Matt Hasselbeck doesn't get enough credit for this win I feel sometimes. Dude's got a cast and he's leading a 7-9 team against the defending world champs in the postseason. This was one of those ultimate send off games for a player playing the last game for their most noted franchise. Guy did a lot of good things for that town, took a beating when the team fell apart, and helped make history. Will always appreciate him for his efforts.

Uh, do you even watch football? Hasselbeck was no Russell, but he was a top tier quarterback. His last few years he stumbled because of the weak offensive line causing him to get beat up and injured constantly.
I wasn't really old enough so I'm not super knowledgeable about Hasselbeck. I only saw his last few years and that was what I based my statement on. If I had seen him play more, I would probably have your opinion. It was just my lack of viewing of his game that gave me that opinion

This is the game that the announcers predicted that the Seahawks would lose and that they didn't stand a chance against the defending Champs Saints. Where Marshawn Lynch had his Beast Quake Run. We 12's knew they could do it and never gave up. It just goes to show you never go against the Hawks and their fans. I still get goosebumps...Go Hawks 24/7 !

I've been a fan of the Seahawks since I was a kid in the 70's and the BeastQuake run was probably the most amazing moment in franchise history. I get chills every time I watch it!

As a Seahawks lifer, This makes me smile every time I see it! The defending Superbowl champions, favored by 11 points get beat down by the underdog Seahawks under 1st year coach Pete Carol and get run over by a RB no one wanted anymore, who a lot of people said was a bust... A BUST! This is a game I will never forget watching. Me and my brothers were just hoping that Seattle could just not be totally embarrassed by Drew Breeze and the Saints. Then that RUN! That epic, everyone up out of their chairs run, the Beastquake… Priceless.
Thank you Marshaun Lynch for years of great runs. Every game, he might not be having a great day but every game he would have at least one run that got everyone excited. Usually over ten yards and a couple broken tackles, that energized the whole team & the fans. And he doesn't get nearly enough credit for how elusive he is. One year (I think it was his last healthy year in SEA) he led the league in missed tackles (forced) with like 87. The second place RB, the next most elusive guy in the NFL only had like 60ish, & third and fourth were in the 40-50 range. So Lynch, known for running people over, was also the shiftiest/most elusive RB in football! Crazy. P

Crazy enough it was Matt Hasslebeck’s final season as a Seahawk. He went on to play with the Titans and then to Indy. The next game after this the Jets @ Indy playoff game was Peyton Manning’s final game as a Colt.
This game was the resurgence of the Seahawks. It marked the beginning of a climb to greatness, Crowned by one of the most dominate defences ever to play football.

They played Chicago tough after this game but got off to their typical slow start and couldn't make it up. I knew we were moving in the right direction, but wouldn't have guessed we'd win a Super Bowl a few years later, in large part due to Marshawn's hard running. Love that man.

Was at this game with my late father. We were in the VERY LAST ROW of the upper deck. You needed an oxygen mask to climb up there, but we did have a nice shelf behind us to set stuff.
This game was amazing. The Beast Quake run seemed like it happened in slow motion. I swear it took 2 minutes in real time. Dad and I looked at each other, gasped, looked back, it was still happening. Unreal. (Was in the quadrant of the field in front of us. WAAAAY in front of us, but still our area.)
This clip doesn't show it, but Hasselbeck was really the MVP of the game. He played out of his mind. The Beast Quake is a lifetime highlight, but MH won this game.
