Just a couple of comments. This plugin also comes with a version you can drop right on your clip instead of over it. This is useful if you have transitions between clips and makes the transitions seamless. Also, you don't have to start at the beginning of your clip when dragging your points. Sometimes it's easer to place your tracking points at a different position of the timeline. Once you have them placed, you can hit the forward button and when done, just move back to where you started and press the back button. When done, press import.
If the shot is steady but someone is reaching for the phone and the phone itself is moving will attract and stay with the phone screen? I'm using the auto tracker right now 2.0 would it be worth for me to buy the perspective one that you have? Should I not be able to do the same thing with this one? Hi. How do I add a tracking to green screen footage to be moving together with main video? Lets say I have green screen footage eyes and I wanna add them to a toy dog which I am moving and I want the green screen eyes to be moving with the dog? How do I do it ? Thanks
You would need to Chroma key the green screen footage first. Then you could use the clip you keyed in the drop zone. We would recommend Auto Tracker 2.2 to have it follow the subject in that case. Great tutorial but the product does not function as advertised. Have very similar screen replacement situation (composition and contrast) but the tracking drift away from target no matter what setting I choose.
If you don't have Fjnal Cut 10.4.7 or higher and if you have Intel Iris Plus Graphics it won't work. Think that should be stated , if not you just lose your money :/

Can this tracker be used to mask a moving person and replace the background without the need to use manual keying?

try adding some form of tracking markers within the area you’re trying to track. i had the same issue. tracking markers resolved it
