I just rescued a stray cat literally 5 minutes ago. This is the first video I came to for knowledge. I have adopted cats before but never took in a stray before.
@@MsMinglifestyle Yes, it is : ) The only thing is the older I get I have started developing animal allergies. I am trying to do everything I can to change my life around to fit them in it. It's going to take some work but it's worth a try. I'll make sure to check out more of your videos for tips. Do you have any tips or made any videos on DIY on how to screen their health and get them checked up naturally to make sure they are in good health?
@Isamar Morillo Hi : ). The kitty is doing really well. His name is Charlie. Happy and healthy. Took him to the vet to get checked out and all is well. I also got a nice air filter with a HEPA filter and that helps a lot. We have both adjusted to each other. Thanks for asking.
@@breathofgodministries3955 If you don’t mind me asking, about how much did the check up with the vet cost? I’ve been vibing with a stray cat and want to take her but I want to be able to afford the expenses to provide a better life
thanks for this video! i just adopted an adult stray and had no idea what was i in for! them constantly begging for food breaks my heart but it's really hard to deal with haha its comforting to know i'm not the only one XD
Yesss! Also it gets better! After 1 year, Simba finally relaxed and now we trained him to eat only when he’s hungry. Now we just lay out food for the day and there is always leftovers. It’s a long journey with stray cats. But it’s soooo rewarding!!!
My stray cat sits on my chest and purrs when I cry. He also doesn’t meow when he speaks to me, but speaks in gentle cat noises. I was not prepared for the love that a cat would bring into my life! 🐈💚
About cats who dont like to be held: my cat, although she's very sweet & sleeps with me, does not like to be held. Because of that, i dont hold her to try to make her like it - but in case of emergency its important i'm able to pick her up and quickly put her in her carrier for her own safety. Things like earthquakes, tornado warnings, or even if your cat is injured-all could mean you need to quickly get them in their carrier either to go to the vet or just get to safety. For that reason, once ot twice a week i gently pick my cat up and i practice holding her 1-2 minutes, max. As soon as i put her down she gets her favorite treat. The idea is to keep her used to being picked up even if she doesnt like it. The last thing i want is an emergency, needing to get her contained and i cant bc i havent picked her up in years and shes freaking out when i try. Just something to think about :) i never hold her long or try to make her stay and cuddle, just pick her up and literally hold her 30-60 seconds, maybe walk across the room and back with her, then put her down and give her a treat and tell her she is a good and kind cat :) 🐱
Thanks for the tips! Yes I’ve been holding Simba for 3-10 seconds now each time. He’s grown to be sweeter now that we have a baby! And we’ve rescued another stray cat from the neighborhood- Nala to be his GF 🤣
I literally went through the same thing I found an orange tabby on the street he was following me I decided to keep him for a couple of days, he won me over his name is Simba and I love him with all my heart and he’s not going anywhere ❤️.
Yesss! And he was playing tough for the first a few weeks with us. But now Simba follows us everyone in our house. Hey Simba is the best name! Congrats on your Simba too!
Thank you both for rescuing you handsome orange cat. Such a kind thing to do!! My husband and I adopted a orange cat that was left on the doorstep with two siblings and we LOVE our “CHIP” so much. However, he is also gobbles his food and wanted something to eat every time we went into the kitchen. We bought a feeder that you can set the timer on so the food comes out in the dish at the times you set it for. It’s the best thing ever. Chip use to try to wake up about 5:00am when he was hungry. Now his feeder goes off at 5:00, he goes into the kitchen, has some food and now comes back to sleep 💤 I love that you set up a Instagram page for him. I have been thinking about doing that also. Love you Miss Ming 🐾 ❤😊❤
Thank you so much for sharing your story!!!! We got a feeder light that but we ended up not using it lol! My husband gives food to them so they could love him more 🤣🤣
An orange stray kitty cat fell in love with me too!!!! I’m not allowed to have pets yet but he already knows that I’ll adopt him as soon as I’ll move out!!!!!!!
