"They can take the ball home, I'll take the three points" is a fantastic quote.
Sampaoli is a meme in Brazil because of how he ALWAYS asks for new signings no matter what happens. When he joined Flamengo the supporters were already saying "NECESITO REFUERZOS" lol
Also kind of a meme in Argentina😂
As a Marseille fan, we loved how crazy he was, it fit our club really well. And he knew how to motivate players; the problem at our club has often been that we have good players on paper, but who play like dogshit. He was what was needed to fix that, and lo and behold, we finished 2nd. Then he demanded iirc Coutinho and Griezmann or something to be added to the squad, and when the board told him "sorry bro we just ain't got that kind of money" he quit on the spot haha
"Respected, if a little insane"
I want that on my gravestone
Jorge "necessito refuerzos" sampaoli never disappoint
Sampa Lobby y su amigo Besa Cheques.
His fitness assistant punched one of the club’s best players after a game last year while he was Flamengo’s manager lmao
Pedro lol
Anyone else get the COVID pop up ?
Yea, TH-cam trying to "educate" people as usual.
I did
I was wondering until 6:16 XD
@@HeraldBFChe said it once 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yep
remember we had to go to the 2018 WC being coached by this guy...
Dark times
Tbf he won Chile their first Copa America just couple years prior
@@naasthewicked they won it despite him, not because of him
@@agustintrivino9365Nono, Chile won thanks to Sampaoli's tactics, as the players fit well within his system and Martino didn't know how to respond as he relied too hard on Messi. Sampaoli's hated in Chile due to how he handled his exit from the national team, not due to his play style.
Caballero...
As a Flamengo fan, these quotes make too much sense after his performance as our manager.
👃👃
🐽🐽
r/suddenlycaralho...
não, pera, rede social errada
Eai mano tá sentindo o cheirinho?
i'm so glad people say more unhinged stuff than i do
Anyone else want this man to be US national team coach just for the media frenzy? He clearly can get the job done but it would make our national team entertaining for sure.
The story from Sampaoli about "ball posession" and the bar with the girl is not originally from him. It's from portuguese coach Jorge Simão, while he was managing Braga.
zealand has announced that he is finally, after weeks of procrastination, is gonna go for a oh here’s a deep fly ball to left field from castellanos and its a 4-0 ball game. he’s going for a run.
W reference
The crossover we needed
He’s always considered himself a man of faith
Jorge Samp-Aioli 😂😂
The mourinho quote was actually VERY similar to Sampaoli. It was a running joke whenever Madrid would beat Barcelona back in that time (a total of 3-ish matches out of 12) all being pushed by the Spanish media
He recently was managing one the biggest clubs in Brazil, Flamengo. And his time was extremely chaotic. One of his physical coaches actually punched one of the star players on the face and it became a big soap opera. Also his results were dismal. Definitely an overestimated coach in my opinion
Lol is that Joe rogan ? 💀
Maybe
As a big Sampaoli fan, that man is a certified menace.
Take a drink every time Zealand says “out of pocket”
okay but the bar thing was actually kind of funny lol
When we getting the story of the Norwegian game cancelled over fish cakes thrown on the field Zealand
2:56. He's right. When Dembele is about to hit an empty goal from 5 meters, he sends the ball to the 15th row of the stadium
You can't say that you will get canceled for saying what everyone is thinking
this is absurd and makes zero sense
It’s okay because dembele is racist so I can hate him !!
Couldn't stop doing it to ice spice bro
WHAT!
The thing is, as a football fan, I kind of weirdly appreciate these weirdos in football. Most managers nowadays, and players, are so bland, so cold, so sterile, so politically correct and safe that I think it’s really hard to get any kind of a connection to them as a fan. That’s why Klopp is almost universally beloved, he wasn’t sterile, he wasn’t bland. We could do with a few more personalities… maybe just not like Sampaoli, or people with the personality of a chainsaw like Joey Barton
what a beautiful quote just a stunning and thought provoking work of art.
Yo that quote is crazy ahahahhaha
was wondering why the cdc covid popup was there lol
You have to be a little insane to be a top flight manager, Sampaoli takes that to the extreme.
he is not insane, just an idiot. i don't know how he keeps getting jobs 😂 nobody likes him
5:45 quote hahahahah actually preety good ngl
zealand when r u gonna get your uefa class B license
"never go full autistic". It just doesn't have the same ring to it.
I lost my streak to ice spice
Me too....
but to your mom
My eyes deceive me, could it be in Tumbnail the gigantic, the huge Minas Gerais Athletic Club, a strong and avenging rooster?
Alumni were the first great Argentinian football club, Sampaoli must have said 1891, not 1991. He means that nobody knew anything about football then, they made it up as they went along and thats how he works.
