Arumba could you do a series starting in ck2 and going to stelaris with hoi4 and eu4 in between? And keep the same country. But the country is your choice.
but he'll already have basically won halfway through ck2. maybe if he change country every game and try to overthrow himself as the undisputed owner of the world
I don't know why, but I always associate Portugal with green. Even before playing EU4 I did. But I don't really get why blue makes more sense, I mean their flag is green and red and I think they had their emblem and these colours for a long time...
I don't know if you've already found this yet, but you can actually find the scaling for the different court levels if you click on "Current court level" above the change funding options
Whoohooo, Granada, great pick Arumba (but its much easier start then in vanilla, considering it was the most developed part of Europe at the game start, so you have so many urban pops)). Few tips (after intensive playing over the weekend). 1. you can see breakdown of court levels, it is in first row (choice). 2. I would recommend one time payments for court and education levels and to SLOWLY raise monthly payments. But, it will be very hard to keep this insane high court level. For education you have very high endowment, so should be easier. 3. When you choose conquer province or save our peopl mission you receive claim on that province, so no need for counterspying. 4. 20 minutes episodes are way too short :).
Paris, and a decent amount of Italian provinces have more Urban pop I'm pretty sure. But yes Granada is laughably easy in MEIOU, I think it's cause one of the developers have a hard-on for them, lol.
Momir Zizic I seriously had a double-take when I realized Granada starts with over a half a million people, in the year 1356. Looking a European population at the time with between 350-450 million, it's reasonable, but was kinda unexpected.
20 mins are just not enough for arumba's playstyle :D he is checking and clicking so much so the game time only moves forward by a few months each episode :D
"Additional Tags" are additional formable nations that are not from the timeframe, borderline fantasy, like the North Sea Empire, the Jagiellon Empire,....
So basically this is the way the game was supposed to be from the get-go if it wanted to be a bit more realistic. Awesome!

In spanish, when you see the tilde over some vocals (á é í ó ú), that means those syllables are tonic, so that is the syllable pronounced accentuated. Now Aruba can pronounce Cádiz, Écija, Jaén, Cáceres... correctly ^^, and all other words with tilde. :) If there is no tilde, then most times the penultimate syllable is the one accentuated, there are exceptions here, but you will be fine. On the other hand there are typos ingame, like Murcia, that is spelled without Tilde so, a little more complicated than expected.
Collecting trade in other nodes still has a mallus. It was changed awhile back in vanilla also. If you collect in other nodes you will not get the 10% upstream steering merchants bonus. So with only two you won't notice it. It does not say collecting in other nodes mallus anymore.
I know this is a year old video, and so my question probably won't be answered, but what is the name of the music mod that Arumba is using in this video?
The map is really big, and you know M&T adds hundreds upon hundreds of new providences making any experience/knowledge you learned from the base game less impactful. Besides. I doubt ANYONE is attempting to memorize province names while playing EU4. The name of the territory is less important rather than the fact its apart of the enemy nation your annexing, or that you have a claim on it. Arumba is literally conquering the entire world, or as much as he can possibly, in each campaign he plays (unless he has special rules). There is also over 4000 individual provinces in EU4 (both sea and land). Do you expect him to literally memorize 4000 different names and know their locations off the top of his head?
Is there a way to... or a mod really that has M&T’s population system? And JUST the population system? Well... cause the map looks like fun too, is there a way to only use specific parts of the mod? I don’t like how expensive units seem to be now but like I love how the new idea groups work
Yes I want to see that. That nation is such a hard start in the normal game. Castile and Aragon rival each other often enough but they seldom go to war and when they do Aragon gets decimated and your "ally" Morocco pretty much refuses to cross the straights and help out. Alternately you can conquer/vassalize Tlemclen easily enough but Castile almost always attacks you while you are still coring a few provinces and it is very hard to make Tlemclen loyal when all you have left is a few of their provinces. Plus you can't make new states or move your capital while at war. It gets very frustrating. lol
Half the time Portugal tends to DOW Granada in my case. In my opinion it's about as hard as Trebizond, only saving grace is that truce you have with Castile. God help you if the Iberian wedding fires off, meaning Castile get's a PU with not only Aragon, but Naples too. During one of my runs, Portugal who was hellbent on my destruction, he PUed England. Imagine that, Portugal DOWing you, with England and Castile as a backup. Even if you survive you tend to have financial issues. You'll be drowning in loans for a good while. Not an easy start at all, an achievement worthy of any veteran EU4 player.
wait, there's no trade malus for collecting? that makes playing italy even more appealing. their great development and really high farming efficiency already made them a top contender. btw, anyone know where to find the base FE for provinces? i can't find that info on the net or the files anywhere
For those asking how to get the mod, you first need to create an account on the Paradox forums (paradox plaza) then download and follow the steps here: forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/m-t-download-thread-version-1-99-02-link-forum-open-beta-for-v2-0-post-bug-reports-here.1022034/
Now who is the idiot who decided that you can't have achievements with mods? This mod looks far better (different better, of couse) and in depth than the basegame
It is still in beta phase, so it is not possible to be on the steam, yet (steam policy) . you can find link at Paradox forum (mod has it's own subforum).
No DLC is required, but Common sense and The Cossacks are recommended. Owning those two dlcs will make estate management much easier. Without the DLC's you interact with the estates on the decisions tab.