I’ve never had a cat because some of my family is allergic but like a year ago a stray (or feral not sure) kitten came to live in my chicken coop. Over the last year I’ve slowly been making progress with her and she had three kittens 🥰. They’ve all gotten fairly comfortable with me, walk up to me for pats, will walk into the house with me etc. In a week I’m getting them all neutered and I’m very nervous about it so I’m hoping they don’t hate me for it 🤞🏻
I have a friend that loves cats and only has cats that “have adopted her”. When a cat finds a human that they want I think there is a bond and love that is so special 🐾❤️
Haha we later rescued another one! Same story in a new neighborhood~ now we have a Simba and Nala! Simba bonds with me more and Nala is attached to my husband 😬
Im happy i watched this video i learned a lot from you and im planning to adopt and to be honest this is the first video i watch in my whole life thank you keep in touch bless you
Thank you for this video. I am bringing home a stray tomorrow and he looks just like your Simba...well...Rengoku (what weve named him lol) is skinny and missing hair but he will look like Simba soon enough.
@@MsMinglifestyle so far so good. I have him quarantined in a room so it's hard because I just wanna let him out but he's doing great. Used his litterbox last night, he's eating...sleeping and cuddling with me when I visit him. Letting him out today.
I have had cats as a kid, and all my life since some 40 years. All good advice and well thought out. Sometimes we humanize cats too much and think they act out of emotions about us when it is something more general like their upbringing and past life. Cats hunt, but they are small enough to be prey as well and so many of their actions come from that .
There was a cat my dad and I saw at a picnic shelter and she was really thin and we had to leave her behind but we are going back there for a party in 1 week and if she’s still there we are going to adopt her or bring her to a shelter, but if we do adopt her I want to know how to keep care of a cat :)
Yesss! If you find her, maybe give her some food and bring her into a carrier. Try to have her checked by a vet ASAP and do the vaccine. It’s very easy to take care of cat: food, water, and litter box haha! Try to give the cat some space until she is comfortable with y’all. Good luck!!
love this video i came on to search for adopting stray cats videos and this is so helpful!! going to be taking my community cat home in a few weeks i can’t wait thanks!!
I want to tell something about stray cats. Most of them are not stray since born. They were born near someone house and the person start feeding them until the kittens can run and climb. But because most people don't want to let them sleep inside the house, some of the them might climb inside the engine bay to sleep in it. Because engine produces heat and they love it. In the morning home owner leave the house for work. The kitten fell in the middle of nowhere and become a new stray. There's a reason why some strays are friendly and some are not. If you want to let them sleep outside, just wait until they are big enough so their body cannot fit inside the engine bay.
Thanks for sharing! Yes our vet said that Simba is a domestic cat that was neutered by a shelter and put into our neighborhood. We adopted him to be an indoor cat, which is great because we had snow storm last year and freeze this year. He wouldn’t have made it outside 🙏. We are grateful that he’s our family now 😉
With my family we adopted 3 stray cats. The 1st cat was adopted in mid July 1979, 2nd came around late September 1981 was finally adopted mid November 1981, 3rd cat came around in June 1993 and was adopted in mid November 1983. The first 2 cats were red tabby cats. The 3rd cat was a cute tuxedo cat. The 2nd cat was more mine cat because I bonded with him. He was a big sweetie. 1st cat was laid back and was very friendly with different cat around his turf. 3 cat came from an abusive background. He was a funny cat. He was sweet and friendly and then he was pissed off. He had mood swings. He didn’t liked to be hold or picked up. The 1st cat was easy to picked up but, he didn’t liked it too much. The 2nd cat was big and did got out of my arms. I did hold him in my arms to watched the birds outside in this one bird feeder. He just let a little meowed at the bird. He was the 1st cat to go. He had cancerous tumor in his body. He lost 7 pounds. He weighed 20 pounds for the longest time. Towards the end his weight was 13 pounds. He was sweet and friendly towards the end. The 1st cat almost lived with my parents 18 years. He was old sweet and friendly cat. The 3rd was put down from balancing issues. I was lucky that both of my parents liked those cats. The 2nd cat was my favorite kitty to have. He was very sweet and friendly cat. He was liked having a dog around. All 3 cats were indoor and outdoor cats. The 1st cat was a good hunter. He did brought home lived garter snakes to show off his trophy. The 2nd cat wasn’t a much of a hunter. He was a big lover. 3rd was another good hunter. Somehow he ate a mouse w/o any teeth. Each cat that I liked in a different way. 1st cat was a buddy to me. 2nd cat was my bestie for a little bit over 12 years. 3rd cat was my play thing. I did have helped my sister on raising 2 kittens towards early adulthood. Both kittens came from different pet stores. One was a beautiful tuxedo Manx cat and the other one was a sweet red tabby cat. Both cats did grew up together as besties. They did slept next to each other and even played each other. I fell in loved with the red tabby kitten when I first met him at the bottom of my feet standing by the fridge. He was so tiny and cute fur ball.
