you do a better job promoting Rapid Set products than Rapid set does
Thanks for all your vids on rapid set products! As a lady who has virtually no "construction" skills, I was able to repair some pretty deep voids in my mother's carport after watching several of your videos on repeat for... a while. 😂 It is a decent looking diy patch job that I was able to do that solved a serious safety issue for her for under $100. The 2 contractors that came out to inspect & quote both wanted $1000+. I never would have attempted the repair myself without your videos. Thanks again!
Good job for being willing to take on a project like that. Your mother will appreciate your repair for a long time
They should be sponsoring you! Great instructional video!
Thank you Michael.
Love the "I know more than you do"!!!! 😂
WOW! Love the trip down the concrete isle.
Wow, that was excellent! Probably one of the most useful videos for the average Joe that I've seen you do. This one goes into the DIY playlist!
I'd love to see a video on stucco repair.
Perfect timing with this video, I have a bunch of steps I want to repair, but I also am not liking how it looks patchy after using it. Answers some questions i had!
Nice repair Michael and that rapid set concrete looks like a great product, especially for a DIYer! 👍👍
I have a cement apron that is sloped the wrong way. Is there an easy DIY way to set the proper slope?
Thanks for all your awesome videos.
Excellent work , you make it look so easy😊
Single most important concrete video ever. 80/20 rule FTW!
This was very helpful
I went to a decorative concrete training course in AZ yrs ago and the teacher claimed that the hydraulic cement like the rapid set line actually forms hooks when curing against existing concrete. Thought that was super interesting.
Thank you for the instructions and review. Im going to buying this product .
Really helpful thanks! Anyone in the UK know of any equivalent to cement all?
Might fine step repair Michael!! 😘
Micheal, ever try stamping w/ the Cement all? Have some small dry pour areas I'd love to overlay and slate stamp...
Great video my friend! Next spring, I need to make some patches to our front porch, now I have a slightly better chance of actually doing it right! Saving this in a ToDo note now.
Also, that was the perfect overview of the concrete isle... that was the concrete equivalent of the woodworking tour (S4S, board feet, rift sawn, 6/4, etc.). I now understand that isle. Thanks dude!
Off topic - you going to WBC again next year?
looking forward to the asphalt repair...hopefully covering pot holes
I'm interested in the asphalt resurfacer! My parents have a ton of little cracks in theirs, I think it's called alligator cracking, as do all of their south Florida neighbors. They do the asphalt sealant every year or so, but it whitens over time.
Thank you
Great video as always. I figured you’d be the person to ask. I have a front stoop still in great condition, but hate the brick look. What can I use to resurface and spruce it up to get rid of bricks but look awesome. If it was in bad shape, I’d replace it all but doesn’t make sense at this point. Update: you actually addressed this later in video. But I want to take it a step further. 😉
Thanks for the wander down the cement aisle. Quick question - Can you use the flow control and set control with Cement-All? I've got a part of my garage apron that has settled about 1.5" at the garage to zero at the other end. It's been the same for the 7 years I've owned the place, so I think it's done moving. It is about 10' x 8'. I'd like to level it out and the Cement-All seems like it might be the right product except for the time constraint. 15 minutes doesn't seem like it would be long enough to get it down and finished before it sets.
Absolutely! Just don't use flow control with vertical surfaces. No more than 4 baggies per 1 bag of product.
@@MichaelBuilds Thanks for the reply. Now, I've just got to get the time to pressure wash the apron and make it happen.
Thanks
A project I would like to do is put a little "speed bump" in my drive way. The paved drive has a gentle slope down to a car port. I would like to put something in front of the car port, so that most water will be channeled off to the side. Any thoughts on what I should use?
I have a brick chimney and in the basement and the mortar is Efflorescencing. Can I put something like this to cover and protect the brick and mortar or do I need to do something else ???
Micheal!!! Hiiiii!!!❤😄
Can I use cement-all to do a dry pour to level a pad under a small shed? 1.5 inch is the deepest down to 0 inches.
What does the aggregate in NewCrete compare to, withing the RapidSet family?
Finest.
OT: can CementAll be used to adhere tiles to concrete block wall?
What I would like to do is have decorative tiles embedded in a stuccoed wall. So, I would apply the tiles, then mask off, then stucco around the tile.
You're the man... 👍👍👍
Thanks for all the tips...
Would love to see you get the contract to redo the Disneyland Monorail beams in Anaheim
I started buying rapid set because of you! Thousands so far...
They can either sponsor you or I'll quit buying it.
You mentioned resurfacing, I have a flagstone porch that we would love to flatten out as a slab. Could a resurfacer cover flagstone? I was looking at pouring a slab but minimum thickness is like 2 or 3 inches but I don't want to increase the height that much.
Unfortunately, no. There are too many pieces for cracks to transition through.
@MichaelBuilds oh well, thanks
Michael, which product do you recommend for brick joints in a block wall. I need to do some repairs and put a brick or two back in place
Rapid Set Mortar Mix all the way! Just make sure to get yourself a tuck pointing trowel.
@@MichaelBuilds thank you for your valued opinion and cool projects. I've been here since the first vid. Still want to see you build some water fountains. Maybe with solar pumps if possible.
Question, which rapid sit will you use to make a boulder?.
Mortar Mix.
@@MichaelBuilds thank you so much!
What if I don’t need to fix, but instead build concert stairs? Can you work on a video on building a set of stairs for a walkway?
Floridan here: what is this "cold" thing in which you speak of? 😂
Lol
If I'm adding this over a surface that only needs a feathered amount to not build up height but want to match the existing broom finish, will it be thick enough to allow that? NVM I should've watched the last half of the video LOL
Speaking of sealants. I was cleaning out my chimney , getting ready for Winter, I see n a crack in the mortar going top down between the bricks. What kind of calking could use? Then can I take a step further and cover it in Portland cement and stamp it to look like Rick?
I keep watching your videos in hope that I might increase my skills..... so far no luck 😂
My local HD doesn’t carry rapid set and it really annoys me
Your so funny!
nWo
I hate when YouTUB channels don’t reply to comments in less you pay!!!
How odd and creepy! I literally just got back from buying Rapid Set Cement ALL and Concrete Mix at HD. I sit down after unloading and this pops up first. 🤔
