Yes, and it was also interesting when she wrote about what actually happened and how she did end up getting cross with staff who didn't follow her system at times, comparing herself to Sisters who had terrorised her in the past!
Interesting question. There seems to have been a great deal of attention to detail in cleanliness and organisation. For example she mentions doing a "locker round" on a regular basis, cleaning patient lockers, clearing any rubbish and assisting them with any minor tasks. Today we might call that "intentional rounding" but it might be just as simple as asking if the patient is okay, rather than necessarily spending that time with them. Cleaning a patient's own table wouldn't be a job that a nurse would do multiple times a day. But then again, the complexity and responsibilities of a modern nurse are probably higher.