For this one, we took him to the vet and they put him to sleep to bathe him lol! For our second cat Nala, I bathed her in bath tub with dawn. It really depends on the cat.
I grew up with cats and bringing them home and the funny thing is, most the strays I had loved being held. While the ones born inside hated it XD I had one cat that would follow me anywhere and no matter where you were, even in the shower he would jump on your shoulder an perch himself like a bird. Like 24/7. Even had one cat that slept only when you did and ate only when you did. I currently have two cats and one I got from a friend and he is a BIG cuddler and super clingy. While my other I actually bought, gets annoyed if you hols him unless your my BIL. If you do pick him up he'll get irritated and will lock your hand as a WARNIznG, but if you don't put him down. He'll give you a gentle bite before biting you hard and than licking your hand again
I too adopted an orange kitten almost two years ago, and his name is also Simba 🐈 He's a one eyed baby lion though, cause the reason I had adopted him is to save the poor kitten since it was terribly visible that he was sick and in order to save him was to go to the vet and take a surgery. He's okay now, during sleeping in my lap
@@MsMinglifestyle yeah we're very bonded since first thing he saw was me. When I took him he was literally blind. His vision was terrible. The one eye (which we removed completely) wasn't able to see at all and the other one was very bad but I cleaned it every day and also gave him some eye drops with medicine. So he has one eye now but he sees perfectly. He was like 3-4 weeks old when I adopted him from my neighborhood and mother didn't really nurse him since he was sick. Now in about two months he'll become 2 years old 🥰
I have 2 stray cats and they’re like my family at a different place. They live outside my apartment and my family was wondering if we should take it home or not
I've been saying I wanted a cat for a while now. I used to be scared of them but a stray in my last neighborhood came to my door when I was doing the walk-through. She kept coming back and had kittens in my bushes. So I feed them all. She left and came back and had another set in my bushes again. Over time she grew on me but my son is allergic and she got mad at me bc I had a friend over and we were hanging out on my patio and she came and my friend freaked out. I told the cat to stay back and we gathered our stuff in went in. After that, she stopped coming around but I heard someone else in the neighborhood took her with them when they moved. Fast forward to my new place, a Russian blue has been showing up. I didn't know the breed until I looked up hypoallergenic cats and saw it there. So I'm considering taking the cat in if he/she returns. I never knew they were so affectionate and definitely very smart and spiritually tapped in! I'm so ready for a pet friend!
Yea yea! Definitely most rewarding thing I’ve done~ I love my cats like my babies! They are so caring! Well, at the beginning it was rough… it takes time to build trust haha!
I just want to contribute on the subject of holding cats - my boy who is now 3yo and has been with me from week 5 has never liked to be picked up (and I tried). I also have a girl who is ok with it but not her favourite thing in the world. However, I also have a stray outdoor cat that I'm feeding for 1 year and she absolutely loves to be held. ❤️ I really think it's just a preference, and it cannot be thought. ❤️
Haha we just rescued another stray!! So now the challenge is for them to get along haha! I have filmed new videos about new cats! And more cat vlogs coming!
Some cats don’t like to be held at certain times but overall you just have to be more selective about setting w fussy cats. Seated only holding might be a good intro 7:228:238:509:0910:0112:03 🧢 cats use scent to locate other cats ma’am. Leather smells & feels amazing to kitty paws so you just have to be smart
I want to adopt the stray cat that keep coming to me for food it’s been 3 month so he definitely have no one. He/she look pretty healthy and clean but what should i expect ifni decide fo take him to the vet? Blood test?vaccine how much would it cost?i need a idea what i will get myswlf into thank you.
