This is my exact sentiment. I don't want to give FlightSimBuilder any bad ideas but what also made me make the purchase is that they don't nickel and dime you on cables. The other company that will remain nameless does this and their product is just too expensive. FlightSimBuilder's price point is spot on. As student pilots we are all on a budget. I think that these guys understand this.
This might leap frog all of the button boxes and software trying to add rotary switches for the G1000 and G3000 ... oh My ! How is this added to the PC does it require Video connection ? I seem to have heard USB and VIDEO connection ... thanks !
I use my G1000 panels (from another company who's name I won't mention here - hehehe) for all aircraft that have some sort of glass cockpit (G1000s, G300s, airliners with glass). Absolutely love it. Thanks to SPAD, I even use one panel's buttons/encoders for EFIS functions.
Can't wait to get one and start mapping it out with SPADNext for my VR setup. I'll use a modifier button on my joystick to switch between PFD and MFD mode (until I get the 2nd one that is). Is it possible btw to replace the rotary knobs? From what i've seen so far, they don't look that great so maybe you can switch them.
Totally see your point and competition is always good for the market. I certainly didn't mean to imply Real Sim Gear or anyone else isn't worth it. I got to try their stuff for a bit at the Expo and it's also fantastic! I do believe for the quality of build FlightSimBuilder is definitely more within reach lol
@@OverkillSimulations I'm sure it is. I almost got it instead of simlabs setup. But bro, the first time the wind lifts a wing and the yoke spins, in your hands in a motion rig, 10 bucks you scream like a little girl. Lol
I’ve used 2 of these (PFD/MFD) for a few months. Highly recommend that you use with Mobiflight to extend to autopilot and avionics units other than G1000. I personally don’t think the price is worth it if you don’t.
I've had my FSB G1000 (MFP) since its launch. In XPlane 11 and 12, works flawlessly when programmed in-game. I *WISH* MSFS had the same programming capabilities. In MSFS, to INCR/DECR BARO, no bueno. Not to mention, in MSFS, my BARO has been stuck at 29.92 for a few months confirmed by weather (in-game).
@@OverkillSimulations I emphasized it as a question seeing you use a small monitor, The triple monitor as the addition with the expense of using manual panels over VR when building a cockpit. I have a couple vr headsets myself and eventually in the future prefer the monitor setup.
I want to get a g1000 but my issue is these panels are like relabeled, repackaged, and sold by 3 different company names... flight sim builder, real sim gear, aviatec...seems too gimicky.. might just settle with a large apple tablet gages instead for the same money ... i need a stable company to buy from
They're different companies, all the things you just rattled off. That's a weird excuse to not buy something. Like saying you won't buy a TV because there are sonys and LGs and Samsungs. Oh, the hell with it!
Thanks!
Thank you Sir!!
@@OverkillSimulations You're welcome! Great video!

2:28 and that bent, twisted monitor bezel - it should left the manufacturer in that condition...

I think the RealSimGear G1000 is worth its price and it’s Plug & Play, I Love it, but more choice is always good.

Cool kit, but it depends on how you fly. I'm in VR so the Simionic FFB yoke was the game changer for me. I had to learn to fly all over again.
I saw that at the Expo! That was definitely interesting! I would have loved to try that in VR with my motion sim
@@OverkillSimulations with a sick bag tied around your neck. Lol
@casstephens3124 lol nahhh the motion pit is fun in VR LOL

Thank you for your review. Have you had a chance to run these units using the default setup, that is not using third party interface software?
I built my OWn PFD and MFD, I can tell you right now. It is cheap Fa $650.00 ....It took me 2 month 2oo hours and at Least 500 $ in MATERIAL For Both.

unfortunately The MSFS Popouts aren't optimized enough yet , Still seeing a big drop in frames with two RSG G1000's
I lose 15 frames per second when I pop out my two g1000 screens.
I am looking at getting 2 of these today. Can you tell me how much of a FPS hit the system takes? I am running an RTX 3080 TI.
could you get a real Garmin G1000 panel and then modify it to use it with your sim ?
That would be beyond my technical capabilities but I would certainly think that would be extremely expensive but not positive
You could probably go from zero to PPL in the real world for the cost of one these.
@@jakeperl5857 about 11000 here in Tucson if you can afford to fly a few times a week
@@OverkillSimulations ok so maybe 2 PPLs, then! 😁
pls help!!! when i want to install the g1000bridge.exe i have an error that wont let me install it. how did you manage to set up that file
triple monitors next?
What about them? How I set them up? Happy to do so but I want to know what you're looking for

Definitely!
How much money
why did you have start the video like that? lol

The companys name on the front looks terrible to me, ruins the look.
Maybe put some black tape over the name or paint over it.
Thanks!
