no, 2 strokes aren't for long distances. They are great bikes to ride with friends and probably the most fun. But not for long distances, especially on high rpm
Hi Max, The rear wheel output was 35 hp. My NSR250R rear wheel output is 70 horsepower over. Considering the displacement at 140cc 35hp is never bad, but not good. I think that it is an ordinary result.
35 HP are 35,5 CV. I believe that this is a good starting point. 35 HP at the wheel means 38 HP at the mainshaft. BC Engineering said me that the 144cc at maximum arrived at 39 CV, don't remember if at the wheel or at the shaft. I believe that you can continue to work on your motorbike to increase the power, maybe with the compression ratio or a different exhaust. I remember you have inside your Rotax the steel countershaft gears from Rotax Max. They probably drain power and acceleration because they are more heavy than the Delrin gears, for example.
I do not use steel countershaft gears now. They are reliable but too heavy. I do not use a water pump and oil pump, so there is no possibility of putting the engine in jeopardy when the resin gears is broken. So there was no need to increase reliability. By the way I have not measured power of 125 cc.
I believe that the 140cc has no less than 3 o 4 HP more in front of the 125cc. An original 125cc probably is 28HP at the wheel, 31 when improved. If very well improved a 125cc can reach 37HP at the wheel but is no more usable under 9000 rpm and it must be rebuilt after less than 1000 km. Keep in mind that with 15cc more you gained both torque and HPs. You can gain more HP working again the cylinder inside but again you will lose again torque at low rpm. I see that you run on short tracks with short straights and many curves. May be a more elastic and torquey motor is more usable and fast than a super powerful one that has no torque. But only you can decide what is better for your performances.
@@PochiRS yes it is But you must be really good at porting and also you must talk with some aprilia's racers in italy there are a lot, they speak in english and they can help you.

Yes that's a good result. You can spend a fortune and not get much more gains. Its funny ppl think 140cc = more power, but on a dyno the genuine aprillia barrel gives 1hp more than makita n same as italkit 140cc barrells. 35/36hp is great, to get to 40 is going to be hard and expensive lol