The cost depends on where you go. Vets charge dramatically different based on the locations. I always do a standard health check for flees and tape worms. The vaccine is $100-$200 depending on where you go. Some places even give them for free~
I just adopted an adult female stray cat been feeding her for a while but I wasn’t sure if she has owners but then I saw a video where it said if the stray cat is really dirty and seems sort of skinny it’s been in the streets for a while and just like you said she’s always hungry and when I realized she’s a stray I was like aww poor girl so I just adopted her with my fiancé last night she slept with us I named her pearl but in Spanish perlita ❤ she’s a tuxedo I believe she’s black amd white she’s mostly black has white on her belly and feet and around her face ❤ she’s so sweet I love her and I already had a boy cat his name is ginger they get along well
I just want to let you know I've had cats for years and some was a stray cat, put dry cat food mixed with wet cat food, because if you just give dry cat food it can cause bladder problems and other health issues. So just letting you know.
funny story~ we actually rescued a second cat~ more video coming haha! But my boy cat is definitely a hunter~ He chases the girl cat way more than being chased lol
Great video, super helpful! The same thing actually happened to my boyfriend and I! This cat followed us home a few days ago on our walk and we are housing him now. We want to keep him but we are having a hard time getting him to use the litter box, he always wants to go outside to go to the bathroom. Did you have a similar problem or any advice on this?
Really? My cat got to know the litter box right away. Maybe try putting the water and food and litter box all together to see if the cat can understand that is for him? Also some cat prefers certain scent in the litter sand. May want to try out different ones too~
I have one Velcro kitten at home and I must be the Disney Prince of Cat as the other day I stray kitty came up to me for pets and it tried to follow me home but everyone else was like it could be dirty and transfer something to your kitty at home, so for now I'll just be a one kitty household.
Hey another stray followed me home after I filmed this video~ we quarantined her in a separate room first then took her to vet before closely interacting with her. Now they are friends~
You are such a beautiful human being!! I clicked on your video because I am in love with a stray and will welcome her to my home soon so have to prepare! 🤗
Yay!!! Congrats on your new family member! We just rescued another stray last Thursday! The same exact thing happened! A girl cat followed me home on my walk again!
Thanks for the video! Soon I’m adopting a stray cat, he’s a 9-12 month old, we don’t have him just yet, but I have met him, he’s super friendly to everyone which I’m really surprised at, he’s so bonded with a lady he follows her everywhere. But where the lady lives, it’s a no pet policy, and there’s also a man in the apartment block who wants to poison cats for some reason, so we decided to take him. I used to own a cat, but never ever a stray, so I got some questions: How can I get a stray cat used to being in a home? As I don’t want to stress out the stray cat about being in a home for the first time. And I do have a husky, but luckily she’s OKAY with cats. But how can I get the cat to not stress out by there being a dog?
Yea I would separate the cat from dog in different room until you are sure they can be ok with each other. Usually cats are the ones that initiate the attack actually. We never had problem with our stray cat adapting to the house. Just make sure he has liter box easily access to him~ slowly introduce the cat to the dog and other rooms~ good luck!!
@@MsMinglifestyle Dogs are large and a threat to a cat, so they act to defend themselves. If you get the dog to be still and in control the cat may get used to him. Also letting the cat watch from a high shelf or cat tree may make them feel safe while they get used to him not being dangerous to them
Theres a stray cat outside that i feed once a day because i dont have much money. She wants to come inside but sadly my family doesn't want her to come in :(
I need a bit of help on this specific topic, i live in a close compound with my mother, brother and grandma, looking forward to adopt a dog, the thing is weeks ago i started feeding and petting 3 stray cats, 1 mother and her 2 kittens, the mother and the daughter have progressed a lot, they follow me everywhere i go, i call them mishi (a urban form to say cat in spanish) and dulce (which means sweet), the other one is a super shy boy, he’s always scared and hides from me but it seems he likes to protect his sister even tho he always steals her food lol, named him vegeta btw, can’t adopt the 3 of them but i’m planning to build them a little wooden house next to mine, do you think that’s the right move?
I think building a wooden house for the cats is a good move! Then you can kinda keep the dog and the cats separate. If you want to get a dog, the common practice is to introduce the dog and the cats at the same time, so the cats don’t feel that their territory is being invaded by a new dog. Good luck to everything! Keep us updated!
