    nice intercooler! you will definitely free up some ponies and your car will deliver more consistent performance, pull after pull. the best is always to log before & after IAT, boost etc...and actually see the difference. that way you definitely know it works.
    btw...when you boost...i hear this high pitch whistling noise. i had the same noise on my g6 gti and i eventually changed my intake...the noise was completely gone. not sure if it even bothers you, but i didn't like it at all

    Well with this solid steel piping it’s actually a much healthier boost than silicone piping since it’s a solid flow of boost, where as the silicone stretches a bit, so the flow is more inconsistent.

    The metal tubing might look smaller on the outside, looked like you stretched the silicone pip over the outer of the metal. I'm willing to bet the smaller tubing has a very similiar inner diameter of the tube. effectively being the same piping. The added benefit of it being aluminum the air will also have better thermal cool flowing the pipe as well.

    Nice overview of the product.
    A couple of things. The ARM core is 3.25" thick. Vendors stating rated HP is not very useful without knowing how they arrived at the number. **Edit: Stated HP is worthless because there is no standard for determining it.** ARM states 700 hp and the next paragraph states that it's rated to handle 575 hp. Notwithstanding the HP value being meaningless, compared to the Vibrant 12810, which ARM is essentially a clone of, Vibrant claimed 550 hp.

    wont a bigger pipe require more air before it even starts to build pressure? more area to fill and pressure?

    • @HaydenCroix
      @HaydenCroix  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you were speaking about exhaust flow then yes. Back pressure is required to build boost. The larger size IC piping just allows more air into the engine to assist with a more free flowing exhaust to get that balance

    • @RafaelGonzalez4
      @RafaelGonzalez4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HaydenCroix IC piping allows more air, but you also have more area to fill with air, and more area to build pressure into, so there is more turbo lag? flow and pressure are two different things

    • @HaydenCroix
      @HaydenCroix  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RafaelGonzalez4 more air means more boost. And it’s the exhaust back pressure that causes turbo lag. If you have larger IC and piping it does not affect back pressure or turbo lag.

    • @RafaelGonzalez4
      @RafaelGonzalez4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HaydenCroix i guess this is where am getting confused and hesitant about aftermarket IC piping, i know more air is equal to more boost, but doesnt larger IC piping( charge pipe, and throttle body pipe) mean that you now need a lot more air in the system to build that pressure?

    • @HaydenCroix
      @HaydenCroix  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RafaelGonzalez4 I get where you are coming from, and I wouldn’t say you are wrong. But that’s because I’m sure if you put a big beefy IC in without being tuned for it you would probably experience lag. But as long as you get tuned for the IC you will not experience turbo lag from it even with a larger diameter of piping.
