    Thank you for such a great and educational video Miss Corr!! This is exactly the type of content I enjoy watching when I watch nurse vlogs. i learned so much! and it was great to get a glimpse of everything you do!! In my opinion this video should have more views so people would learn a bit more about what nurses do and why they are so important. Have an awesome day!!

    Thank you so much for showing your work day so I could compare your work to the work I used to do for many years of my nursing career. I loved working with geriatrics as opposed to hospital adult care units. I loved my residents so much. I was often ridiculed d/t having a BSN RN training yet working in nursing homes. Most of my co-workers were LPN's and they could be very cruel. Much was expected of me, were as I just wanted to come to work and take care of my patients like anyone else. But my training usually put me in supervisory position, even if I wasn't charge or supervisor, because the whole facility was riding on my license. I worked until I couldn't walk and my back was a wreck from lifting patients. I did team work with my techs, not one to sit at the station and not help others. In fact my mentors were both LPN's and the best nurses I ever worked with! They taught me how to document to keep me legally safe. But most of all they taught me that if all the nurses weren't done with the med pass to lock my cart and go help them. It was brutal work but I so loved my people, and I did all I could to love on everyone and to treat my staff with respect and positive reinforcement. To also encourage good communication and teamwork between the different departments. I did my best and I can look back on my career and be content with my accomplishments. It's a thankless and hard job. Not one I would ever encourage anyone that was not totally committed to helping others to do. Bless you and thank you for your good work!

    I work in a carehome din sis, pero neuro rehab nursing unit, parang ward na kasi lahat ng residents namin, peg, rig tube fed, may enteral feeding, may tracheostomy, we suction as well and yung isa namin resident may NGT, before may colostomy din. Ang galing kasi ang smooth lang ng shift mo sis 🥰 wala naman ako reklamo sa work kasi na eenjoy ko ung mga skills na ginagawa namin. Tsaka napamahal na din sa mga residents. Mabuhay ka sis! continue inspiring people 🥰

    Also for the smoothness of work in a care sector is necessary to solve 2 major problems: short staff, and recruit carers who realy want to work in this sector becaus they have desire to help people.Othervise they will accept the job only to have a job and somme money

    What is your Nurse-Patient ratio there, I work as a skilled nurse facility here in Michigan, most of the staff are LPN and CNA, so I'm the Nurse supervisor, but I just work for 1 month because of the nurse-pt. ratio, it's too much and so much meds to give (its a cycle, you think you give and when you look again there are meds coming out again and wound dressing to do and the patient has no wrist name, and I'm new I don't know all the patients, a little bit scary because patients are scattered somewhere else, some are in there room, some are at the kitchen etc.

    I’m a bit confused what is a nurse implying in the UK. Is it similar to a CNA in USA? I want to transfer to the UK from Hawai’i. Cost of living is too high here. I really want to get a place of my own and in the UK, it would be way more accessible for me.

    • @CORRdapyaTV

      CNA is equivalent to Senior carers here in the UK.

    • @CORRdapyaTV
      @CORRdapyaTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s not toxic actually, the work is “too routine”. Toxic days are rare in my care home, it’s very manageable hence it can be boring😀 Hospital set-up has different scenario of course, more staff means more support, but not applicable to all hospitals, shortage of staff remains the main problem anywhere, even in NHS.