@@MsMinglifestyle oh almost forgot something, what should i do with vegeta? he’s always scared and doesn’t like to eat while being watched, sometimes he grabs his food, when i try to touch him he runs away, slaps my hand or simply he starts trembling, today i just sat next to him and surprisingly he didn’t run away this time, he’s still scared but i think our relationship is progressing. talking about the dog, i want him to be close to the cats, maybe protect them in a way.
It kinda depends on the dog and the cat to see if they can get along first. My simba didnt allow me to touch him for the first 2 months~ But slowly he built the trust with me~ So taking it slow is usually the way to go with cats~ And sometimes they just have different personalities too~
@@MsMinglifestyle ohh okk, you’re right, they all have different personalities, the mother is super chill, quiet and calm, she likes to be pet on the head, the daughter is very affective, sharer and talkative, the son is as i said shy, protective and introverted
Anyone have suggestions on brining in a stray from outside when I already have four extremely territorial cats?? We feed this sweet kitty morning and night and she loves her cuddles, play time, etc.... But she's afraid of other cats and my cats aren't friendly to other cats. I want to save this other kitty because she seems old and frail with possibly an injured back leg. But I need suggestions on how if anyone has any ideas🤷🤷
@@MsMinglifestyle Yes I agree. It's what we did everytime we brought home another foster kitten. But this one is adult so I have more concerns. She's afraid of coming too close to our house so she remains few feet away at all times. Right now we're just trying to get her used to our garage only long enough to eat breakfast then she's moves back over to her shed🤷. I haven't tried to bring her into the house yet for fear it'll freak her out
We recently adopted a stray cat and it’s been hard getting my new baby to get used to staying inside more. She spends a lot of time outside and it concerns me cause she’s always getting hurt. How to make her want to stay indoors more?
we didn't allow our cat to go outside at all. At first Simba wanted to go outside to climb trees, but several months later he lost interests completely. We open windows with bug barriers sometimes so our cat can look outside and breathe fresh air~
Thanks for the video! Im thinking about adopting a stray cat that lives in front my house that always follow me to my house and wants me to pet him, but he's about one year old so he's used to living outside and has friends outside so im worried he might be too lonely during the day when i go to work. He's been inside of my house too i think he liked it but do u think he will be okay during the day by himself?
I think it will probably take some time for him to adapt. my cat got used to inside after 6 months or so~ My cat hates other cats. He’s a loner too. But if your cat got lonely, there is always the option of adopting more cats haha!
Do u thibk separating them from their sibling causes depression? She’s clingy here at home but every chance the door opens she tries to leave or stares out the window meowing. She’s been here for about 5 days. Sibling is not around anymore, gave him to a friend that list him :( or does she need some outside time? But I want her to b an indoor cat
I have heard that some kittens do experience separation anxiety. But usually they adapt to the new environment. Maybe stay with your cat as much as possible so she can adapt more to your presence. My cat wanted to go back outside first, but after a few months he prefers indoors now. I never let him go outside. It took some time for him to adapt. Most cats love to look outside windows tho. They are always curious and try to monitor the surroundings as much as possible~
My kitten I've had since he was a baby hunts and plays and acts like your cat, but the stray I found recently (why I'm here) doesn't seem to understand how to play at all.
Stray cat is in my apartment and he is so nice now he won’t leave and my own cat is mad and attacked him, my cat is in my son room , and the stray cat is in my room, playing with a Easter egg ball, now he’s is quite under my bed, everyday it’s been like this, but I end up letting him back out side, but often I look out the window and sometimes when I see him he sometimes be laying by the fence looking lonely, I feel bad and let him in, I don’t know what to do
Cats scratch high on trees and walls to show other animals that a big cat lives here. Your chairs might have seemed that dogs were moving in and he marked them with big boy cat marks.
I have a question, my parents say it’s a horrible thing to do to adopt a stray cat because you’re basically taking away their freedom to roam and instead confining them indoors. Because of this they didn’t let me bring my cat with me when I was moving to another country, is it true? The cat loved me so much and it would always get mad when I needed to get up and do things after having it on my lap for hours. I still think about him often and if my parents were right or not.
