Well, well, well! PLEASE do more tutorials! I am 63 years old, have been playing sims 2 since it first came out, consider myself a fairly good builder in sims 2 and sims 3 and have been told I am an amazing builder in sims 4, and you managed to teach me something! I always wondered if my roof angle option was glitched in sims 2 as I would move that slider up and down and nothing would ever change. I finally had to use the roof cheat and type the number in. Of course, that would make all the roof sections be at that same slope. I never knew you had to slide it to where you wanted and then click the roof sections for them to change. I just expected them to move as I slid it...LOL Thank you so much. I now need to take a break from playing my families and practice more building.

Excellent. You are the first one who made me understand the basics of the mechanism of hand-laid roofs. Thank you!

Great job. My only complaint is I wish the audio was just a little louder. I'm hard of hearing.
Thanks so much for making this!

Thanks for the tutorial! I just caught up TS2, so I wonder: how functional is the nth floor with the roofs? Can one place sloped walls within the roofs?

This was great! Thank you for this easy to follow tutorial. The house looks great! 2 suggestions for future tutorials: the roof being black made it a bit hard to see, especially since I viewed this on mobile, so a light grey color would have made it easier. Also, the speed was a bit slow in some parts. Otherwise, great job with this video, I'll have to subscribe and check out more of your stuff 😊

The porch roofs are wrong, because they form water traps with the main roofs. You need to drag the hipped porch roofs all the way into the main roofs (and then reduce their angle) to avoid that.
Yes, I know water traps are not a real issue with the Sims games, but a real-life house would never have them.
One thing to remember with pitched roofs is that all rain water should run off all parts of the roof and not become trapped anywhere, as in-between the main and porch roofs of this house.
Thanks for the tip on making cornices.

Sims 2 is the still the BEST one. I have been playing the Sims since the beginning in the year 2000. I had my first computer and was looking for a game to play on it. I found "The Sims" in the discount bin at Costo, I think I paid $10.00 for it. I will never forget the first time I played, at first had no idea what to do until I started using the mouse and clicked around. I clicked on the toilet and make them use the toilet, I was like WHAT?!!!! NO way! Been in love with the sims ever since. I have been super disappointed with Sims 3, the sims were ugly and tons of bugs and the Sims 4 is just plain ol BORING. I wish the Sims 2 would be relaunched with all the build and design tools of the Sims 3-4. Sims 2 is still my favorite and I play it just about everyday....... LOL
