Some other notes on this kit, it completely counters the Riot Shield. And it is also completely disabled by EMP grenades. I don't know about the EMP streak though because I haven't had one called in against me while using it.
idk if it goes through riot shields, since for me it was kind of inconsistent against them. I think if there is an exposed part of their body that is not covered by the shield, they're dead.
You also show up on enemy radar like we’re talking advanced uav type of radar ping but it’s a dot instead of directional and it’s only active if you’re moving while charged.
It's kinda funny how JAK went from making reasonably realistic conversion kits at the start of the game, to becoming literal mad scientists, making laser rifles and electric shotguns by the end
It's a great counter to speed knifers. That's my best use case scenario. It was early yesterday when I unlocked and no one was countering it properly so I got 44 kills with 38 deaths. So GOOFY and definitely fun.
I'm already seeing comments about little quirks, but I figure I'll boost awareness. This counters shields. If you get EMP'd, you can't fire it. You also have a visible laser you can't see, but others can (at least in private match). You are not on radar while charging, unless my arrow is lying to me.
The laser is visible in public matches as well. I played against a lobby where a clown operator (I'm not saying that to be mean, they had a clown skin) was using this on Shipment & I always saw their laser on before they unleashed the "magic". They were consistently on the killing feed as well & I admit I died my fair share of times to it.
After a lot of testing.. It's fun to use within 7 meters, but it essentially handles like a modded version of a of Tac-19 from AW (Energy Shotgun) and a close range version of a Wunderwaffe DG-2 (Vunderwaffe in German) - So it's an energy based shotgun Kit that requires each repulse to be charged. If you can land it on one player or a huge group within 7 meters,you will take players down in one shot,even through riot shields. - 3 drawbacks are: The range limit of 7 meters,beyond this, nothing will happen,just a waste of a charge. After you shoot, you will have to recharge it again,but sometimes you might mess up, and the animation will fumble,so play smart. The 3rd downside is the kit turns it lethal,so no taking down streaks,field upgrades, or throwables,(except for a few that are on the ground like decoys and boxes)
I used this during a shipment match, I had alot of people rage texting. Also, vaulting while charging the gun will cancel the charge. That's why you loose it.
I highly recommend using All-Terrain Boots over Lightweight boots for this AMP for small maps. You move much faster while walking with the negligible downside of no tac sprint.
As nice as that would be the backlash from the fanbase would be insane. Regardless if the game was like peak Cod it would still be hated for that setting alone. The only exception to this was Bo3 for whatever reason.
I stopped caring what the CoD community thinks about stuff like this, but I love SHG for throwing that kind of stuff into their games. Now balancing, that's a different story, but MWIII was a great CoD!
This thing should’ve gotten a different behaviour when ADS’d - firing a ranged electric discharge that is better for longer range fights but I’m probably asking too much
@@shakeemsymonds7362 I think it’d be balanced enough even with the addition, though a cooldown after an ADS shot would help it; - No proper iron sights would keep it as guessing game if you can hit your shots (unless you know your point of aim) - Holding a charge would give away your position giving enemies a warning with a glowing muzzle and crackling energy In short it’d be like the Railgun from Halo 4/5, awesome damage potential but not suited for aggression
wanna balance it if it's too busted? Tighten the hipfire and maybe give it a bit more range. The more accurate you are the further you can get kills (like slugs but without built in deviation)
I was thinking that too. Reduce the spread to reward accuracy rather than wait and just vaporize anyone. (It technically can kill the whole team at once)
@TrueHush In 1 shot consistently?? It's impossible as it doesn't pierce through 6 people at once and has pellet spread. This gun does it within 7.5M meters guaranteed. You can be 1 pixel inside the hip fire spread, and it's a guaranteed kill.
One more thing to consider is while holding a charge you show up in real time on the mini map from my experience, I’ve ran into a few people using this and EVERY time they show up on the mini map while holding down their charge so that’s another thing to keep it in check
I don't mind the Lethal Range being so short, but I Wish the EMP Effective range was Separate. If the Lethal Range is Always a Kill shot, it wouldn't hurt to EMP the Enemy if you're just out of Lethal Range. If the normal Stormender has an Insane range, just Nerf the range to barely Reach UAVs with the Voltstorm modification.
you can tell when its fully charged the moment you hear the high pitched noise. It is able to fire right at the beginning of that sound, so you don't have to wait for the sound to play out.
Watched ImMarksman's video on using it in S&D and he mentioned that as long as your charging it you show up as a red dot the entire time as if you're on a advanced UAV minus the directional part. Definitely the gun I'd wanna use on Riot Shields users though.
Hot take: hipfire spread should never change on any gun. It should always be the same regardless of whether you're standing still or running. Maybe while jumping, yeah, but there is no point in making the hipfire spread tighter while standing still because you should never shoot from the hip while standing still anyway.

