Thanks Steve. I've been using Zoho 3 years. No spam, no ads. It was free when I joined. So far I haven't been asked to pay. I also have a free domain email for my business, unbelievable!
Hello Steve! This is the kind of video that you really shine explaining all the key points of "things". Please do more of this stuff. This is your thing. Great video.
Been a happy ZOHO user for over 10 years now, mostly for private purposes so I can't comment on its business services but its basic free email (ad free), contacts, calendar, tasks, notes and Notebook are right up there with Google, plus it respects your privacy.
I also use their wordprocessor and spreadsheet extensively and they are excellent. The latest version of Writer has a thing called Zia which is invoked by clicking on a tool bar icon in the upper right. It then analyses your document and makes many suggestions to improve grammar, sentence construction, over use of word types and just generally help you create a professional quality document. For me Google has a winning edge with its spreadsheet thanks to the incorporated query language. By comparison Zoho requires the use of another application to handle querying and data has to be transferred into that application (Zoho Creator.) At least that's how it was when I revisited it last year.
Come on Steve, bite the bullet and review other Zoho Apps. I have been using Zoho for many years and I am so impressed by the value they offer, especially for small companies.
You have to take something into account: Zoho is mainly focused on business. Whether it's a small, nascent project or a large corporation, Zoho adapts perfectly to your needs. Please, learn more about Zoho Writer and Zoho Sheets. You will discover attractive, different and more functional applications than could be imagined; not to mention its strength as a powerful intra-business collaboration tool. Billing, accounting, human resources, CRM are only some tools offered by Zoho that will make your business or project efficient and effective. Am I in love with Zoho? Of course yes!!! For several years now, Zoho continues to amaze me with its continuous improvements of useful and productive tools and, above all, cheap ... What every business needs
Steve, I've been using Zoho for OVER 10 years! Everything from Zoho CRM to Zoho Books (replacement for Quickbooks), Zoho Campaigns (replacement for MailChimp). Lots to explore. It can get complex at times. The Zoho Cliq is a tool I can use for private chat between Zoho users. Lots to explore .... there's a reason their conference is called Zoholics! :-D
Oh wow they have their own Quickbooks! Is it comparable function and price? I definitely have to look into it. Should i worry about their headquarters being outside of the US or is that actually a good thing? Definitely not liking The Google censorship stuff going on!
For a long time I have been looking for a CRM which isn't as complicated or expensive as many of the so-called industry leaders. I found ZOHO years ago but also found AGILE CRM. The comparison between the two is pretty close and I still lean towards staying with AGILE. I somehow feel there may be a contest between the two because both have many of the same or similar features including email. They are both worthy of consideration for anyone looking for cost-effective options. My only concern is the privacy of ANY program because much of the work is done in countries where data is gold and sold which in turn leads to SPAMMING and breaches. Unfortunately, that's the world we live in and NO COMPANY can or will guarantee absolute privacy. So it just comes down to doing your homework and buyer beware!
Hello, @dottotech Zoho has a free Mail Services and even a free Mail Suite using your own domain name.. Do more research about that' i have been using it for years now
Been using Zoho (and Google) for a long time. The Z suite for individuals is generally free, even if email is not. I use the drive and the various doc tools and agree there’s much to like over Ggl docs (which I also use extensively).. The Zoho app ecosystem is also quite extensive, with equivalents to Ggl on most fronts. Ultimately, I maintain both for redundancy. If something is really important, you better have two.
Hi, I would be interested to learn how you manage both Google and Zoho for your activity. I'm on Google/gmail, etc. for personal and professional purposes and I'd like to integrate Zoho and move a little bit farther from our dear Big Brother Google if possible. Thanks in advance. Eric
If ZoHo had great privacy and security, they'd get more free advertising from people online who want to get rid of most or all of their Microsoft and Google services and products. We WANT a pretty (GUI)/cool alternative. We prefer the Suite-type concept - a package that works and syncs together.
may be its changed since you first started using Zoho, i followed online instructions signed in then big message FREE FOR 3 months no option for work(business ) or to take private free option
Cool to see a vid on Zoho. been using it for a long time simply for email, but clearly not taking advantage of all the features. Thanks for sharing about it
Would you consider making an updated video for the 2023 Zoho Ecosystem covering these same tools? Thank you for your videos. Really great at explaining what is valuable and give a fair comparison!
competition is good for customers. I'm not sure yet how much I'll like ZoHo (though I though their ZoHo Notebook was fairly professional and found no bugs), but I am relieved that Google finally has a bit of competition. I am a bit afraid that an Indian company may not be professional enough, but at the same time, I am looking forward to overseas companies competing with Silicon Valley and conglomerate-America (even though I am American).
Thank you so much for this video, I am totally blown away by the possibilities of Zoho and, like you, I love the retro-but-better word processor and spreadsheet app!
Good stuff... ... BUT consistency in the interface - why office suites are used - is just that - why when much of the work done in both Word & Excel and their clones is the "same" do I now have to use a radically different UI. Anyway... ... for 'stuff' of say 50 "pages" or less in Word terms then, an office suite WP is fine, but ideally, the associated apps need to have look-feel-operate the same. So I'll stick with mine and add Scrivener, Text Expander (thank you) and Evernote as the primary toolset for me.
This is too much of a tease, lol! You have to review Zoho ONE - its the best multi-function tool for the price. You can't beat it. You are doing a disservice by not mentioning Zoho ONE in this video or making a separate one on it! Thanks!!
Thanks Steve, As usual, another excellent video. I'm in the process of adding more and more ZOHO products. One I really like is ZOHO Notebook, due to a better privacy environment as compared to Evernote. If I may pose a question, IMO ZOHO Notebook has a lot of similarities to Nimbus Notebook. what are your thoughts?
This sounds like it's designed more for the business users rather than the individual. I was hoping that the "basic" service included free email. It doesn't make sense to a non need like me to have email as a completely separate entity. I would love a follow up video on this in a couple of months, to see what you think about the transition experience and the email experience. I never heard of ZOLO before so I am always interested in a system that makes things simpler for a technically challenged elderly woman.
So the main problem is that mailing must be paid for. I can use other emails providers such as proton mail and tutanota for that. I think Ii will use it for documents and similar things👍

Hey Steve, Any chance you have a updated video of best Social Media Scheduling or Social Media Management video, Or maybe which 3 should I look into or would you recommend?
