I just install mine today in the front and I am more then happy with the product quality. Great improvement on my truck. I install it by myself and all I can say its broke my arms. Worth the investment.
Hi , quick question with the metal piece holding the sway bar links on front end . The thick metal part that’s in the middle

Do you make sway bar for my wife?
My only question is how to adjust the rear I have a 6-in lift
Same here wondering if it will work
Will this help with pulling trailers?
should have really upgraded the end links to polyurethane as well
You are correct, the mod works a lot better if you change out the endlinks as well. I changed mine to moog with polyurethane bushings.
I have airbags on my truck will this still work on the back?
I just installed hellwig front and rear swaybars on my 2016 F150 with a friend. Install was straight forward and the improvement at highway speeds and over rough road is fantastic, very happy with the upgrade. Highly recommended, significant sway reduction and excellent planted feel with much better highway speed tracking.
Sounds like a great upgrade, gonna have to do the same for my truck
StormTecify,
I certainly agree with you about how hard the lock nuts are to tighten. I kept starting and then taking then back out thinking I was crossthreading. Then I begai to wonder if someone at the factory mixed up the nuts and bolts. I finally sprayed WD40 on them (and recommend that to anyone else) and that help alot.
So you have to remove the exhaust and modify it to fit a supposedly bolt on installation, or is it a modify exhaust?
My exhaust is aftermarket :)
Just found this video and was wondering if the sway bars would help when towing a RV trailer straight down the road? I have a 2014 F150 with factory suspension. I've asked a few mechanics and no one seems to know.
I'm not suer either. Best thing to do is to call Hellwig and ask them directly. They're super helpful and they will be able to give you a straight answer.
This is the first time I've seen one of your videos. It was outstanding. Now I've got to see all of them.
Hi
I know this is a old post but what happens if you don't grease the brushing on the sway bars ?
Two things come to mind... 1 is that the friction between the bar and the bushing will cause the bushing to fall apart. The 2nd is that they will probably squeak
second
Would installing just on the front be a problem ?
Not at all... but you won't see the complete effect if you don't do both.
Question: I understand the Hellwig sway bar has 3 different mounting holes... you failed to mention in this video which one you used. I'm curious to know which you used when doing the comparisons between the "before" and "after", and if you experimented with the settings, and if so, how much each one alters the handling.
Mike Corbin I'd like to know too.
General rule of thumb with adjustable sway bars is the hole closest to the actual bar itself is the stiffest setting while the hole at the tip of the bar is the softest setting. It is essentially emulating different size bars. Which hole to use varies by driver and intended use. I had adjustable sway bars on my Mustang (Whiteline sway bars), and had both front and rear bars set to the stiffest settings. I was using the Mustang on the road course, however. For a truck, it would be safe to try the center hole, and go from there.
I bought a rear bar for my f150. Have not had time to install yet. Cannot wait to see the difference.
how was it?
+roywhiteo5 yeah
Install doesn’t get any easier than that! Gonna have to do this myself.
