I've had to replace my fuel pump 3 times in my 1990 camaro. People keep asking me if im going to cut an access hole. In the floor and im like nope because i would spend more time screwing around cutting the hole & making it not look like crap. Then it takes to just drop the rearend...😂

Virtually all modern JDM / European (and some domestic) cars ALL have fuel pump access panels, no fuss no muss, I love mine.
Very nice, a lot better than the hole I hacked in mine 15 years ago.

Looks good. Don't understand why anyone would question adding the access plate....no brainer for what you are doing IMHO.
There is nothing wrong with installing a trapdoor. It makes life so much easier when dealing with a fuel pump

I think I've got the same Allstar access panel. The zeuss nuts are aggravating me during installation. One fits in a valley so that side of the door is flush, but the 2nd zeuss nut misses the other valley and sticks up. Did you have the same issue? If yes, what is the resolution? Thanks!!

Nice job man! I'm gonna go ahead and order the same access panel you have there for mine. Thing looks really nice. My current pump works good but its small and will need upgraded in the future. What i wanted to ask was, did you flare the lines on the sending unit before using the injection hose?
As I explained in the video, what I did with the fuel lines was temporary because I knew I would be replacing the sending unit soon and I don't recommend doing it that way. You should either use compression fittings to reconnect the hardlines or use AN adapters to new AN lines. If you watched later videos You'll see I changed that entire setup about a month after doing this video.
I really needed to see how you riveted the springs down. This panel sucks, mine didnt come with any instructions. Maybe I'll just return it. Even checked their website...nothing

@@BadLuckGarage well I saw that you used rivets so then I got if figured out. Doesnt look like the rivets would even hold the small side but it does.

Im going to be doing a trap door on mine as well, my fuel pump gave out man and i just don’t want to drop the tank it’s a lot of crap i have todo just to drop it. Ill be stealing the rivet gun idea i was just gonna put screws or something this gives it a cleaner “i know what the fuck im doing” look haha. Also had to change a rubber fuel line my car reeked of gas i checked and saw one of the rubber fuel lines was old and ripped.