And yes I played the beta for b06 and it was horrible. It's just cold war with movement and it proves the point that cod releases the same game and charges 70-100 bucks for it aswell. (Depending on which version you like or want) anyway enough about that, my point is is that I'm quiting Cod permanently becuase I lost the ability to care for the franchise. I really like the new Aftermarket part and I only have 2 issues with it; that being the charge time and when the player mantles an object the part has to be charged again. My idea on fixing this is to decrease the charge time to 450ms that way the part is still a weapon that has to be timed and can be outgunned but the part will be slightly more viable. As far as the mantling penalty I understand that the player is releasing the trigger so the weapon is discharged but if an enemy is in a corner and the player decides to mantle into a window to surprise them then the person that tries to plan is going to loose; so I would like to see the penalty removed to reward planning around where a player might be and reward a person for planning.
Lightweight Boot? Not All-Terrain Boots? Yeah, the audio bug. There's also EMP/DDOS. I've found that at times I'm already holding the trigger and walking but it doesn't fire. Does EMP Effects disable the gun? Tac mask seems to counter that if so. At least that issue of "not firing" stopped happening.
Another thing to note which I haven't been able to test, If you hold the charge you stay live on the minimap like an advanced UAV without the direction. It may have been a bug but did notice it when playing against others yesterday. EDIT: Tested in private match and you stay on radar for a few seconds and then disappears
This looks like it behaves exactly how everyone things a shotgun in these games behave. Little do they know, if it really behaved like a shotty, it wouldn't be that consistent.
2 things I think you may have missed. 1: it appears to completely disregard the Riot Shield. and 2: Are you on radar when walking around while the weapon is charged?
I’ve had pretty fun with the kit, its on 2 of my classes one being in the shotgun class and the other is using all Secondaries with the Renetti being my other Secondary
Ace, one thing I think you didn’t mention is that if you have been hit by an EMP grenade that you literally cannot fire this weapon until the EMP effects have worn off! It also works through riot shields making it a very effective counter!

That is probably the most fun in the best item. In this game, it's kind of broken away, especially against shield, and I love it riot shield, spamming was so annoying. They should have brought this out sooner. I had someone almost try to kill me with the riot shield. He had his feet covered and everything because he would crouched. And I just shot him right through his shield. I bet he thought I was a hacker, but yeah, that was just amazing. I didn't like the storm Ander when it first came out. But now I finally haven't use for it. It sucks that I'm not gonna be using it. Until I hmm, get back on this game or maybe never cause. I'm not gonna use some more song. I've had a blast using it so I know it's only a matter of time before they nerf it into the ground to make it useless. We're not allowed to have fun in any way other than straight up gun fights and traditional gameplay. Anything outside the ordinary that is fun is not allowed in CoD and will be nerfed into oblivion

Man this kit really confused me my first time using it. I thought it was like a shotgun with slugs. I would shoot a wall farther than its like hit range and see like an explosive impact on the wall. And I didn’t know the range was that short until like two games after. What’s weird about it is that I was getting hit markers on a UAV. The regular stormender shoots it down in 2 shots but I was hitting it and got 3 shots and it flew away.
I found out that when you play the Havoc playlist and then go to another game mode. If that match had the advanced uav modifier then you will have advanced uav for free in the next match. Make use of this exploit before it gets patched
Realistically speaking, it doesn't matter how overpowered or underpowered it is, any weapon that has the ability to kill in one shot will be complained about by the vocal minority, regardless of the actual skill or setup required for the one hit kill.
I don't think it'll be an issue with BO6 around the corner, but I'm also skipping BO6 as I did not enjoy the beta with all the times i got killed from a random angle, so I'll be one of the few ruining a match for people here and there
Honestly Ace I disagree with most of your thoughts on the Voltstorm. Yeah, it's a cheesy aftermarket part but there's nothing wrong with it. CoD has been missing stuff like this for YEARS. What made the game so fun it was that you could do basically anything with either a good gun or a goofy ahh launcher and having success in both cases. Who cares about having skill or using a weapon that needs more than two braincells to master it, not to mention I'd rather die 100 times against this than seeing another tryhard with any of the ranked play skins using a boring ass meta gun on Shipment.
yet another reason why I switched to ranked only... give us basic guns, perks, a stun and nade, and no UAVs ... no dumb snipers that draw and shoot faster than pistols, no broken shotguns and thermites ... just gun on gun 4v4 play

The voltstorm is kind of annoying to face, but the akimbo shotguns are just better and significantly more annoying in the hands of someone competent.
This gun reminds me of that one exotic shock shotgun from Destiny 2 but in mw3 2023

in the firing range the dummies aren't within the one hit kill damage range so it just gives you a pointless hitmarker that doesn't man anything

I don't think it'll be an issue with BO6 around the corner, but I'm also skipping BO6 as I did not enjoy the beta with all the times i got killed from a random angle, so I'll be one of the few ruining a match for people here and there

Is it me or you don't need to fully charge to fire and get a lethal kill? I managed to get a few kills without fully charging and it works fine

Honestly Ace I disagree with most of your thoughts on the Voltstorm. Yeah, it's a cheesy aftermarket part but there's nothing wrong with it. CoD has been missing stuff like this for YEARS. What made the game so fun it was that you could do basically anything with either a good gun or a goofy ahh launcher and having success in both cases. Who cares about having skill or using a weapon that needs more than two braincells to master it, not to mention I'd rather die 100 times against this than seeing another tryhard with any of the ranked play skins using a boring ass meta gun on Shipment.
You can't take down airborne streaks the range is to short it should have a switch to change from ground to air targets.

I feel like this gun isnt that much different then alot of the shotguns in the game
yet another reason why I switched to ranked only... give us basic guns, perks, a stun and nade, and no UAVs ... no dumb snipers that draw and shoot faster than pistols, no broken shotguns and thermites ... just gun on gun 4v4 play

Because it is cheesy, it’s best use is area denial keeping it recharged at doorways. If you’re not doing that the gun is pretty useless
He has the attitude of a snobby comp player when he doesn’t even play public search and destroy 😂. Honestly crazy. If I tested weapons everyday I’d definitely use the unique ones. But no, he uses the same 4 shot AR and 5 shot SMG in every cod and acts like he’s what cod should be
