And even though I'm hyped for the rest of the story, I really would've liked to actually play the party and see how everything turns out. Coming from a person of color, this topic was something that I think was needed. It shouldn't be ignored and I definitely agree with Mari. For me, being a mixed child has put a lot of hardships because I get racial comments from both sides of my family and just people around me. This was such an important thing and I'm really glad they put this in, its good to know that popular video games like these are shedding light on real life issues.

My dad is a dark skinned person of colour and what happened to Sean and his dad is something that Ive gone over in my head a million times. Im so glad they included this in the game. What they do is they will have a bunch of photos of various strangers and then will ask people to rate the photos for attractiveness on a sliding scale or out of 10 (or some similar small number). But when someone meets you in real life, that kind of attractiveness is really not very influential on one's overall attractiveness, unless that fits beauty ideals to an unattainable degree by the standards of your average person (like, if they are in the top 1% by the study's version of attractiveness). When someone sits down to have coffee with you, for example, they don't see you as a static image with no personal connections to themselves. The majority of people's attraction to anybody else lies in those personal connections and language (like mannerisms and body language) that cannot be transmitted through those kinds of static images. I hope that made sense. I have BDD and I get a huge amount of anxiety about how I look, so I can relate to what you said. Just know that studies on attraction mostly aren't generalizable to everyday life.

Just that we never see it and in the scenes we see, Sean is attracted to the idea of her more than he is actually to her. And that's fine. I don't think they ditched it, so much as the characters are different. Sean still has his cringy moments, but they're in character for him. Max's cringyness was a big part of her character. "Ready for the Mosh pit, Shaka brah!" and all that.

When the original Life is Strange came out, I was in love with it. After playing it for myself, I had to see EVERYONE who posted Lets Plays. The very best one I ever saw was the Geek Remix version. I love not just the fun and jokes between you two, but how you really really look into every detail of the game. I am delighted to hear you read all the text messages and journal entries. So when LiS2 came out, I refused to watch any LPs until I had played ep1 for myself. Then I came directly here to see your take on it. I have not been disappointed. Hey Mari! I'm a Seattle local and to answer your question the rainy season usually starts up in September and lasts through April. Sometimes theres a snow storm in December/January if it gets cold enough but it usually only lasts a few days before the rain comes back.
Yes! I lived in Seattle for a time but have since recently moved out to Tacoma, Washington. I was living in Arizona before that so I really had to get accustomed to actually experiencing seasons lol (also if you haven't already I recommend visiting Honest Biscuits just past Pike Place Market. I miss it so much!)

Love the music in this episode, and On The Flip Of A Coin is basically explaining what the biggest theme of the series will end up being. Teaching your son (the father role being taken reluctantly by Sean) how to become a man who can fend for himself and do things outside his comfort zone.

As a latino i actually enjoy these types of characters and stories. Even if i live out of the US we know about what is happening even if they try to sugarcoat it. This is a complex and heavy theme with police that makes me angry a lot of times but im glad they are actually opening the conversation about it
This ep and Farewell show how your life can change in an instant. As someone who suddenly lost a parent at 15 I appreciate the way they really make you feel that. I finally played last night and my eyes were full of tears from this part until the end...

I don't think they ditched it, so much as the characters are different. Sean still has his cringy moments, but they're in character for him. Max's cringyness was a big part of her character. "Ready for the Mosh pit, Shaka brah!" and all that.

When the original Life is Strange came out, I was in love with it. After playing it for myself, I had to see EVERYONE who posted Lets Plays. The very best one I ever saw was the Geek Remix version. I love not just the fun and jokes between you two, but how you really really look into every detail of the game. I am delighted to hear you read all the text messages and journal entries.
So when LiS2 came out, I refused to watch any LPs until I had played ep1 for myself. Then I came directly here to see your take on it. I have not been disappointed. Hey Mari! I'm a Seattle local and to answer your question the rainy season usually starts up in September and lasts through April. Sometimes theres a snow storm in December/January if it gets cold enough but it usually only lasts a few days before the rain comes back.
Yes! I lived in Seattle for a time but have since recently moved out to Tacoma, Washington. I was living in Arizona before that so I really had to get accustomed to actually experiencing seasons lol (also if you haven't already I recommend visiting Honest Biscuits just past Pike Place Market. I miss it so much!)

I think the reason Sean wants to go to Mexico is because his mother lives there. Maybe she was: 1. deported, 2. She's the daughter of a powerful druglord and that's why she's not with them. So they're trying to find her.

Love the music in this episode, and On The Flip Of A Coin is basically explaining what the biggest theme of the series will end up being. Teaching your son (the father role being taken reluctantly by Sean) how to become a man who can fend for himself and do things outside his comfort zone.
