@HolmesHobbies I'm not computer savvy by any means. If it weren't for a few esc programs I'd likely never touch one lol. It'll be a learning curve for sure!
lol, I was just thinking he should really do the stubby kit with this and you go and let us know how impatient you were Ease this in like a gentleman?? Did I really hear that?? hahahhaha epic! I have a REVOLVER 540 M 2023 TEAM SPEC 2250KV and v3 waiting for my vrd build. Oh and the background noise is a non issue for me personally. Thanks for the vid John.
Yesss make that 540m a permanent option!!! Such a great mix of light weight and power. Hands down my favorite motor. I personally love the 1800-2300kv range, maybe offer down to 1400kv or so as well. Background noise isn't bad at all with the fans, basically just like white noise, doesn't bother me at all, but wasn't bothered before
To avoid permanently soldering the motor wires to the esc, I mounted the esc to the crossmember behind the tranny. Then the battery on the l/h skid. The weight is still a respectable 58/42 split front to back with an overall 5.3lbs without the battery. This thing out-crawls my SCX10 Pro, but they are very, very close in capabilities. Btw, love the Team Spec 540 1800kv, and crawl-master V3 esc!
I will be placing my order tomorrow!!! I’ll take two please sir!!!! One for my vrd carbon one for my new stance or maybe drop in my fordyce with rock pirates purple chassis and purple KMCS I believe that I got from wheels of fortune!! Chefs kiss!!!!!
That’s exactly what I threw in my vrd with the stubby kit and love it the new crawlmaster v3 is my new favorite set up with the purple team spec 1800kv thanks John and I also made sure I went threw the homes hobbies site to help in the am32 project I hope let’s keep getting better 😊❤
I know when I do mine I'm definitely going to use your electronics and motor man I really just have it jumped into the 10th scale yet because of my job and being a single parent right now is pretty damn hard I definitely love the 24th and
I bought this motor / esc combo for my vrd but the new kv motor. What order do I have the wires when I’m plugging them into esc ? This is my first hh motor
heya John! do enjoy the fan noise in the background for the quiet times, i do have a quick couple questions. does motor wire and esc wire length affect heat or operation of the esc? and can i run a 2000kv 380 size motor on 4s on your crawl master mini v3 ? thanks for putting out great videos i always seem to learn something watching them, like the spur gear adjustment tip thanks again !
If a "specific" person has a purple stubby outrunner motor from your collection and has exploded 2 furitek 80a esc's both the black thingy that sticks out between motorwires exploded. The motor is fine, but is the furitek not so good or not good with your motor? Asking for a "friend" Ps. The fan is hearable but not interfering for me
i would love something around 2500kv on 4s. After running the 2250 on 4s for a while now with the v3 i am not sure i could make that work with this esc though.
Purple is awesome
Purple FTW.
Thanks!
And after all of your 3d printer videos I finally got one!
nice! have fun!

I'm a sucker for purple anodized stuff because of MTBs and RCs, gold too because of my ice hockey travel teams days as a kid... 💜
wow, i love those discontinued wheels
Love the 2250 revolver m
It,s looking good John
Long live the Beaver! 🤣
Love purple it's GCRC team colours. And please show the soldering ❤
Powah!!!!
1600-1800kv is great. These being a permanent stock motor is a wonderful idea. And Purple everything!!!!!

The fans sound like traffic in a NY apartment! Only when your not talking! Keep talking, John!!! 😂😂😂
hahaha, yep!
H8 the fans. Love lip Smackers
What esc do u prefer with this motor?? Appreciate all you do Mr Holmes!!!!
Crawlmaster v3
@@HolmesHobbies thank u sir
Same motor on my carbon. Works amazing.
Did you use the 56t spur? I dropped to the 52t on mine to clear the skid.
Yep let's see a soldering video

John, I sent in My "resume" for the team driver stuff the other day. I'm just curious if I will hear anything back either way.
Id love one around 2200 kv. I've got the 1800 and I love it. But just a little more wheel speed is all you need.
Will there be anymore 1800KV Team Spec available?
I need a purple please lol can’t find one
I’m running a 10tooth with the 2500. On 3 and 4 s
I dropped to a 10 tooth pinnion no rub on the skid
I know when I do mine I'm definitely going to use your electronics and motor man I really just have it jumped into the 10th scale yet because of my job and being a single parent right now is pretty damn hard I definitely love the 24th and
Has anyone else been addicted to Carbon Fibre
I have the 1800kv 540M and CM v2 going in my Carbon, if I ever get around to building it.
no loctite?? lovve the silver thumb but lill distracting on close shots
Let us know if the motor rubs on the skid plate. I ended up needing a spacer because I could see wear lines on the outside of the motor.
What is the ESC ? Did I miss that part?
Crawlmaster v3
NO PURPLE!! Gold looks soo much better with Carbon. Nice video as usual
Thanks 👍
The reason the videos with no body do so well is because we just all wanna see what’s in your truck
You should put a Subaru body on it lol
I bought this motor / esc combo for my vrd but the new kv motor. What order do I have the wires when I’m plugging them into esc ? This is my first hh motor
Why do you have one nail painted?
Direct solder
u know it!

Wire length isn't much of a concern
Definitely keep the 540M, far as KV oh 1800kv to 1900kv. Maybe do a 2050kv

How’s the v3 handling the higher kv so far
The v3 handles the team 2250 perfectly on 4s. It has never got to warm to touch. @@RecklesskrawlerRCdrewlandau
1800kv please
1400kv for that size
Hey whats with the silver thumb nail.....🙂
ya why the painted nail
Why not a 2300 with 12 tooth pinion??? You always say power up gear down!!!!!! Do i have a point or am i wrong??
Fan is maybe 20% too loud...
not that big a deal
seems like your mics have an autogain... when you're quite the fans get much louder.
they do, looking into new lav mic options...
Josh said on Vanquish Products Live yesterday that he thought 1800 KV was perfect with this gearing:
Try some J Concepts “Megalithic” tires 🛞
Try a G Speed Lilly body or Proline Coyote body
Fan noise to loud, distracting. Your audio quality is good!
it is distracting, my cameraman says the same!