It hurts me, that Portugal and Granada switched colours.
I really like Portugal with that shade of blue and makes much more sense than green.
I don't know why, but I always associate Portugal with green. Even before playing EU4 I did. But I don't really get why blue makes more sense, I mean their flag is green and red and I think they had their emblem and these colours for a long time...
Well their current flag was used from 1911. Before it was the crest on a white background so it kinda makes sense
Portuguese flag was blue and white from 1128 to 1911. Red and Green are the colors of the republic and blue and white are the colors of the monarchy.
Well, nice to learn something new. :)

We need longer episodes! 20 minutes are just not enough for this mod!

Tim Müller He's really the best streaming. He gets to think as much as he wants, but we don't have to wait until the next day for the result.
Definitely going to follow this series diligently, awesome stuff!
This really seems like the love child of a better Ck2 and Eu4, I love it.
The new font makes it so much easier to read when watching on smartphone. Good move Arumba.
SOOOO Hyped that you are playing this mod. Especially now that you know what you are doing;p keep it up!

"Hello, and thank you for Germany." Don't thank me! Go say it to the HRE.
I foresee many many hours of micromanagement
Granadan Grandeur sets a new standard for title alliteration.
I live in Cadiz, it's fairly accurate that they got cores right there, since it's was one of their last 'provinces' to be lost to the Christians.

Where can i download MEIOU and Taxes 2.0?
Yay i've been waiting for this
Blue Horde = Baguette
I feel like a dick for asking this, with as many hours you have in this game how do you not know where Murcia is by name.
I do, its just faster to type it and click 'go to'
He only knows where Murica is.
He mixes up Murcia with Murica.
But...it is right next to Granada...

Gotta agree with you about the font mod. The text looks more crisp if that makes sense
Could you play Granada for the Re-Reconquista achievement? I would very much enjoy that because I have been trying and failing to get it through
Yes, that is very hard to get. And Granada does not get the love Byzantium gets from the devs.
Yes I want to see that. That nation is such a hard start in the normal game. Castile and Aragon rival each other often enough but they seldom go to war and when they do Aragon gets decimated and your "ally" Morocco pretty much refuses to cross the straights and help out.

The most common strat is Granada in the Exile till is strong enough.

And thats why he should do it.
Just a reminder that this is not 2.0, he's playing the open beta version 1.99. The full release will be available in June.
HELL YES ARUMBA play da dank mod!
wait, there's no trade malus for collecting? that makes playing italy even more appealing. their great development and really high farming efficiency already made them a top contender.
btw, anyone know where to find the base FE for provinces? i can't find that info on the net or the files anywhere
I'd much prefer good education to a good court, as far as I can see.
Feels like this mod takes a lot from Victoria II.
meerkatx it takes bits from CK2 and Vic 2, so...
MORE... We want more!!
HOLY *** this looks awesome
Does arumba have any plans for a new Russian campaign with the announcement of Third Rome?
Which graphics and map mods is he using in this video? Or are they included in the M&T2.0 pack?
I wonder how much this mod has been playtested.
Got a feeling there will be a lot of slowly spiraling towards collapse.
Why Name? This mod has been a thing since EU3. The team is fairy experienced, and updates fairly frequently.
I'm aware, but it's the first EU4 release. Can't imagine balance is perfect yet.
Yes. Teach me to play M&T!