He meant Alumni from Casilda, the city from where he is, and an amateur team where he started his career as a manager 30 years ago.
Parents: why don’t you study for the test?
Me: 4:25
😂
As a fellow autistic I find this quote to be absolutely hilarious and I must hear more from this man. I would go to war for this man
4:40 looks like he tried to pop a Berlin Wall joke I guess,we will never know😂
No, it was in reference to argentine rugby side Alumni, in their 1991 championship run. Sampaoli loves rugby.
Sampaoli's assistant punched a Flamengo player in the face when he was coaching in Brazil, and Sampaoli was fired multiple times for asking for more players to the point of madness in a lot of clubs. It's been known he's completely insane.
When I was in high school, I played with a kid that was legally blind, and he was the best passer on the team.
Thank you Sampaoli for being hated literally everywhere, including Argentina, Chile, Brasil, and most of Europe now, too.
It's okay to be offensive. It's not okay to be dumb.
Is it dumb to say dembele was sold at a huge loss proving sampaoli was right..
dawg I lost my edge streak to ice spice and cardi b
average gooner:
This shxt ain't never been funny
Get a dad or something
Sampaoli is crazy bro,im a Flamengo fan and in the start of his job in the team was good, but toward the end it was a mess with very bad football,he's totally unhinged.
As an autistic person myself, this is just the funniest thing. It’s like sp/ come to life.
That quote about the girl at the bar lmao wtf man!
I paused at 2:37 but why am I getting a notification on the v@ccine?(abbreviating it so TH-cam doesn’t nuke my comment.)
As someone who watched every game Dembele played at Barca, he's not wrong. But of course as a manager you can't just say that.
We (argentinians) are never beating the allegations.
Man.
At this moment of time, the year of our Lord 2024, these are no longer allegations, nor clichés. Argentinian footballers seem to think less of anyone who is not white or at least european in their origins. :)
Feel for you, but there is no point in trying to deny or hide it - it is now all over the internet.
Referring to Jorge Sampaoli as "this manager", like he's some obscure nobody shows a serious lack of ball knowledge smh
As does using the term 'ball knowledge'.
Brother forgot Sampaoli coached a Chile team that denied prime Messi two Copa America titles
"Ball knowledge" = Cringey American kid quote.
I would love to know Sampaoli’s take on you not fixing the background.
“COVID 19 Vaccine” information…alright
His right
His right what?
Well this is ableism and everyone is shovelling it under the rug
Yeah reminds me of Allegri when he said football is simple. His teams don’t have strong technique and tactical ideas and it made me frustrated as a fan when you needed a goal and technique
I take it you've heard of Ian Holloway? He sounds like if this dude was a pirate! 😂
Sampaoli is like if Matt Le Tissier’s takes came out of Ian Holloway’s mouth.
@@scpjack7856 Le Tissier is proper crackers now. I saw him live demolish my team (NUFC) in my twenties and really thought he was something. Not now. He's an effing loon. 😆
@scpjack7856 le Tiss's takes are bad enough coming out of his mouth! I really admired him as a footballer. I saw him destroy my team (NUFC) with brilliance at the Dell. Sad really.
The idea that autism makes you LESS aware of the people around you is absurd, based on how they themselves describe it. Weird comment from him but also just wrong
Yeah, I'm autistic and seeing it get used as an insult and a false equivalence just doesn't sound right.
@@suddenlystarlitSeconded. It’s up there when in my life people have said that I don’t look autistic. It’s always phrased like it’s a compliment weirdly.
Frankly I’d rather be like I am than the reverse.
Unfortunately more people are like Sampaoli than society would like to admit.
@@thomasfrost3087 It's sad that people use autism to insult someone. I could be on the spectrum myself and it could explain my problems to socialise and all of that. So, while not clinically diagnosed, listening to all of that, when people use autism as an insult, it also triggers me.
@@bundesautobahn7 Seems longer to get diagnosed these days. A friend of mine went through a 2-3 year process I think that ended last year with her diagnosis.
I was lucky that I had an observant Mother who wouldn’t let it go until I got an official diagnosis, when I was 8.
@@thomasfrost3087 My mother says in hindsight she would've had me evaluated for it. Problem was also that during the 1980s, the subject of autism was heavily stigmatised as well, not to mention that my father would've objected to such an evaluation if she had known.
Sampaoli here in Argentina is the most hated manager/coach of all time.
To be fair, Dembélé sounds like french for "fumbled"
As someone with autism, i find the quote hilarious
Zealand, you're right, I'm Argentinian, and Sampaoli is one, if not the most hated bald head here. He was the argentinian coach just before our lord and saviour Scaloni; and that quote from 6 years ago had all of us argentinians mad as shit, becouse that's what's basically was in the argentinian job: too much talk, played like absolutely shit, and no results.
