I love my KLX230. I have a 2023. I think they are underrated little bikes. I rode with a buddy on a KLX300 this summer. I kept up to him no problem and even pulled away from him on some technical spots.
You bagged a 13 mile bargain there, well done! Agree, can’t have too many bikes, all for different purposes! I’ve got a little KTM390 Adventure that fulfills the same function for me. Great bike for filming on, super quiet, and dead easy to hop on and off for setting up shots. Ride safe buddy!
Thanks! I like the 390, it doesn't feel like a small bike, but still a bit lighter than larger ADV bikes. Just need some more free time to get out in the dirt. Thanks for watching and the sub. 🤙😎
I sat on one of these at the shop the other day and the seat was hard as a rock, I cannot imagine a long ride on that. However, I did like the feel of it and they are saying the 2024 model will have a thicker more comfortable seat.
Yes it is not good for long rides, but at least you can stand on the pegs to get some relief. I picked up a hitch mont so I can take it closer to the trails, that will save some gas too. It's a small gas tank on this thing, good for an afternoon out on the trails. Thanks for watching.🤙🍻
I saw you asked another question about how it handles highway speeds. For some reason when I go to reply to it, it disappears, so I'll answer here. For me, it is a bit of a struggle to maintain those speeds, it is for sure maxed out, but I am a big guy, so you might be able to maintain those speeds easier. I just don't want to push it that hard. I think my top speed was around 65mph.
@@MisplacedMotoVlogger Hey thanks I did post that question but then deleted it because I rewatched your video and you pretty much covered it near the beginning. I'm a slim guy so I am thinking this bike would hold speed fine for me. I like how nimble and agile it is and the seat comfort may be better with the 2024 model which they said seat thickness is something that is changing. Anyway thanks for the reply, I like the bike and good job on the vid.
@@MisplacedMotoVlogger I got tired of waiting so ended up picking up a slightly used 2022 KLX230SE and so far I really like it. I have ordered a manual idle adjuster to tone down the high idle but so far I am really enjoying the bike.
Wow, nice find! I have basically no experience in the dirt so I have to confess sand would really intimidate me on a bike. I completely agree there is no such thing as the perfect bike. Even a bike that’s “good” at seemingly everything is merely “good” at those things; it’s not “great” at any of them.
Congrats bro!! Now that looks like fun!
Thanks bro! This thing is a blast so far. Thanks for watching.🤙🍺
Sweet! That was a nice save in that soft sand!
Just gave it gas and powered through. Had a lot of fun with it, can't wait to get back out there. Thanks for watching Bro. 🤙🍺
Great to see you back at it in the Pines - the KLX is definitely a solid dual sport and should do well back there. Ride safe!
Great to mingle with the laid back country folk. 😅 Thanks for watching. 🤙🍺

It is a fun little bike, I just need more time to ride it. Thanks for stopping by.🤙🍻🤙
I take my 230 back into Carranza and ride those trails as well. The pines are great. Love the bike.
I could use a little less sand.😂 I just need to learn to ride it better. Thanks for watching, maybe I'll see you out on the trails.🤙🍻

congrats on the new wheels and some pine action
Thanks Ben, it should be some prime pine action. 😀 Thanks for watching. 🍺🍺🍺

Don't you just hate it when they follow you home? Just kiddin' - nice find! Looks like fun, and I'm glad you didn't dump it in the sand :D
Me too, but picking it up would've been much easier than the Tiger. Thanks for watching John.🤙🍺

I'm the same way, very little dirt/off road experience, but it's fun to try new things. Thanks for watching. 🤙 🍺
