A Cinematic Journey Behind the Scenes of a Dream.
In this 35-minutes film, where magic inhabits every scene, Hermès and director Jaco Van Dormael reimagined the story of Pegasus, the winged horse from Greek mythology, through a mischievously captivating tale divided into six acts.
Each scene features one of Pegasus' foals discovering a form of lightness and learning how to fly, recounted by a narrator with a mellow, rich voice.
These sketches are brought to life by delicate ballets of hand expressions and passionate bodies. Dancers, acrobats, and actors evolve in the scenery, as if in a dream.
This film combines the art of dance with object theatre, and life-size gestures with miniature accessories. Playing with scale, extended metaphors give free rein to the imagination.
Experimental art blends with cinematic spectacle in its naive and quirky use of special effects. Handcrafted tricks and artisanal stage sets echo the know-how and gestural culture of Hermès.
A tale in movement full of emotion.