The news from 10 years ago? Wouldn't that be the olds??
Man, if somebody dedicated time to translate what gets said by the old guys on Argentinian sports shows it would be SHOCKING
My autistic ass was not expecting an attack eating my breakfast this morning 😳
He's not wrong
Jorge Sun-π-Oli🤣🤣🤣
The word you're after here is "neurodivergence", bud.
Completely nailed the point though.
Have you heard about snus in fotball as a swede i find it interesting how it's infected almost every top league with a swedish guy in it
I think Zealand said sampaoli's name differently every single time
Sampayoli
Sampioli
Sampiyoli
Sampaili
Sampravioli
Sampauoli
Gotta type it Sampa Ollie.
Ahhhh, sampaoli, el pelado botón
I'm really starting to think Argentina has started hating on France almost like they are hating on England (and by extension, the UK) since 1982.
Question is Zealand, would you take Sampaoli as the USMNT coach?
GALOOOO
Sampaoli coached Argentina in the 2018 world cup and nobody will ever forgive him for it. Absolute nonsense.
Great week for us Argentinians
realmente es una de las semanas de todos los tiempos para nosotros
Por suerte se sabe que Sampaoli es impresentable y no empezaron a decir que somos todos unos forros con la gente con autismo (?
Escuchen
FFS, that is NOT what “out of pocket” means!
A generation can’t just take a common saying that they don’t understand, not look up what it means, think it means something else cause it kinda sounds like it, use it’s new invented meaning, and therefore change the meaning of the saying completely.
Actually, you can, because that’s how language works, BUT I WISH YOU WOULDN’T.
Alumni was from 1891, not 1991, it was argentina's first great team during the amateur years, won basically everything
The possesion thing with the woman is fake, it's a quote originally used to make fun of Guardiola
to further explain sampaolli's personality:
-he once was recorded previous to the 2018 WC insulting a traffic officer in his hometown iirc, basically calling him an broke ass idiot
-Sergio Aguero hinted towards Sampaolli's.... party habits.... by saying after watching a video of him "there should be doping tests for coaches, just saying"
He meant Alumni from Casilda, the city from where he is, and an amateur team where he started his career as a manager 30 years ago.
Yo I’m autistic and I WISH I could play like Dembelé.
I think you were off on this one Z. Using a disability as an insult/joke is never acceptable or justifiable. Especially not justifiable as just someone being zaney/trying to be a personality. It underplays the great harm that this sort of thing does to people, being constantly told that something integral to who a person is, is a joke or bad/embarassing
Why is Joe Rogan in the thumbnail of a Zealand vid
VAR keeps destroying the game, any reasons why there were 15 minutes of stoppage time?
Sam Paioli
Thats hilarious
Could he have put it more mildly? Yes. Was he wrong? Absolutely no!!
Pretty sure a quote like that rules him out of a job in the UK lol
That's Joe Rogan.
Why am I getting a pop-up about COVID-19?
Bro who the hell is Jorge Sampayoli?
dont Sampaoli watch 2015-2019 James Harden bc he will call him Forest Gump
I have several mental illnesses and mild autism. I don't find it offensive
In today's episode of "Americans shocked by argentines saying very mundane everyday things" (we've been on a roll lately).
I think you guys should try to wrap your heads around the concept of "other countries have different cultures from your own"
Is he wrong that’s what everyone said about dembele
The first quote was stupid but the second quote was funny but informative as hell. I thought it was funny.
Sampaoli coached three big teams here in Brazil. He gets short term results, no doubt, but then everyone around him starts having burnout and conflicts cuz he's just that toxic. Horrible personality, long term liability to any club.
Hes Afrizillian 🙃
Is it just me or is this American PC standards superimposed on other people? Even if his choice of "a word" was wrong you know what he exactly meant, nothing to do with actual autistic people, but you still choose to get offended.
I still find it funny how Z defends one of the worst teams in the Euros by saying they are some of the most talented teams. France like England got lucky getting this far. As he made his prediction he was at the same point even saying that France will win because they are the best team for years. Right now I really am thinking if he actually watched France play at the euros because this was nothing compared to the WC 18 and 22.
I don't see how any of what sampaoli said was wrong.
The only reason mbappe and dembele are not criticised more is due to their skin colour.
As an autistic person, I can see what he means but it is still hilarious
I can say that most of the Argentineans despite Sampaoli, indeed he represents our lowest points in the recent football history. We can't also understand how he or Pochettino keep being signed for important clubs, they're awful
Dembele has COVID?
