Today we're taking a look at my top 10 favourite Hypercars in Forza Horizon 5, cars like the Lotus Evija, Mercedes CLK GTR Forza Edition, Aston Martin Valhalla and MANY more!! All the gameplay you see is a single lap of the NEW Horizon Festival Circuit and all the cars have been fully upgraded using the stock engine only!! A quick question: does the CLK GTR shown have the stock V12 like the ordinary CLK GTR? Just asking because I thought it might sound more aggressive like in the previous titles, unless it has been engine swapped but considered stock as a Forza edition? Thanks.

The Apollo is honestly one of the best handling cars I’ve ever driven, I maxed it out and barely adjusted the gear for a bit more speed and I never went off the road or had any wheel spin, that car is amazing
Car sounds are definitely improved, but why did they have to keep the "microwave popcorn" exhaust pop sounds from the last 2 games? I mean they went through the trouble to make the flames look better, but not the popcorn sound. Anyways, loved the video! This is one of the only game series I actually pre-order each release, lol.
The sounds are probably gonna be better just for the cars that they showcased durning the streams, the pops are still the same popcorn bs and other cars will most definetly have the generic I4, V6, V8, V10 etc. sounds that we had in FH4. But that is the reality with so many cars, they cant and I bet my left testie they havent recorded the sound of every single car in the game. But since there is gonna be mod support I still have hope, because the community will create good sound mods, if that is gonna be possible. Lets hope for the best tho!
I think the developers have learned their lesson from FH4. The cars in FH5 sounds so good that even the Speedtail sounds amazing! It sounded bland before but now? They all sound amazing and I love how you can hear them straight cuts go wheee much louder. I have high hopes for this game! As a TDU fan, I wonder how TDU SC will cope with FH5 😏 Other than that, thank you for amazing video as always and keep on grinding Don! 👍
These cars are awesome! Not to mention your skills are already insane as well A little off topic, but my train of thought got me thinking about the potential DLC’s and Expansions that we may get in the future. Who else thinks that a modern city expansion focused on JDM cars, drifting, and a night time vibe in a city with skyscrapers, parking buildings to drift up and down, and car customization as a main theme, would be epic? I cant wait to see the expansions no matter what they are, but a city would be pretty cool
The V12 Sesto Elemento that you showed off in the previous video is my personal favorite but all of these are awesome. Great video as always. Best Forza content on YT. Keep it up man👍
absolutely cannot wait for this game. is it just me or does the overall map design also look a lot better? not talking visually, but most roads and circuits ive seen driven look a lot more fun to drive on. im seeing more big banked turns, high speed hairpins, and massive straights. keep up the good work don :))
It's a definite step up compared to FH4 for sure. But that Vulcan AMR Pro in the beginning still sounded artificial to me, especially when it "snaps" to the redline. I'm hoping they continue to iterate on the engine sounds. Because if Codemasters with DiRT Rally and Polyphony Digital with Gran Turismo can produce magnificent engine noises, so too can Playground.

So many beautiful cars... but i like the old style of the Diablo. The sound is got to be the Vulcan AMR. Can't wait to drive these cars and see how they feel.
Hey Don, love the vid as always. If you have any swing with the developers, could you suggest they put an option in to allow us to change how each unit of measurement is shown. Eg: I'd like to have speed shown in KPH and power/torque shown in HP/LB FT...

The ray tracing audio makes these cars sound infinitely better than any other game while in a race. Its not even a fucking competition. Just gives so much unprecedented life to the environments. It'll be even more noticable in lower class races. Make em more fun too
the car sounds are definitely much better than in FH4 but it feel like especially on those downshifts the cars still sound a bit tame compared to irl. especially noticeable on the zonda

I feel like the gear changes in general arent great, its sounds like its just dropping down or going up in pitch depending on whether you change up or down. Could be due to gearbox upgrades though. The zonda does sound so much better irl due to the gear change sounds, also idk if its just me the v12s sound a lot more hollow than what i wouldve expected. Love that the sounds have a lot more going on now though

All of the extra little details aswell as the NEW details just make the game so significant and unique. This game and the Playground Games team have gone to the absolute extreme.

