be snarking and complaining all through that goldeneye FPS section. A real wasted opportunity for some comedic writing in there.

started playing this game for the first time today using an emulator plays perfectly, I would say I prefer this sequel to banjo Kazooie as I like that we can play as mumbo now as well so looking forward to transforming into a t rex which is one of the main reasons I want to play this game and I'm sure it must have inspired Mario odyssey where we possess a t rex in the second level - easily one of my favourite parts in that game far. 😏😏😉😉 would say though I wish there was a map as trying to navigate that first person section was frustrating

What is the point of clumping the notes together in groups of five? If they only wanted to place 20 collectables, why still count up to 100? This is just weird game design to me. Like, if they had the single notes, but also had some groups of five, it would make sense, but not with just the groups.
Wanderer Eris Maybe because every other collectible goes with 1:s, so they wanted to add variety. Plus, 100 was B-K's note limit.