Definitely not true. Indoor cats live way longer than outdoor cats. If the stray cats bond with you, then definitely good idea to rescue them. However, there is a difference between stray cats and feral cats. Feral cats are not domesticated and are used to live outdoors. Feral cats don’t bond with human usually.
I was looking for videos about stray cat adoption and this was very educational, probably a month ago? a cat came into our house and she comes over everyday, the first time we fed her we gave her kitten food although she looked old bc we didn’t know there was different types 😭
A stray cat has had kittens in my home..but turns out she has fleas...what options do I have now 0.0 I don't want to know how open she is to me touching her by risking getting scratched and the vet is too far :(
Maybe try using food to bait her into a carrier~ then use the carrier to take her to the vet. My cat didn’t allow me to pick him up for months. But I used to food trick method and never failed haha
He’s asking for food _all the time_ presently bc he’s *still hungry all the time* // three food related concerns simply mean your pet is hungry ma’am. You’re a beginner but anyone knows if you’re hungry you will LOOK FOR FOOD 🐈 or 🤖
I just rescued a stray cat literally 5 minutes ago. This is the first video I came to for knowledge. I have adopted cats before but never took in a stray before.

🐾❤️
Haha we later rescued another one! Same story in a new neighborhood~ now we have a Simba and Nala! Simba bonds with me more and Nala is attached to my husband 😬
Cats are the best animals 😻
They are!!
Thanks for adopting! Literally made my day more positive
Awww thank you for the positive support!!!
Im happy i watched this video i learned a lot from you and im planning to adopt and to be honest this is the first video i watch in my whole life thank you keep in touch bless you
Thank you so much for watching! Best luck with your adoption! It’s so fulfilling to see these cute animals find their homes!! Keep me updated ;)
Thank you for this video. I am bringing home a stray tomorrow and he looks just like your Simba...well...Rengoku (what weve named him lol) is skinny and missing hair but he will look like Simba soon enough.
Yessss! It is so rewarding to see them transform! Keep us updated with your adopted fur baby!
That is sooooo true! Thanks for sharing!
About to adopt a stray my grandmother has been feeding. She isn't in great health so lord knows how much money I'm about to blow on vet bills lol.
Haha how old is she? I think some health issues are caused by outside environment too~ have fun with your new baby!!
Good luck!!
I love people like you!
Thank you so much for your support!
we found a stray cat today and he followed us home and we got told we can keep him and we named him simba and this video helped alot
Thank you! I’m glad it helps! Good luck with your cat!!
love this video i came on to search for adopting stray cats videos and this is so helpful!! going to be taking my community cat home in a few weeks i can’t wait thanks!!
I’m glad it’s helpful! It’s so rewarding to adopt!!! 😻😻
Awww thank you so much for sharing 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I adopted two feral cats after my cats of 22 years passed away. They were at a rescue and the ladies let me pick them. One of them is also name Simba
Awww I’m sure they will love you and appreciate you so so much!
@@MsMinglifestyle they do
Thanks this really helps my cat i got it today hes 7 weeks old
Thank you! Congrats on your new cat!!!!!
this is honestly a very helpful video, thank you for sharing with us ur experiences ❤️ i really learned a lot!
Thank you so much for watching! It’s such a fulfilling journey to see simba’s transformation as a former stray!
How did you give bath to stray cat afyer adopting?
For this one, we took him to the vet and they put him to sleep to bathe him lol! For our second cat Nala, I bathed her in bath tub with dawn. It really depends on the cat.
Love for sweet cats 🙏
Yesss!
Interesting! I later rescued another stray. And she is a lap cat! Definitely opposite of Simba 🤣
lol the stray that I just took in looks exactly like yours!
Yay! It’s the best thing I did! I love my Simba so much! What did you name your new cat?
I too adopted an orange kitten almost two years ago, and his name is also Simba 🐈 He's a one eyed baby lion though, cause the reason I had adopted him is to save the poor kitten since it was terribly visible that he was sick and in order to save him was to go to the vet and take a surgery. He's okay now, during sleeping in my lap
Awww you are so kind to save him! I’m sure he will bond with you to be your Simba 🥰😊🐻
Now in about two months he'll become 2 years old 🥰
You and your cat, both are gorgeous istg😩💜😚
thank you so much!!