I think Ferrari and AMG sounds amazing. 💯🔥 Horizon really did great job at car exhaust sounds this time. Thinking about how other undiscovered cars would sound?
(i wrote a whole list for this comment lol) cars that sound better in Horizon 5 than 4: Zonda R, Aston Martin Vulcan (surprisingly only had 991 horse power) cars that sound the same in Horizon 5: 599XX EVO and Apollo Intensa Emozione (it sounded like they didn't try at all to make the V12 sound better) I hope they add a sound to the Lotus Evija like an electronic whir or something (and great work as always)
Also spotted another bug, on the gt2rs or gt3 rs in the video, with the widebodykit on the car the flames are missplaced, the exhausts were in the middle but flames came out of the bottom corners of the car, not the exhausts in the middle. Awesome video! Cant wait, and the aston martin vulcan amr pro sounds crazy! Ps in my opinon i wouldve rather had the aston martin kalrie then the valhalla.
One thing I had hoped for was more steering wheel rotation. Many games have this now but with forza the steering wheel doesnt even move 180 degrees no matter what you do. Game looks badass though~!
I just went against my better judgement and pre-ordered the ultimate edition: $108 later and I will be living on instant noodles for the rest of the month.
No reason to do that...you can get the premium upgrades for $44.99 like I did with my Game pass Ultimate and XSX...no reason to own the game when it'll be on Game pass for 3 years and you still play on November 5th

Nice vid Don, you missed the Saleen S7, try it stock engine Max upgrade with Supercharger (filter street and exhaust race I can't remember, but it just has that badass whine when you test it)
The game footage gets me more excited with every upload. The cars look and sound great, new ones to try plus returning favourites. Are there two AMG Ones in the game, regular and FE or only FE? I haven't checked the car list in a while, gets me too excited.
Theres some people that are complaining why we have less cars, or why we have the same cars that have been in fh4 and a non updated list of cars, i for one im not one of them but... i guess if we were to add in many 2021 and 2022 cars into the game you would be hearing a lot of silly 4 cylinder turbo noises and no noise at all!! As most of the manufacturers have instead opted out for a super eco friendly battery powered piece of sheet like the lotus evija at around 6:50 and that... ladies and gents is why the "outdated" car list is MILES better
If we started FH5 at 751 cars, what would be left to add in the monthly updates? We'd never get used to the cars we have. 559 odd is a great number to start at, and I can't wait to hear the new sounds and see what upgrades we now have available for our old favourites.
CLK-GTR FE - fitting, a bit whooshy (recording mistake?) and definitely too low pitched for a 10kRPM redline, but a nice sample regardless. Apollo IE - sounds more Lambo engine than Ferrari-derived like the real car is, but I can't really complain. Zonda R - IMO should swap sounds with the Diablo GTR, it's got a bit of old school grunt as opposed to the LOUD scream of the Zonda. MUCH improved from FH4 though. Diablo GTR - see above. Bit too screamy IMO, but then again it's the GTR and not the SV soooo... Valhalla - not too sure what the real car sounds like but given it's a 120° V6 I guess it fits. Very well made sample too. Evija - Okay I know it's an EV but why is there no electric hum at all? Preview build mishap or what? Vulcan AMR Pro - It already sounded beastly in older Forzas, it came back stronger than ever. Speedtail - Better than the FH4 Macca V8 sample but it's kinda weird and rattly? I like it though. 599XX Evo - Blown away. Best sounding car in the vid IMHO. (Zonda R should take some notes from this... :P) AMG One - we've heard this countless times, it's close to a modern day F1, so it's fitting.
Great video as always but I have to say, I'm not the biggest fan of a lot of the new car sounds. Often times they sound too mechanical for the 3rd person view, so it sounds too much like a mix between induction noise and the valve train working and you can't really hear the distinctive sound of the racing V12 in the Sesto Elemento for example. The Vulcan AMR, Diablo GTR and 599XX Evo also sound really muffled, the real distinctive sound of those engines are missing.
it sounds horrible LOL, nothing like the real car at all. the zonda R is so loud it's banned on racetracks irl, but in FH5 it sounds about as threatening as a Dyson. seriously hope these aren't the final product but with a month to go i don't have high hopes.

