Brenda Lee, what a performer!! What a powerful voice! My mother and I saw Brenda live in 1979 or 1980 at the Bloomsburg Fair in Pennsylvania. I grew up listening to her Christmas album. That album is outstanding. Every song Brenda puts her heart and soul into it. Strawberry Snow has a wonderful lesson in the lyrics. Everyone should take a listen to Brenda’s Christmas album. So heartwarming and genuine. Brenda I loved your voice from a kid up. I also sing Rockin around the Christmas tree in my small town Christmas show. In high school I sang “Christmas Will Be Just Another Lonely Day” for our Christmas assembly. The entire school loved it. Keep singing Brenda! You’re awesome. A true talent. You never needed any electronic technology to enhance your voice. God blessed you with a golden set of vocal cords! Thank you for all the great music. - Sincerely, Jack James a great fan
Greatest singer. I just have always loved her singing. I was a kid. Bought every recording she made. Just a beautiful person. I saw her in Rhode Island in the eighties. Just a great singer and performer. Love her.
I remember at about age 9 in Nashville watching adolescent Brenda Lee on local TV, posed before a shopping cart, singing a commercial for a local grocery chain. Ah, some ancient memories of Nashville and Ms. Lee... :^ )
It was my great pleasure to see (and hear) Brenda Lee, Boots Randolph, and Floyd Cramer in a concert together in the seventies. Great show and a great memory.
I heard Brenda Lee sing at a Conference in Nashville, she was amazing, after she took questions and I asked her if She would take a picture with me, no problem she got right over beside and I got a wonderful picture for a great memory of that day !
She is a wonderful human being to be sure. Sadly, only got to see her perform live once, many years ago at the CNE in Toronto. She sang all het hits and was great. For such a small woman she sure can belt out a song.
I can remember Brenda Lee as just a kid and loved all her records. I was hooked on music by her, Elvis and the Rock-a-Billy bands. I had to have a guitar. In 1971 I jumped the pond and move to London UK to play in the Brit Prog Rock Band Tallis. I am 77 and never quit singing playing guitar and writing tunes. I won't quit until I wake up some morning and find ..."my poor self dead"
I heard Rockin Around the Christmas Tree twice just today. I also heard it all my life and I am a guitarist and played in bands that played it. It is a song I love and will never forget. Did you perform on the steel pier in Atlantic City? I'm sure I saw you there. Am I mistaken? It was so long ago it's hard to remember exactly when. You had such power in your voice. I'm sorry was great too.
Her songs are timeless ❤

My parents used to sing Mansion over the Hilltop in church. Loved to hear her sing that & tell those stories. What a truly special, gifted lady! ❤