I have 2 stray cats and they’re like my family at a different place. They live outside my apartment and my family was wondering if we should take it home or not
I love to keep my cat indoor so he can stay clean~ but took sometime for him to adapt to that homey life haha!
I found this cat at a park it was orange and it was a baby my mom thought of getting it but she didn't me and my sister we're bummed..
Maybe next time when you see him? When we first saw Simba my hubby didn’t want him either. But the second time Simba came closer and followed us home~
Wow beautiful
Very accurate cat information 😅!
Thanks for watching!
a cat just followed us home last night and is staying on the porch now. hoping this video helps me with what to do!
Yes! I hope you can help your cat!!
So what happened? 🙃
Yes! Thanks for sharing!
Dobro
first night with me stray. wish me luck guys🥲
Yay!! Good luck!
Thank you 🐱💝💗 I hope Garfield comes back...I miss him 💗
Haha we just rescued another stray!! So now the challenge is for them to get along haha! I have filmed new videos about new cats! And more cat vlogs coming!
Thank you!
Thanks for watching!!
Awesome
Thanks for watching!!!
Some cats don’t like to be held at certain times but overall you just have to be more selective about setting w fussy cats. Seated only holding might be a good intro 7:22 8:23 8:50 9:09 10:01 12:03 🧢 cats use scent to locate other cats ma’am.
I just adopted an adult female stray cat been feeding her for a while but I wasn’t sure if she has owners but then I saw a video where it said if the stray cat is really dirty and seems sort of skinny it’s been in the streets for a while and just like you said she’s always hungry and when I realized she’s a stray I was like aww poor girl so I just adopted her with my fiancé last night she slept with us I named her pearl but in Spanish perlita ❤ she’s a tuxedo I believe she’s black amd white she’s mostly black has white on her belly and feet and around her face ❤ she’s so sweet I love her and I already had a boy cat his name is ginger they get along well
I hope everything goes well!!
I just want to let you know I've had cats for years and some was a stray cat, put dry cat food mixed with wet cat food, because if you just give dry cat food it can cause bladder problems and other health issues. So just letting you know.
Haha thanks! We feed wet food on some days and dry food on the others~ hopefully they stay healthy~
if you have more than one cat that gets along, they often play that exact chase / counter chase game with each other.
funny story~ we actually rescued a second cat~ more video coming haha!
May want to try out different ones too~
@@MsMinglifestyle okay it took a few days but he got the hang of it and has had no issues or accidents so far🤞🏼 thanks for the video!
@@courtneymartin3309 try taking a piece of his poop or something he has peed on and place it in the litter box so he knows to go there
I have one Velcro kitten at home and I must be the Disney Prince of Cat as the other day I stray kitty came up to me for pets and it tried to follow me home but everyone else was like it could be dirty and transfer something to your kitty at home, so for now I'll just be a one kitty household.
@@MsMinglifestyle omg isn’t the feeling amazing when they pick you?! 🥰
Nice video!
Thank you! :)
Glad you liked it!
I used to own a cat, but never ever a stray, so I got some questions:
How can I get a stray cat used to being in a home?
As I don’t want to stress out the stray cat about being in a home for the first time.
And I do have a husky, but luckily she’s OKAY with cats. But how can I get the cat to not stress out by there being a dog?
Yea I would separate the cat from dog in different room until you are sure they can be ok with each other. Usually cats are the ones that initiate the attack actually. We never had problem with our stray cat adapting to the house. Just make sure he has liter box easily access to him~ slowly introduce the cat to the dog and other rooms~ good luck!!
@@MsMinglifestyle Thank you so so much! ❤️🥰
@@MsMinglifestyle Dogs are large and a threat to a cat, so they act to defend themselves. If you get the dog to be still and in control the cat may get used to him. Also letting the cat watch from a high shelf or cat tree may make them feel safe while they get used to him not being dangerous to them
my grandma's cat has sharp claws and doesn't want to cut it's nails. I love cats, I would defend cats. how do you wash a cat
What a gorgeous boy! How old is he?
he's about 2~ when we found him he was 9 months~
Theres a stray cat outside that i feed once a day because i dont have much money. She wants to come inside but sadly my family doesn't want her to come in :(
That’s sad… cat food is actually not too expensive~ maybe just feed him outside~
My simba didnt allow me to touch him for the first 2 months~ But slowly he built the trust with me~ So taking it slow is usually the way to go with cats~ And sometimes they just have different personalities too~
@@MsMinglifestyle ohh okk, you’re right, they all have different personalities, the mother is super chill, quiet and calm, she likes to be pet on the head, the daughter is very affective, sharer and talkative, the son is as i said shy, protective and introverted
little mini garfield xd
He’s so cute right?