@@eetusalonen5186 aight lemme approach it from a more rational perspective to explain what i mean so I don't sound as baselessly negative. i really do want the best for the forza series and so far this is feeling like a mixed bag of upgrades and downgrades, not a unilateral improvement of *everything* as in previous horizon games, the vehicle sounds are still missing some lowrange and highrange audio depth, it really sounds like it's all in the mids...as a result none of the vehicle audio feels like it has weight or heft and feels unsatisfying... look at Forza Motorsport 4 examples of car sounds to see what I mean. yes there's a fair amount of audio crust due to the era, but it has *character* and *depth* to the sound - whereas in FH5 the V8 in the Valhalla sounds more like an I4...
Okay that makes sense and i agree with that as in you really dont get that growling sound as in most cars that you can see. But there has been progress for like 2jz engines and muscle cars. But i have high hopes for the future

I was wondering if you could do a video showcasing all of the cars with a race mode? Like what you did with body kits and unique upgrades in other Forza games
Race mode and Freeroam convertibles wasn't working properly on the build we had (They will in the full game) So unfortunately I couldn't really show anything. The AMG ONE race mode and the Portofino roof were the only 2 that worked :/
Really struggling with the amg one. It’s like it has quaduasteer and crab walks thru corners. That, and it’s just not fast enuf imo. It’s an incredible machine tho. Nice work
How the is Vulcan AMR Pro like to drive? It was one of the cars i waited the most to see on FH4 and it didn't feel like a racecar at all, AWD, RWD, mininum upgrade, maxxed out, none of them. I'm really into supercars and hypercars, and seems like there'll be a lot to have fun with whoever likes speeeed. I haven't caught your streams up anymore due a lot of work, but i hope to be back when the game is out. Keep it up man.

The one that surprised me was the Speedtail! Didn't expect it to be so loud! But my favorite was the 599XX! That thing sounds godly! 😮

@@SW-8228 the LFA was great, but The Carrera GT IMO was lacking a little bit, I preferred the way that FM7 actually made the sound of it.
In some of the toyota supra videos other youtubers have uploaded you can hear the 4,8l v10 for like 1-2 sec as they go through engine swaps

No reason to do that...you can get the premium upgrades for $44.99 like I did with my Game pass Ultimate and XSX...no reason to own the game when it'll be on Game pass for 3 years and you still play on November 5th

Haven’t seen this guy’s videos since I last played Forza back in Horizon 3 but damn am I excited for Horizon 5 and only more so after watching this video, so glad I stayed subscribed!

Nice vid Don, you missed the Saleen S7, try it stock engine Max upgrade with Supercharger (filter street and exhaust race I can't remember, but it just has that badass whine when you test it)
Well the fxx ego has got realy good sound so my favourites are Mercedes amg one, aston nertin vulkan amr and ferrary fxx evo

That sort of turbo injection on the Apollo is amazing
The game footage gets me more excited with every upload. The cars look and sound great, new ones to try plus returning favourites. Are there two AMG Ones in the game, regular and FE or only FE? I haven't checked the car list in a while, gets me too excited.
Theres some people that are complaining why we have less cars, or why we have the same cars that have been in fh4 and a non updated list of cars, i for one im not one of them but... i guess if we were to add in many 2021 and 2022 cars into the game you would be hearing a lot of silly 4 cylinder turbo noises and no noise at all!! As most of the manufacturers have instead opted out for a super eco friendly battery powered piece of sheet like the lotus evija at around 6:50 and that... ladies and gents is why the "outdated" car list is MILES better
If we started FH5 at 751 cars, what would be left to add in the monthly updates? We'd never get used to the cars we have. 559 odd is a great number to start at, and I can't wait to hear the new sounds and see what upgrades we now have available for our old favourites.

