I had expected a discussion about Eric's ridiculously lengthened legs on the back cover ... But regardless, I enjoy there interviews enormously, just like everybody else, so a big thanks to both of you.

@@Piedknabo good point ! The story on that is they gave him spider legs because he's standing on a block and a phone book. Eric is the shortest Kiss member on record.

Before I start watching this I have to say: thank you for the time and effort that you have put into each video. I have followed the whole KISS album cover series and its been eye-opening and wonderful. I've learned a lot from your conversations with Art Director Dennis Woloch. Great stuff! Looking forward to this one... Rock on!

Suggestion to do one final episode where you go back and have Dennis answer questions raised on the old videos, and I’m sure you have some of your own you forgot at the time of recording.

@@ClaudioBergaminArt Got one, I remember in the mid 90s there was a KISS fanzine from Ontario, Canada (KISS This) that had an interview with Dennis and they also had pictures of about 8 or 10 unused KISS album covers. I can email you the pictures, hell the whole interview. Some of them are cool, some are not. Does Dennis remember them today and for which albums they were supposed to be used for (because lots of them had titles, like Baby, Baby, Dragonfly, Tracks...)?

I just discovered these videos today and man... I'm amazed. Thank you, so much ❤ as a lifelong Kiss fan and a former graphic designer I've always wondered about the stories behind these album covers. These designs and photographs and letterings and colors... all these visuals form an important part of my life for the last 40 years. Again: thank you, Claudio and Dennis! Greetings from Brazil.

16:20 Goldberg was Chairman and CEO of the Mercury Records Group, which was the number one U.S. label group in terms of market share in 1998. The Mercury Records Group included music from virtually all major genres; pop, R&B, hip-hop, country, jazz and rock and roll via its labels Def Jam, Mercury, Mercury Nashville, Motown, Verve, and Deutsche Gramophone, all of which reported to and were supervised by Goldberg. Before joining Mercury, Goldberg was Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Records in 1995, during which time Warner Bros. was the number one U.S. record label. In 1993-94, he was President of Atlantic Records, also a division of the Warner Music Group, which likewise attained the number one ranking among U.S. companies during Goldberg’s tenure.
Earlier in his career, Goldberg formed and co-owned Modern Records, which released Stevie Nicks’ solo albums including her number one album “Bella Donna.” Prior to that, Goldberg was Vice-President of Led Zeppelin’s Swan Song Records and worked with the band from 1973 through 1975. He was originally a music journalist. Also see the liner notes to the 1996 YWTBYGTB compilation album, he wrote them.

I always wondered why the image couldn't have just been zoomed back to fit all 4 full faces on the LP with just a smaller image on it.The void it would have created in lower left corner could have been filled with the brush colors like the upper right hand corner was to keep it balanced....just my 2 cents, still an awesome cover art front and back.

I’m curious if the trailer by the beach is at Smith Point halfway out on Long Island, people would keep their trailers there for 9 months and was a few miles from the train station. I spent many summers there as a kid so that’s fun to know he was creating it there.

Danny Goldberg is no 'unkown' figure.
He is a famous figure in the music industry - PR for Zeppelin, Vice Pres for Swan Song label, Manager of Nirvana, Author, President of Atlantic records, and Chairman of other labels. His Kiss career stared in 1976 when he did PR for Rock and Roll Over...and managed KISS in the Lick it Up and Animalize era. Was vital to the decision to take the makeup off.......and later put it back on as he was the label President during the Reunion/Psycho Circus era.

Danny Goldberg is married to Rosemary Carroll, an entertainment industry attorney, who was employed by Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. Goldberg is the creator of Gold Mountain Management and comes from the Led Zeppelin camp. He was once a CEO for Swan Song Records. Why Danny Goldberg is credited on KISS records? No idea. He does have a book out there....