@@MsMinglifestyle jajaja! fuck yeah!
Usually you need to separate them in the first 2 months until they accept each other~ It takes time but slowly usually cats eventually get along~
I think it will probably take some time for him to adapt. my cat got used to inside after 6 months or so~
My cat hates other cats.
My kitten I've had since he was a baby hunts and plays and acts like your cat, but the stray I found recently (why I'm here) doesn't seem to understand how to play at all.
yea yea. we just rescued another stray! and this second stray was so so different from our simba!! I hope they get along soon!
Wowwww 🙂 you are very sweet, I have never seen a TH-camr's comment on everyone's comment
Awww thank you!!! I love reading and replying to comments! Sometimes not right away~ but I love to see what people think of the videos~~
Ohh wow that's nice 🙂
👍
You said that cats hate otjer Animals scent but my stray cat is currently laying in my dogs kennal
You are lucky haha!
How difficult was it to bathe Simba the first time?
Lol we couldn’t even cut his nails in peace… had to pay and get it done at vet😬 the good thing is he’s an indoor cat now so pretty clean.
Stray cat is in my apartment and he is so nice now he won’t leave and my own cat is mad and attacked him, my cat is in my son room , and the stray cat is in my room, playing with a Easter egg ball, now he’s is quite under my bed, everyday it’s been like this, but I end up letting him back out side, but often I look out the window and sometimes when I see him he sometimes be laying by the fence looking lonely, I feel bad and let him in, I don’t know what to do
Maybe keeping him a outdoor cat for now and letting him in when weather is bad? Or separate the two cats in two different rooms~
He's always wagging his tail - I have no idea what that means for cats?
I think it means different things. Like acknowledging stuff, being annoyed, excited, etc. but I don’t know which type of wiggle means what 😫
Cats scratch high on trees and walls to show other animals that a big cat lives here. Your chairs might have seemed that dogs were moving in and he marked them with big boy cat marks.
true! we were trying to save money but it didnt workout with these handed down chairs haha! with new chairs my cats scatched minimal amount :)
Nice story... no need for the background music.
Did it use the litter box right away?
Yes he did!
Very nice.@@MsMinglifestyle
My stray cat just had babies helpp … I think she use to have a home 😢😢
Mine was adopted too and I couldn’t pick him up at all.
After a while he allows me to pick him up now haha! But it took like 2 years!
You have huge cat lady vibes.
🤣
I was looking for videos about stray cat adoption and this was very educational, probably a month ago? a cat came into our house and she comes over everyday, the first time we fed her we gave her kitten food although she looked old bc we didn’t know there was different types 😭
Thanks so much for watching! Hopefully this helps~
You’re a beginner but anyone knows if you’re hungry you will LOOK FOR FOOD 🐈 or 🤖
how do you adopt a cat
I’m here now bc I helped what I think is a stray get out of a tree😭😭😭
I hope you can help your stray to find a home too!
Always support his hind legs and he might be a chest cat
Cat destroys couch by clawing it. Owner says it's my fault :)
oh no! I need to cut his nails. But he hates nail cutting so we have been procrastinating on that haha
im sorry if i skipped a part, but do you have anything to say about litter boxes and stuff?
I didn’t mention it in this video. We bought the basic litter box. My husband usually changes the litter box~
Did you give vaccine?
Yes! He got the shot~ Our vet said that he was very aggressive when taking the shot lol~
I don't know why my stray cats are picky eaters. They seldom eat human food, I even bought them different types of cat food but they have preferences.
Haha that’s good! My cats started to get more picky after 1 year too~
For some reason I can get free cat
My name is Nobuhle and I am a girl
Lmao I raised my cat from a kitten and she eats everything
😂 hey she sounds like a cutie ☺️