CLK-GTR FE - fitting, a bit whooshy (recording mistake?) and definitely too low pitched for a 10kRPM redline, but a nice sample regardless.
Apollo IE - sounds more Lambo engine than Ferrari-derived like the real car is, but I can't really complain.
Zonda R - IMO should swap sounds with the Diablo GTR, it's got a bit of old school grunt as opposed to the LOUD scream of the Zonda. MUCH improved from FH4 though.
Diablo GTR - see above. Bit too screamy IMO, but then again it's the GTR and not the SV soooo...
Valhalla - not too sure what the real car sounds like but given it's a 120° V6 I guess it fits. Very well made sample too.
Evija - Okay I know it's an EV but why is there no electric hum at all? Preview build mishap or what?
Vulcan AMR Pro - It already sounded beastly in older Forzas, it came back stronger than ever.
Speedtail - Better than the FH4 Macca V8 sample but it's kinda weird and rattly? I like it though.
599XX Evo - Blown away. Best sounding car in the vid IMHO. (Zonda R should take some notes from this... :P)
AMG One - we've heard this countless times, it's close to a modern day F1, so it's fitting.
Agree with the Lotus, no electric motor whine?

Am happy the mercedes CLK in general is getting love not alot of people like the car but me ever since it was in (Midnight club 3 dub edition)
Great video as always but I have to say, I'm not the biggest fan of a lot of the new car sounds. Often times they sound too mechanical for the 3rd person view, so it sounds too much like a mix between induction noise and the valve train working and you can't really hear the distinctive sound of the racing V12 in the Sesto Elemento for example. The Vulcan AMR, Diablo GTR and 599XX Evo also sound really muffled, the real distinctive sound of those engines are missing.
The AMG One and the Valhalla are the ones I am looking forward to drive
I have got to say that Zonda sounds amazing. And when you drove that Sesto Elemento you could actually hear the turbo
it sounds horrible LOL, nothing like the real car at all. the zonda R is so loud it's banned on racetracks irl, but in FH5 it sounds about as threatening as a Dyson. seriously hope these aren't the final product but with a month to go i don't have high hopes.
@@TheRCTAddict if you are that negative towards the upgrades that playground made in the sounds im really sorry for you most of them sound 10 times better. And you cant replicate that type of sound even on video seen in f1
@@eetusalonen5186 aight lemme approach it from a more rational perspective to explain what i mean so I don't sound as baselessly negative. i really do want the best for the forza series and so far this is feeling like a mixed bag of upgrades and downgrades, not a unilateral improvement of *everything*
as in previous horizon games, the vehicle sounds are still missing some lowrange and highrange audio depth, it really sounds like it's all in the mids...as a result none of the vehicle audio feels like it has weight or heft and feels unsatisfying...
look at Forza Motorsport 4 examples of car sounds to see what I mean. yes there's a fair amount of audio crust due to the era, but it has *character* and *depth* to the sound - whereas in FH5 the V8 in the Valhalla sounds more like an I4...
Okay that makes sense and i agree with that as in you really dont get that growling sound as in most cars that you can see. But there has been progress for like 2jz engines and muscle cars. But i have high hopes for the future

My GOD the AMR-Pro sounds incredible!
What I will do when I get the AMG One:
1) Put in an 8 speed gearbox
2) Upgrade the engine a tad (plus camshaft)
3) Put on slick tyres
It has an 8 speed stock because it's an F1 PU.
The engine likely can't be upgraded because it's an F1 PU.

I was wondering if you could do a video showcasing all of the cars with a race mode? Like what you did with body kits and unique upgrades in other Forza games
Race mode and Freeroam convertibles wasn't working properly on the build we had (They will in the full game) So unfortunately I couldn't really show anything.
The AMG ONE race mode and the Portofino roof were the only 2 that worked :/

Really struggling with the amg one. It’s like it has quaduasteer and crab walks thru corners. That, and it’s just not fast enuf imo. It’s an incredible machine tho. Nice work

How the is Vulcan AMR Pro like to drive? It was one of the cars i waited the most to see on FH4 and it didn't feel like a racecar at all, AWD, RWD, mininum upgrade, maxxed out, none of them.
I'm really into supercars and hypercars, and seems like there'll be a lot to have fun with whoever likes speeeed. I haven't caught your streams up anymore due a lot of work, but i hope to be back when the game is out. Keep it up man.

@Don Joewon Song: #2 The Apollo IE, in FH4 Ido LOVE my car, however, it never sounded correct... I don't know if it's just me but in FH5 here it sounds worse ...pitched too high or something IDK. If we look up the REAL car on TH-cam we hear completely different sounds ... it's BADASS period..what I wouldn't give just to do a ride along on the track - just one lap 😎 *bucket list* 😉 Thanks for this.
